This band started off accompanying animations created by Weebl (Electro Gypsy, etc) then they created an album (including the above song) which turned out to be surprisingly good.
I was about to say "What even happened to this band?" because the last time I looked them up they didn't seem to be doing anything new. But that has since changed and they have two new albums out! I'll have to look into them again in the coming days.
I like the song Android. It is probably a metaphor for cold, unfeeling relationships or people who can't form attachments, but I also like androids in fiction so I'm fine with any interpretation.
But this is an excellent song (a cover of BADBADNOTGOOD - Time Moves Slow feat. Sam Herring). Itreally does mean something once you’ve completed the story mode of Dreams. I really didn't expect the story mode to be so musical, but it was a delight.
All created using the tools of Dreams’ as well, so anybody could create something like that. And some people have!
In my opinion one of the most epic credits sequence scores of all time. It arrives at just the right time. Both exciting and philosophical and really helps you reflect on the themes of the film.
Vangelis is a genius for this sort of thing.
I fancy watching Blade Runner and its surprisingly brilliant sequel again in the nearish future.
so I used to listen to the unplugged version back during my emo phase middle school days and it made me cry lots BUT ANYWAY I listened to the original version for the first time yesterday and it's soooo good and sad and heartbreaking the screaming part in both versions gets me every time
The freedom, of falling,
A feeling I thought was set in stone.
It slips through, my fingers,
I'm trying hard to let go,
It comes and goes in waves,
It comes and goes in waves,
And carries us away.
