...is getting RIDICULOUS on normal enemies, its nigh on impossible to hit, and like my dex was fine until I got into this area and the fuckign EVA has gone through the roof

I'd be ok if I was a mage

I'm inclined to agree; my DEX is far from specialised in, but it's still pretty good... and I keep missing like there's no tomorrow. =/ Playing this is now seeming more like a task/struggle than fun and entertaining.

If you're a warrior, shouldn't you have high dex anyway? o_O

Ye should be able to level up 2/3 times in the incarnate cave, why not stick the points into DEX? Or alternatively, master the master form attack type and equip double fenrirs for added DEX.

I also concur. I know I'm a low level, but I find it irritating that my regular attacks routinely miss regular enemies 7 out of 8 attempts.

If you dual-wield your most likely to miss A LOT more than one-wielding, even if you have more Dex than your opponent Eva. Also Dex is a crucial stat, as a warrior/assasin you should always have it high.

That's the thing; because monsters are becoming so much stronger, we're having to spread out our stat points over far more than in previous RPG releases. DEF/EVA is virtually essential, and SPD is a huge necessity now too. Offensive is a given, and HP is always required - leaving little room for our DEX to be high enough to comfortably deal with REGULAR monsters.

imo, you guys are focusing too strongly on making this hard rather than challengingly fun.

i was just wondering if eva stat has an affect on magic hit rate. so if you have a higher eva stats, would that make magic miss you more like how it is with physical attack or it doesn't play a role in magic hit rate at all

It doesn't to the best of my knowledge, each spell has a miss rate that is independent of the target's EVA stat.

Yeah, like Afghan Whigs said. And about monsters evading attacks...it hasn't been a problem at all for me in some time, I can't remember the last time an attack of mine missed, and my DEX is currently at 80. :P

Remember, weight of armour can messup DEX. So make sure the weight of your armou is lower than max. Don't have it too close or you will miss. Meaning higher str will help with dex also.

Only MAG DEF helps with that. Which brings me to spells. Spells tend to get overpowered. Don't think a spell should hit near 200 in the lower level areas.
