All fans of the FF series know that one of the strongest qualities it has is it's replay value. There are obviously many other things, but you know a game is special when you want to complete it again and again.
So, my question to you is: What makes you want to play FFVIII over and over? Is it the plot? The characters? Moomba's? It could be anything.
Personally, I get sucked back in by the music. Whenever I hear it outside of the game it makes me feel so nostalgic and happy. It keeps me completely engrossed from start to finish. I've literally been listening to the whole soundtrack on Youtube throughout the weekend!

The plot is what keeps the game interesting though. I find I get super bored sometimes on the 2-3 disks but I guess that's what the sidequests were for
. A good plot along with many things to find and explore is what keeps me comin back! :3
