Does anyone besides me feel that they need to workout everyday to not feel small? If so place your max on the following lifts.

Bench-Press:
Squats:
Power-Clean:

My list would be:

Bench:210
Squats:275
Power-Clean:220

lbs. btw

I worked out when I played baseball in highschool. Once I graduated, I pretty much stopped with the lifting.

Didn't care about "feeling small." I did it so I could compete at a higher level in sports. Now that I don't play, I don't lift. I've tried to get back into it, but I have no motivation. Oh, well.

Oh, and I wouldn't recommend doing it everyday, dude. Lifting is actually more beneficial when you take a day off to allow your body to recuperate.

I did for a few months, but had to stop due to a small injury in my left wrist and left knee that I got while playing basketball.

And remember, the amount of weight surely helps but what truly develops your muscles is doing the exercises correctly. Besides, sometimes big muscles doesn't equal enormous strength. I've seen being dudes getting pawned by little dudes that you would believe were weaklings....

People do surprise us....

exactly, theres two types of muscle, i could go into it but no.
and you are right again, proper form is a lot better for you when lifting, tis why you rotate your arm when doing bicep curls etc

bench 80
squats 95
curls 25

(kgs btw)

Iv been going to the gym, altho not everyday, or even once a week :wacky: I just go when the fancy takes me

I swear some of that stuff looks like torture devices, I did some weight thingies that nearly killed my arms, I managed about 20 on like the second lightest weight and I ached for 2 days afterwards :monster:

Altho tbh, I don't want to look muscly coz those female bodybuilders just look ew o_O

Haha, I thought that was lbs at first. I got'cha.

That's around what I do. Most of my exercises focused on endurance rather than strength.

I love being lean too much to workout actively. My metabolism is really high, so I never gain weight or anything so I can just maintain the same body type without doing any work. I think working out isn't involving enough to occupy my mind, either... I have problems paying attention to things that are repetitive and montonous. >>;

That's a very good point. Lifting weights may be one of the most dull methods of exercise out there. The ONLY way I can do it is if I have music to listen to.

Even then, I'm usually bored. Going for a run is much better. Get some air...check out the scenery...

yes I agree proper form and an allocated day or possibly more of rest is so much more effective than going everyday. I could go into the muscle fibres fast and slow twitch but i dont think i will. Also going to the gym everyday can affect the results especially if you work the same muscle groups everyday you will hit, a very solid, wall or plateau as some may know them by and your muscles will not grow.

Bench- 60 kgs
squat- 85-ish kgs
free weight basic curls-16 kgs

I am only 15 so i believe these are good weights. They are all lifted with correct form.

Pm me if you want to talk about this kind of stuff =]

I can bench 115 lbs [52 kg] in 10 repetitions.

And I can leg-press 315 lbs [143 kg] 10 times.

I'm not too sure on the other stats, I try not to do too many exercises that hurt my back or put a lot of pressure on my knees.

Note: I love weight lifting, it's the best way to lose weight. I try to balance it out with cardio, but, I hate cardio, a lot. I like weight lifting because I always have someone to do it with, but not many people want to go swimming or running around here.

I never really max out, and im not much of one for squats either, thanks to knee and lower back problems. My workout regime usually consists of:

3x12 reps 65kg bench press
3x12 reps 80kg military presses
3x12 reps 20kg dumbell curls
3x12 reps 30kg french presses
3x12 reps 7.5kg front raises
3x25 reps 80kg shrugs
3x25 rep raised leg pushups (legs one an elevated surface, or maintaining balance against a wall (difficult, but worth it :P))

I usually split the exercises into two different days.

Really? Finding people to swim/run with is easy over here. I have to lift alone...since no one seems to be all that into it. Some friends might come over a few times, but they can't stick with a routine.

Makes the damn exercise even more boring. Maybe if the weights weren't in the basement. Claustrophobia!

For basketball I was usually in the weight room late in my high school years and then once college hit I used the gym at my work to bench, leg curl, shoulder press, and do lat-pulldowns.

I myself though am more of a Push-up and Sit-up guy. Every night before sleep I do 300 push-ups and 100 sit-ups. It's good for the physical fitness and getting stronger and all, but also tires you right out so you fall right asleep at night. Been doing that since 11th grade, so almost 5 years for me.
