I just thought there should be a place for members to post their latest FF gatherings: (I didn't see anything like this on the Forum so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!)

While I didn't Purchase these I did get gifts!:

I got FF books for Christmas! Both from Dark Horse, one covering Yoshitaka Amano with a massive Biography throughout his career. The 2nd being something I have also been eager to get which is the 2nd Volume of the Final Fantasy Ultimania series - This one covers 7-9 which are my favourites. The book features all sorts of goodies and surprises I had a great time looking through it :)

I also got Distant Worlds Volume III on Vinyl! Thrilled to have these. Another little treat I got was a Play Arts model of Sephiroth, A Kingdom hearts design I've always been fond of :) It is boxed, but I sit him on my PS1 shelf in battle with my PlayArts Vivi figure :P

I did order some tickets for Distant Worlds concert @ The Royal Albert hall in May, I've been once before already at the 25th Anniversary event but I couldn't say no when I saw tickets went live.

Moved to Final Fantasy General

my last purchase was Chocobo Tales for the DS :yay:
it was on sale for $4.99 on the SE store so I had to grab it!

The latest FF purchase was actually yesterday on amazon. Bought the Final Fantasy Ultimania Volume 2. It should be here by tomorrow. :)

My copy of Ultimania vol. 2 arrived yesterday, need to go volume 1 now!

Got a few FF goodies over the last month:

Really enjoyed listening to the Jazz Albums online so thought I'd dig in and get them, as I can imagine them becoming out of print in time. I also had fun with the VII Brass de Bravo album - Though I think 3 dedicated tracks to the end bosses was a bit excessive.

Incase anyone is curious you can listen to the FFVII Bravo' Album on YouTube:

Also, they have the Jazz albums too:
Final Fantasy Edition Vol1) - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDqvF39VbBULMVNMws_UogesldsGz1wrP
Square Enix Edition (Vol2) - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx7mP-9E-Nn12C4sOGQSeRrC0pHvaxAmy

& Final Fantasy V Advance... one of the few FF's I've yet to experience... that will be recitified from tonight - I tried putting it on my DS... Could barely read the text :P

Oh! I also managed to snag a Mint copy of FFVII for £4!

Finally got the Japanese Limited Edition of Shenmue I & II with that lush 2-Disc Soundtrack! Really happy to have this as I finally got it off eBay from a UK seller. I also gota copy of Retro Gamer to read up on Virtua Fighter a bit more.

I got a Retro Gamer Edition with a feature on Final Fantasy saw this magazine from the same seller and thought it would be worth it. The Import is a Chocobo Dungeon game - Which is a Remaster of a Wii title, it's your typical rogue game with dungeons that randonmly generate. The appeal to me was that apparently it has 2-Player functionality.

Got a few FF goodies in the last month:

Decided to import World of Final Fantasy MAXIMA - Played it on PS4 & loved it but sadly we never got a PS4 MAXIMA Release!
i got XII's soundtrack on an off chance, it's not my favourite FF but I got it for a good deal and it's practically mint!
Finally, I got BradyGames FF2 guide for PSP! I have been trying to get a guide for each mainline FF title and only needed the first 2 games, so I was planning either get these PSPS version or the PS1 Origins Guide - I have the PS1 Anthology guide already.

Got access to an exclusive early release of Distant Worlds V!:
7415

I got a couple of neat books lately :):
7749

The first book is the last in Dark Horses Final Fantasy Ultimania series which covers X-XIV (XIV being very thin), They're great books to have a flic through for FF treats :)

The other has been one I have wanted to get my hands on for years, it's the Final Fantasy XV Artbook included in XV's Ultra Expensive Edition. Good thing is it's a proper sized arrbook with nearly 200 pages, very glad to finally have this.

Oh! Almost forgot, I snagged a Steelbook Edition of Dissidia too:
7750

If anyone else gets any FF pickups - Anything FF Related at all! Please feel free to post, sof far I seem like a right FF dork :P

Something exciting has arrived today!!!:

This is the FINAL FANTASY 20TH ANNIVERSARY ARTBOOK featuring Yoshitaka Amano's artworks :) I've been after this book for years and finally snagged a good deal off eBay

It doesn't having anything we haven't seen before but I do look the size and acccessability of the book! It's perfect for the casual flick through unlike the Behemoth which is Dark Horse's The Sky! - Which I also have and adore too!

