UK-based online gaming publication NowGamer has received the final code of Final Fantasy XIII for Xbox 360. After beating the PlayStation 3 game, their team decided to look into the differences between the two.
They pointed out that the Xbox 360 version of the game is faced with lower resolution textures causing characters’ clothing to lack as much detail the PlayStation 3 version offers.
Some objects and enemies in the environment appear to be less detailed, as well, both in texture and geometry.
Finally, they stress the game’s CG as “extremely compressed” compared to the PlayStation 3 version comparing it to the “stunning HD” blu-ray offers.
Believe it or not, this isn’t surprising. I think we could of all seen this coming. Could this have been the reason for Square Enix’s recent bullshots?

i HAVE BOTH 360 AND PS3 but I want to buy it on Xbox 360 and I dont want this kind of news stopping me. The GAMES are exactly the same shit. This is just people dissing the 360 vesion because OMG its The fist FF RPG on 360 lets DISS it! Well you know what people who say that can go Die >_> Im getting it for 360 because I like Xbox more than ps3
The graphics are ALMOST the same who cares of a slight difference. "Omg im not gonna play the 360 version cause it has 0.1% worse graphics" Well GTFO 360 dissers.
I'm convinced this is the reason the started messing about with the comparison screenshots though.
Hearing different things from different publications does make me interested in seeing some screen-by-screen comparisons though.
