Why it's called Pallet Town in Pokemon

I'm an idiot... After SO many years of playing Pokemon I JUST realized why it's called Pallet Town...










For those who are STILL confused. Pallet Town is a play on the word 'palette' as in Color Palette, whereas all the other towns are named after colors...