Also seems to come with a DVD Which I'm thinking features a Distant Worlds concert? Really pleased I have this now :)

^

Woah!

That book looks incredible. I'm a huge fan of Amano and those are very clear, very excellent full-page versions of those pieces.

If the DVD works, let me know what is actually on it. I'm curious. :D

I am still debating if I want to order the Switch version, if so it will have to be the Asian version so X-2 is on the cart! I don't currently own a Switch, but that could seriously change next year with the release of Xenoblade Chronicles Remastered!

It's well up there as one of my favourite consoles. I have so many FF games on there now so I can take them everywhere I go.
Other notable titles for me though not necassarily exclusives, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade 2 (I thoroughly enjoyed this), Dragon quest builders 2, Dragon quest XI, I enjoyed I am Setsuna too plus I can play SNES breath of fire on there

And my current waiting in the wings games to be played -
Valkyria chronicles 4
Tales of Vesperia

It's quite incredible when you consider it's only what, 2 years old?

Certainly are a few good titles, the problem is I have had a Nintendo Switch before and it got sidelined by the pure flood of titles I've been playing on the PS4 - Which for the last 3-4 years has easily given a new title on a monthly basis! I had the console for year and never played it, so I sold it online. The main incentive was Xenoblade Chronicles 2, as the 1st game is on my top 10 games off all time, it brought back the JRPG experience I'd been longing for since The Last Odyssey! XC2 I just couldn't get along with, it was just to animey for my taste & I did try!

I also have a weird separate issue with Nintendo in the sense that I look at their 1st party line up and think I should really be into this but never can enjoy myself. With Zelda I don't like dungeon crawlers & silent protagonists. With Smash Bros' I never liked the combat system. I will say I enjoyed MarioKart 8 this time around much more than the pathetic Wii offering. But the reason I got a Wii originally was for the wonderful Operation Rainfall project - Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story & Pandora's Tower! All 3 made owning the console worth it alone, but my experience with the Switch & Wii U wasn't as gripping.

But FFX on the go, on a reasonably sized screen is very appealing! So I will certainly consider it, as there are a few other titles I have my eye on like World Ends With You & the Grandia HD Collection (Hoping it gets a PS4 release though...)

Snagged a little deal this week on eBay:
FF15SOUND1.jpg

It's the Soundtrack that was part of the Ultimate Collector's Edition for Final Fantasy XV. I've never had a Blu-Ray Soundtrack before, just the concept of using a Blu-Ray instead of a typical CD-R seems strange to me but for £3.99 I thought 'd give it a go. Received all fine & I had a spare FFXV case to pop it in as I put my standard Edition in my Steelbook I bought online.

Well, I got a lot more than I bargained for!
FF15SOUND2.jpg

While I don't believe it holds the entire Original Soundtrack to Final Fantasy XV, it features 29 Tracks but what it does also include are tracks for Brotherhood & Kingsglaive (Only 9 Tracks for Kingsglaive but thats still more than them lousy sample CD's we'd get in the EU Special Editions!) So that was a nice surprise!

While you play the songs it plays it like a Film would work, having screenshots in the background - Which honeslty looked a bit rough.
FF15SOUND3.JPG

After looking around I see in the Extras Tab you can look about getting the tracks imported to file, if you hav ea Blu-Ray Drive you can pop the Disc in and get a folder to unzip - It didn't work in a typical DVD drive :P But what is also cool is you can go on an option to connect to a server on your PC via a link and Download all the tracks!

ff15downl.jpg

I wasn't expecting this, I thought it was just going to be a Blu-Ray I try out once and keep in my FF Collection, but it turned out to be quite the treat! Sorry for the excess I imagine many of you have already tried out these Blu-ray Soundtracks but it was a first for me and actually encourages me to look out for a few in the future :)
