tidus looks like chappu?

i can't see it myself. not got any pictures but everyone knows what tidus looks like, and chappu can be found quite easily. Does anyone else see the resemblance, and if you can please point it out

There's a slight resemblance, but not much at all.

Judging by the way it's built up with the conversation between Wakka and Lulu at Besaid, you'd think they were identical.

Maybe its not a good idea to compare a main characters 'cut-scene' face with a minor eh Bam? Graphically its a huge difference, try using a pic of Tidus during a part you move him about in gameplay

I think they do look alike facially, but the hair and everything else is clearly not identical at all. Maybe they thought Sin had an onboard hair salon within it's gut for Chappu to get a make-over

Yeah, if anything, Chappu looks alot like Wakka. I can't see the resemblance between Chappu and Tidus! Maybe in the face? Ugh, I don't know either. But honestly, I don't see them as looking much alike AT ALL. Now if Chappu had the blond, Meg Ryan hair cut, and it was a tad longer then maybe.

Oi Moony, That's what I tried to do but I couldnt find anything. At least I didn't use his face from an FMV, he doesn't look like the same person there xD

The facial design is similar, of course, but there's very little provided for the player to stand up and say "yeah, they've a lot [physically] in common!" As mentioned, you'd expect them to be near-identical though.

Try comparing him to this picture.

You can definitely see the resemblance in the facial structure, especially the eyes, eyebrows and nose.

Maybe they were saying that Chappu's personality is so similar to that of Tidus that it makes them seem alike.

I know i've had two friends that acted very similar and it reminded me of them when they talked or had certain actions about themselves.

But, in terms of physical looks, nahhh, I don't see it at all.

They do look slightly simular but I wouldn't call it a big enough resemblence to be mentioned the way it is in the game.

I liked the idea of having that hair salon onboard Sin. rep point for you!

Anyway, I think somehow Square wanted us to just look at the value Wakka holds for his family. Whether or not Tidus and Chappu looked alike, the focus was on Wakka's experience which has made him come to hate Sin. (be they opposite skin colored)

But, going back to the topic, no, for me Chappu and Tidus don't look alike. Boo boo for Square on that one.

maybe Wakka and Chappu are ancient decedents of Tidus' family, not very likely but it is indeed possible and the hair is explained by 1 thousand years of breeding. but they do look similar asides from the hair and their outfits,

I think because Chappu was only a minor character and Tidus was the main character it would be difficult to see any resemblance due the the fact that Chappu only has background character design, if you know what I mean. Anyway if they had at least one scene where you could see Chappu's face in more detail you might be able to see if they are identical.

I doubt Lulu and Wakka were talking about personality since the quote is actually: "He does look a lot like Chappu."

The eyebrows, eye shape, nose and mouth are very simular. You won't see much from pics, due to differences in facial expressions and gfx, but while playing the game and seeing Chappu, I really can see the resemblance...

No, I really don't think that's the case. In the beginning when Lulu and Wakka are outside talking she says "He does look a lot like Chappu. I was surprised too when I first saw him"

And then when Tidus asks Wakka about Chappu Wakka says, "My little brother, Chappu. He looked like you." If you study the picture that I compared Tidus to with Chappu, they really do look somewhat similar.
