What draws you to the game?

For me, 1 thing is like everyone says, the darker theme. I'm also looking forward to the gameplay: Kingdom Hearts with a little of first person shooter (or so i've heard). As well as the characters Noctis. Learning more about him as well as getting to use his kick-butt abilities.

Another thing on the darkness.......I don't think the game will be as eye-popping as FFXIII because I did feel the darker areas of FXIII like ma'habara were less nicer than places like gran pulse.........but still does looks good.

But the thing that drew me close to the game was the trailer........I just love it it's probably my most watched vid on youtube!

Sure it taes the piss not knowing anything about the game and SE not releasing much,but everything about it is amazing like the music,characters etc.........Hopefully this brings everyone back to the series!

But honestly I think this could be the a huge milestone for SE since X and VII..........

Let's just hope that!
 
Tetsuya Nomura and the trailer, Nomura is incredible Kingdom Hearts are my favourite serifs as a whole and now he's been given his own Final Fantasy rather than just design as usual. The trailer was incredible, some awesome scenes (when he breaks that dude's neck it's pretty ace), they wear motherfricking suits, and the orchestral music sounds unreal.
 
It's almost obvious that it's dark, mysterious nature is what draws most. It really draws me in. I also find that the fact it's based off reality but manages to be a final fantasy game is interesting. I think Noctis is very much like me in personality from what I've heard so far and I tend to like characters more when I have something inc ommon with them. I also find Stella interesting as well and to be honest the scene where she's got her back to the camera and the moon's above her and she's looking off to the side...:x3: it shows her quiet badassness...

I swear, I'm gonna love this game....I just have a feeling it's what I've been looking for in a videogame. Dark, yet enchanting...
 
Something I can possibly learn from. Over time I learned that Final Fantasy always seems to give me some lesson to be learned out of life or otherwise. But....I'm a big fan of RPG's and such like so...So RPG's are a big attraction to me.
 
I just want to be inspired again.........do you know how long I have waited for FF game to do that? Since FFVIII........10 fecking years! Even FFX is approaching its 10 years anniversary 10 with out a decent release is just too much sure there is the Compilation of FFVII and Dissidia, but they are not the main series releases.

The dark nature of FFXIII Versus is very appealing, also the motivation of Noct.........guarding the last remaining Crystal and protecting his "kingdom"
or city.....its just a great idea and lends to all sorts of story devices.

I think its fair to say through all of the ups and down regarding Main FF release titles in the last 5 years, the stories have been.........decent to Epic, its just the Gameplay and characters choices S-E made that leave you wondering........WTF!?
 
I'm also loving the dark themes in the game. I'm looking forward to a final fantasy game that can be darkly beautiful rather than over the top, with bright pop rocks colors and a completely over the top unbelievable story line. Noctis guarding his crystal sounds like a very believable story to follow along with and the characters in Versus dress in REAL clothes...not crotch skirts, tribal beads, and pink hair :/

The personalities of the people in the game are believable as opposed to FFXIII. Noctis has a believable personality. If I were constantly having to defend whats mine, warring with other countries, and people constantly invading my turf I would be pretty cold and callous myself....he only has a few select people he's friends with and he's nervous about getting close with anyone else because he doesn't know who he can trust. He isn't like bubbly Vanille who although she has the mission of killing an entire planet, skips around the whole game hiding her darker side behind a layer of candy-coated ditziness.

Besides the believable plot of Versus, there is also the possibility of a romance not meant to be. It could end up in a Romeo and Juliet sort of way...and someone dies. Or the game could end tragically with a sense of unresolve...something more believable than the usual "I'm out to save the world and can succeed each and every time." theme that Final Fantasy has been pushing for awhile. :monster:​

I don't think this game would be as good as FFXIII in terms of graphics.........I did notice in darker areas of FFXIII like ma'habara and taejin's tower were not the most beautiful places amongst the world of FFXIII..........And versus well by the looks of it.........it'll be simaler.........but of course a different world a bit like Midgar in the city where Noctis was in the trailers.............Thos places may be good visually but I don't think as good as FFXIII............

Hopefully they have a really bright place to along with the dark theme..........somewhere snowy like oerba..........and a green open field like Gran Pulse.......

but along with those places I still wanna see the dark theme........
Hope the games not just played during the night lol.
 
Seeing the gothic-looking woman, I'm really hoping for a death theme similar to the one in X. The death theme in X creeped me out. I'm fine with Versus being more serious than XIII if it takes that turn.
 
I agree with the dark theme, it makes me want to play it alot more than something like Final Fantasy X. I think I also like it because it reminds a bit of Crisis Core which was a fantastic game. I wasn't especially tempted to play X-2 after X because it seemed a bit too good at the end. And the fact that there is alot more blood and violence rather than airships exploding also goes someway to makeing me want Versus.
 
I really like the dark aura and theme that surrounds this game. I've always been interested in tragedies, and this game looks likes it's going to have a sad ending too. Also, Noctis and the other characters really interest me too. I really can't wait to see how their story is going to be displayed in this game. :)
 
the story line has to pull me in ...i like a wide variety of emotions plots and twists and the music is a close second in all honest ffx sticks out in my mind one because of the plot and two just because of "to zanarkand" best peice ever
 
This game does not look like my type at all.
I liked the look of the very first trailer, but now it looks too realistic.
Of course i will still buy it and play it.
I hope this is all a good sign though because i was so drawn to XIII right up till the moment i played it.

I hope this is the other way round.

Agito looks better for me atm.

after all the rather mediocre media SE has brought us, I might check something out by them in a couple of years... but over the course of the past few years I've become very displeased with the method that they've chosen in development and marketing.

Quoted for truth! All pretty graphics and no substance, in my opinion.

The only thing that drew me in was the mark missions at the end of the game, which I found ass-backwards -
beat the game, then you can build your characters to their max potential.
Everything else bored me. The only motivation I had in finishing the game was the $60 I spent on it.
 
I think its how amazing the characters look and how well those cutscenes are!! it looks like its going to be a very action packed game! And I heard its actually going to be a real open world game but I dunno if thats just a rumor
 
The graphics, and Noctis looks very very interesting xD I´m curious about his story, his friends and what Stella has to do with it. Also the new more kingdom hearts like gameplay.
I can´t wait to see any more trailers or info, but no matter what, I´ll buy the game.
 
I don't know much about FFXIII versus but from what I have read the action will take place in a darker world than the previous Final Fantasy, which is very appealing. There will also be a world map and a controllable airship, and those two elements are a big plus.

I'm also really intrigued about the relation between Stella and Noctis. They are suppose to be enemies but maybe there will be a love story between the two. This is just a speculation and I hope we will get new infos soon!
