I am starting this thread as i want to know if anyone (or if its just me lol), does the voiceovers in the games?
like when theres a speech bubble i always talk the character, i even have different accents and i really get into it LOL, i hope there are others that enjoy the whole voice over acting and that im not the only one hehe :whistle2:

P.S i do a mean graverly American voice for seifer in ff8 :P

I do the same thing :wacky: (moreso mentally) I just can't help it, it's one reason why Dissidia came as a shock that the voices were different to my interpretation of their voices xD

Ha ha ha. :D

I don't do this, but I can understand the temptation. I sometimes create different accents for them etc within my own head, but I never say it out loud and read the game as I am playing.

Though.. It is hard to stop myself attempting doing it for Barret.

I'd feel silly if I tried to do it for female characters or weird characters (Cait Sith, Ultros, Quina etc) despite how much I love them and would like to hear what they sound like.

It might just be because I'm not very confident about my voice in general, so using it to try and say the words of characters would make me feel silly if someone walked in on me, recorded me, and posted it up on youtube. My life would officially be over if that was ever to happen. :brooding:

haha awww, well my brother used to stand outside my bedroom door when i was younger and get all his friends to come and listen and id hear them making fun of me and id have to put him in the sharpshooter (bret hart from wwf's submission finisher) and embarass him in front of his mates :P
i loved it when ffx incorporated voice acting into the game but im pretty sure i did a better job even doing the mens voices :D

I do the same thing a bit too. I do it with voice acting and with songs from certain artists.

I guess it carries on from when I was younger, but I look to put different spins on characters. It is laughable, but I have a hard time sharing it =P. I just don't think it is up to par with other people who try to mimic one of my characters.

LOL yeah I used to do this with my sister for fun when I got FF8. Don't think I did it on my own though. :P I think most people picture how the characters would sound in their head.

Bret Hart is awesome. :monster:

I used to do this with my siblings and friends, especially if we were playing a multiplayer game. Everyone would pick a character and do their voice. It always turned out amusing.

I've never done it by myself but I do usually have ideas in my head about how each character should sound. Of course on the games with voice acting, they always sound vastly different than I expected which annoys me in the beginning.

i've been tempted to do it sometimes but i always stopped myself. its really fun tho. i did it sometimes in FFX where i will be saying the lines with the characters, its quite fun and i love saying it XD

I've done this a ton of times, especially when I played FF XII. I would change my accent and try to do an Ashe voice. It's so much fun.XDDD

Oh yes, I do this as well, but only when I'm alone in my room or something. I never do it when others are around...I start to just read as the 'narrator' instead of being 'in-character'. I never really found it awkward voice-acting as the character...I think for some people it just comes naturally because you get so into it that sometimes you're not even aware you're doing it.
