Elliot Smith- "Everything Means Nothing To Me"

I stumbled across Elliot Smith's music while listening to another artist I like on Youtube, and I have been listening to his music now almost nonstop for the past three days. And it's absolutely enthralling :yay: This is one of my favorites, it's got a very pleasant, original melody, and meaningful lyrics full of interesting imagery. Very glad I finally gave him a listen, I'd heard his name before but had never known how good he was. At the same time though, it is also rather depressing, since he went through so much depression throughout his life while writing the songs and then was killed at such a young age. What an awful, horrible waste of an amazing person :sad3: I hope he's in a far better place now.

Chicane vs. Natasha Bedingfield - Bruised Water

I really adore this song. Now I do like the original, but what I like about this version of I Bruise Easily is the fact it's a lot faster and there seems to be a lot of tension surrounding it. Natasha's voice blending in with Chicane's style of music is an excellent choice indeed.

Peter Andre - Behind Closed Doors

I like the concept of this song, about how people are different behind closed doors as opposed to what you see them elsewhere. Peter Andre sounds quite good in this song as well. I love the electric guitar drumming in the background.

Morning Glory [Live] - Oasis
I got Time Flies delivered today. I already have all of their studio albums, so it seemed a bit of a waste at the time, but the live disc makes in entirely worth it. I'm truly gutted that I never did and probably never will get to see Oasis live.
 
Beyonce - Halo

A beautiful, soft song. Definitely one of my top five from her. I like how this isn't a song that's too serious since some of hers can be at times. I love the relaxed tone and yet her voice is still so empowering. It's a really good combination.

Kelly Rowland Feat. David Guetta - Commander

The best song she's ever done. Period. It's got #1 hit written all over it. She really does sound like she's commanding you to dance in the song. It's a very upbeat and catchy song. Kelly Rowland and David Guetta should work together more often.

This song... (Drools) I think I like it even more than I like the song Saturday by this band. The guitar in the beginning, (well actually throughout the whole song) is amazing. I love the little spastic sounds it has. :lew: I specially like a certain line in the versus, it's just so GREAT sounding.

'Beeeeest toooooo impreeeeeess. You win.' It sounds great, I think it's lyrically great, and with the music, it just sounds so awesome. I'm always screaming along with that line. I can't help it. :lew:

Whatever - Oasis
Got a massive addiction to this song now. It was never on an album, so it goes pretty much unnoticed by most people, and I'd forgotten they ever did until I got Time Flies. I/d rank it highly as one of their best. Really uplifting.
 
The Starting Line - Island

Just a great summery love song. I always wanted to just escape to an island and just forget all about the bad in the world.

Everytime I listen to this song happiness rushes through me. It's just a great song. His voice is very unique and so cool sounding.
 
D'You Know What I Mean? - Oasis
Currently watching the videos DVD that came with Time Flies. It's strange that as their music went downhill, their videos got so much better. I'm not a fan of the arty-farty contemporary things they did in the likes of Live Forever, or the faked live stuff from Some Might Say. Still though, this is an excellent song with a capturing drum beat going right through it.
 
Let it Die - Ozzy Osbourne

I'ts the first track of his new album which...I think is actually a step up from Black Rain. It felt like he kinda slumped a bit after No More Tears in terms of quality, and while Ozzmosis and Down to Earth had some decent stuff, Scream is a case where I think the overall album is a step back up.

Still a pity that he's down to one album before retirement though :(
 
Cake - Rock and Roll Lifestyle

Pretty catchy tune. Caught it on Sirius XM Radio on the Lithium Channel a few months back, I like it a lot.

It's also the first of the kind of music I've heard, it's pretty neat. Kind of like idk ska or something, but different. music that talks shit to people is awesome :monster:

Silverchair- "Ana's Song"

Great band, I love their sound :yay: This is one of my favorites by them--it's got tons of passion, a great melody, and I absolutely love the versatility in Daniel Johns's voice, he's amazing :x3: (Not to mention he looks reeeelly good in this video ;) ) I also had actually never known until recently that the song was written about Johns's past issues with anorexia. I think it's really bold for any artist to confront their most personal issues within a song that's going to be heard by millions of people, and I admire them even more for doing it than I would just for their songwriting talent alone. The video for this song even seems like it might metaphorically chronicle Johns's troubles, since he's seen in a wheelchair throughout parts of the video and eventually finds a way to get out of it once again. Anyway, 10/10 for awesomeness :awesome:
