The trailer also still features that recognizable GLaDOS voice, courtesy of voice actor Ellen McLain, though del Toro recently told the Toronto Sun that McLain’s voice won’t be processed in quite the same way in the final mix. (“The filter we’re using is slightly less GLaDOS,” he said. “Slightly. The one in the trailer I wanted to be full-on GLaDOS.”)


 It really appeals to the part of me that will probably never grow up. The part of me that just likes seeing massive robots and monsters smacking the shit out of each other, and other similar sorts of destructive entertainment. 

 In the old comics and cartoons these robots were based off, there would typically be a crew of about four or five. Maybe they thought that might be a bit too much for film.The makers thought the idea of the giant robots being piloted by a single person seemed too 'superhuman'. There's actually a featurette explaining that very question.
