Vaan and Ashe... A sad love story???

I don't think any of the characters and FF12 had a potential for the relationship. There wasn't enough bonding between all of them, except maybe Basch and Ashe. That was more of a servant - Lady relationship, though.

Oh, and Balthier and Fran would make better sky pirate comrades than lovers. Thank you. :P
 
I've become a big Penelo/Larsa-shipper, myself.. they're so cute together. I don't really see Vaan with any of the female characters in the game, though.. maybe Basch, though. :inlove:

As for Ashe, I see her with Vossler before he died..;.; Poor Vossy...

And finally, Fran/Balthier FTW. XD
 
Meh. I didn't see any potential for relationships and I'm glad as it would've been cliche and lame IMO. Maybe Ashe can hook up with a Bangaa? The King of Dalmasca, a bangaa?!?! :wacky:

Fran and Balthier I saw more as a really really good friend relationship. The type that if they did indeed sleep together, Fran would take the ship and fly away leaving Balthier in his boxers in the middle of the Nam-Yensa :P
 
Vossler probably would not see himself as a sexual partner/lover/whatever for Ashe. He's always been that in guardian sort of role.
 
I always thought Basch and Ashe would be good together, they're on the same level of maturity. I don't see Vaan to be Ashe's type at all. I see Panelo and Vaan working alright.

I don't think they would ahe made a good love story if one had been present. I was going to make the arguement that Vaan seems way to young to have a love interest in this game, but then I had to remember that he was basically the same age as Tidus was in FFX and yet he was perfectly suitable for tender-loving-care for Yuna.

The main difference I notice in Vaan is not so much immaturity, but his lack of regard for relationships in an intimate way. I picture his as just the kid who has a crush on a good looking girl and he just writes her name in his notebook all day. He's the guy who still dreams to do big things, but isn't quite to that part of his life where he can do it all on his own. Tidus I can see doing it all on his own, making sacrifices, etc. Vaan still needed to step back and let others play the main part and watch and learn as the more mature group played their roles.
 
One thing I truly love about this game: No overdone (or, even present!) romance crap being thrown around.

yesh, Penelo may have the hots for Vaan. But

1) She's a weak little twip and I don't like her.
2) I find it kinda hard to like anyone named after a skateboarding shoe. (could you BEGIN to imagine the smell???)

anyho, Vaan is too narrow minded to know what's going on anyways. All the dude wants is treasure. Good man.

and, I do believe it hard to accept Vaan and Ashe getting together. She's just a little old for him, don't ya think? I mean, he was 15 when she was all gettin' married and whatnot, I think she's out of his range. ;)

anywho, I love this game for not having any romance triangles. Way to go SE!!! :woot:
 
Perhaps. The two come to be good friends eventually, could go anywhere from there.

Ashe is definitely more likeable than Penelo.

i thought that panelo and larsa would be good for each other because they are both weaklings, were as i thought that Ashe and balthier would be romantically involved sumhow and quite often found myself shouting "Balthier you better tap that" at my playstation. Vaan, bach and Fran i saw growing old and wrinkly alone hehe.
 
i dont know after a image i saw i would not now
it had balthier grabbing ashes ass whilst fran drove the hover bike baltheir like behind her looked like a sick and wrong threesome
