Members of FFF, I need your honest opinion....

You don't consider me an annoying fanboy, right? I mean I can act really crazy about FFVII, but I don't want to annoy anyone. I hope that I don't ruin the game for anyone. I don't really brag about the game or anything unless provoked. I hope that I am not being overbearing about the game and ruining the game of foruming in general for anyone. I am not calling anyone out, I just want to know if anyone is offended, annoyed, or anything about some of the posts I have posted about FFVII in anyway. I feel as though some people are maybe annoyed by the way I talk about the game and I just need to know if I need to check myself.
 
No, you seem to just be a fan of FFVII in general. I wouldn't classify you as a rabid, die-hard, can't-speak-sense-to, have-a-shrine-to-aeris-in-your-closet type of fanboy. You have some rationality about the whole thing, I think.
 
Honestly, I've never seen you mention FFVII in the SB, and I don't frequent that forum, but I'm pretty sure I haven't seen your name pop up as much as others from a specific game. So if you are a hardcore fanboy, you're not doing a good job of it as far as I can see. :awesome: I mean, I see some people just completely gush about their favorite, and I honestly didn't know it was your favorite, let alone be a fanboy of it. Maybe this is something that happened last night in the SB and I'm unaware of it, but from what I see, you're not doing anything a typical FFVII fanboy would do, so I wouldn't worry about it man. :ryan:
 
Trust me you're not a crazy fanboy, have you seen some of the people on this forum? You're a fan, and no, you're not annoying anyone - I hope not anyway. Have fun :)
 
I've not noticed anything concerning about the way you act towards FF7.

I've not been annoyed with anything you say on the subject, and you are entitled to love the game to whatever extent you like (so long as this doesn't include basing your entire life on it).

I'm not sure what you are refering to here really. If you are concerned that posting a lot in the FF7 section is a sign that you are narrowminded and don't care for the other games, then that isn't necessarily the case. I hold that I love bits from all of the FF games, and don't hate any game strongly... Yet I spend most of my time in the FF section in the FF7 forum. This is partly because I'm more familiar with the game as I have played it the most, and also because a majority of the FF topics that are created here are to do with FF7 and the various spin-offs. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.

If you are worried that you are annoying people because you actually like the game... Then again, don't worry about that. I love the game myself, and I will try to defend my happy memories of the game from those that seek to label people who like FF7 as mindless fanboys who don't have a personality. That's not true at all as there is a lot to like in the game (even if it is overused), and I don't want to have to make myself hate it just because a lot of spin-offs have made it very popular and annoying to people. So don't think that liking FF7 = mindless, annoying fanboy. It's just not the case. Some people hold that it is, but it isn't. People have the right to like what they want, and they will decide this on their own. There are some very legitimate reasons for liking FF7, and not everyone who loves the game is lacking the ability to form their own opinions.

If you are worried about a certain way you act about FF7 then I am unsure. I've not seen a massive reaction from you over FF7 yet.. Or if I have I haven't noticed it as extreme enough to mark it as part of who you are, what you do, nor have I found you annoying or irritating. I've not noticed something in you out of the ordinary when comparing you to other people. If you are excited about it in your posts about the game then I can't see that as a problem. If you enjoy something, then that is great.

So I've certainly not been offended by you, irritated by you, annoyed at you over your opinions or attitude to FF7.
 
I think you're a fanboy. However, not one of the overbearing ones. You have enough fanboyism to make things interesting while clearly showing passion for it. It probably doesn't help much that I enjoy giving you a hard time regardless. :XD: If anything I could do the calming down. You're okay, despite the fact that I don't like your favorite game.

You're not overbearing in the slightest. Sure, we may not see eye to eye on FFVII, and it seriously doesn't help that I bash it on a daily basis, but you're pretty cool. :D

It's not like you're the, "FFVII iz teh gra8test game EVAR!!" fanboy. Those are what killed it for me. :mokken:

I don't think you're a hardcore type. I've seen you mention it sometimes, but (and I don't mean this offensively) you're nothing compared to the hardcore, "sephy rox, you're gay if you disagree", nonsense fans we see frequently.

Until you base your life on the game and calling everyone "gay" for disagreeing with you, I got nothing against you. :)
 
I haven't really seen you post about FFVII anywhere, except for here of course. However, the fact that you think that you MIGHT be a rabid fanboy proves that you aren't a rabid fanboy. After all, if the rabid fanboys realized they were rabid fanboys, then they would most likely stop being rabid fanboys.
 
Oh Sean - don't be silly. I have never gained the impression that you are ever an annoying FFVII fanboy at all. I don't see how you've been acting crazy either - and I really do believe that you haven't. I've been on other websites where the amount of rabid FFVII worship by the people there is truly staggering. But you are nothing like that - I assume that's what you mean though when you asked us this - you are sensible, but you are not annoying.

I have seen you express your enthusiasm for a FFVII remake in the news section - but I haven't frequented the FFVII section either. That is perfectly fine. You never brag about it. You simply put forward your reasoning and you discuss it. It doesn't mean you are a fanboy. There are moderate FFVII fans, and you're one of them. Your enthusiasm is never ridiculously over the top like some people I have seen elsewhere - e.g. "OMG!! BEST NEWS EVA!!" - kind of way.

So relax. No one has ever previously hinted at all that you've offended and irritated them. I certainly have never been, and I'm certain that I never will. ^_^
 
Not sure if I can really say anything 'cause I don't know you, but I've seen your posts around and I wouldn't class you as an annoying fan boy. You're just a final fantasy fan like everyone else is, even if you have your preferences in game.
Definitely not a fan boy.

In all honesty were all Fan- boys/girls in one way or another afterall we took the time to sign up and be part of a community dedicated to Final Fantasy.

However as far as being a rabid fan? No your not, in fact I dont think I've ever heard you speak of FF7 in the SB at all, nor have I see any other indication of die hard insanity either.

So dont worry your just fine XD
 
Well I don't know you personally but, I never got the impression that you were an annoying fanboy of VII. I've seen some post about VII (from you) and ofc you speak your mind on it. I mean at least your stay true to yourself when you say that your a fan of VII. It shows that your loyal and you have a great amount of passion for it. :D You haven't done or said anything to me that would make me classify you as an 'annoying VII fanboy' I mean, you could be a great guy for all I know=] and so, i'm not going to say that your annoying. ^_^. There deff is others that don't know how to tone it down and you deff (from what i've seen) haven't done anything wrong as to go over the line. So no. =]
 
I've seen you post alot on the forums, but mainly in the GFX section so I really can't say you're a major pain in the backside fanboy that you think you are, you're like most of us, you love the game, but nothings been said to annoy me that's for sure :)

Anyway you're cool methinks :awesome:
