Playstation Uncharted III: Drake's Deception Thread

Well I found some news on the beta. Like everything we need to know about it. Although I do not like IGN most of the time.. they sure a shell have a lot of info here. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/117/1171344p1.html

No Elena in beta makes me sad... :sad3:

We’ve gotten a lot of questions via our NaughtyDog.com blog comments, Facebook Wall posts and Twitter asking if there will be a Collector’s Edition of UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception when the game is released in November 2011. Today, we can reveal the answer as a very definite YES for our fans in North America!

As you can see in the image above, the Collector’s Edition comes with a functional Traveling Chest replica which stores all of the other aspects to our Collector’s Edition – exclusive Steelbook case for UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception, a full size replica of Drake’s belt buckle from UNCHARTED 3, a full size replica of Drake’s necklace which includes Sir Francis Drake’s ring, and exclusive statue of Nathan Drake from Sideshow Collectibles.

You’ll be able to pre-order the UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception Collector’s Edition from many retailers. Speaking of pre-orders… we’ve listened to a lot of your feedback about the pre-order bonuses from the UNCHARTED 2 release – mostly how many of you were bummed by not being able to get some in-game content without pre-ordering at multiple retailers or waiting for it to be added to the PSN Store over a year later. Because of that feedback, we’ve restructured how we provide pre-order content – nearly all of our retailer exclusive bonuses grant you early access to key multiplayer Weapon Mods, Boosters and Medal Kickbacks.

First up is early access to the Creepy Crawler Kickback, which is available now by pre-ordering at GameStop. The Creepy Crawler Kickback allows you, when you’ve scored the requisite number of Medals, to turn into a swarm of deadly creatures to overwhelm your opponents as long as you’ve got time left on the Kickback countdown timer.

By pre-ordering at Best Buy, you’ll unlock the Regeneration Booster early. The Regeneration Booster increases your healing rate in multiplayer, so that you can recover from your wounds and re-enter battle with full health sooner.

Pre-ordering at Amazon.com nabs you three pre-order bonuses – one Kickback and two Weapon Mods. The Carpet Bomb Kickback allows you to send out three grenades with a single throw to blanket your opponent – or take out a group of opponents – with multiple explosions. The Clip Size Mods for the Para- 9 and G-MAL increase the size of your bullet clip, allowing you to trade more shots with your opponent before you have to reload.

Over at Wal-Mart, you can get the Callout Weapon Mod, which allows you to equip your old friend, the AK-47, with a laser sight that enables your entire team to see the location of the opponent you are currently targeting.

If you don’t see your favorite retailer listed above, don’t fret – many other retailers who participate in our pre-order program will be offering a voucher code for an exclusive UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception PSN Avatar and PS3 XMB Theme.

Here is some more Uncharted III news.

Naughty Dog have revealed two game modes for Uncharted 3's multiplayer. The first being a co-op affair dubbed Adventure Mode while the other, Hunters Mode, is quite reminiscent of UC2's Plunder mode, pitting the good guys against pirates in a tug of war for the treasure.

It looks like the co-op mode has been expanded quite a bit. In fact, it looks like a proper story campaign complete with mini-bosses! As for Hunters Mode, players are tasked with dropping golden idol heads at preset locations while the other team tries to stop them.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is out November 1 exclusively on the PS3.

Enjoy the videos! Also co-op looks so fun now and this new hunters mode looks kick ass. :ryan:

Holy snap! I'm so happy I didn't decided to order Uncharted 2! This looks amazing! The graphics are so beautiful. :O

I want the Collector’s Edition. I wonder how much it'll cost. Probably 80+ moneyz, but it would be so worth it. I've sworn never to buy from Amazon again, so I will have to get it someplace else. Hopefully another will have it....

Ah... thanks for stealing my news. I was looking everywhere and I did not find it yet.. Anyway I am so excited to see Chloe is back! Chloe and Elena both in UC III. They look so gorgeous :ryan:. The demo was really cool, but the trailer was truly the best part. I really loved it. I really can not wait for this. No multiplayer was really shown. I guess that is why the beta is there.

Pre-ordered my game at Gamestop. Creepy crawlers here I come. (If I can score enough medals...)

Really glad to see Elena again. And yeah, Chloe too I suppose. I hope my Playstation Plus lasts enough for June 28. (It'll be available for us too, right? I've heard people mentioned it).

I have not activated my Playstation Plus yet. I shall soon. Yeah I am not sure if we can get the beta early. I heard we could by psn+ that was from the welcome back package, but I could be wrong. I am not sure Mits.

lol I will never pre order again..I pre ordered Black Ops from a dutch site but I got it 3 days AFTER release date WTF :rage:

I thought pre ordered will get you the game day one, but NO... :hmph:
So I will buy the game in the store day one.

I cant wait....this will be THE game of the year for me and well maybe The Last Guardian :ohoho:

EDIT:

shit Arkym City
Battlefield 3
MW3

LOL :griin:

I hope my Playstation Plus lasts enough for June 28. (It'll be available for us too, right? I've heard people mentioned it).
I'm unsure whether the PS Plus subscription for that would apply to those who got compensation. Regardless of that, it's generally released a short while later to everyone.

Anyway, I'm really gobsmacked with the trailer. It looks like this could top the first two games combined! It'll be great to get this game along with Assassin's Creed: Revelations in November. Now I've got the motivation to get on with UC2.

E3: On the edge with Uncharted 3′s single-player

It’s Sony’s big 2011 ticket for PS3, and what Alex Donaldson saw in LA yesterday left him stunned. Uncharted 3′s single-player impressions and interviews with its director and programmer.

uncharted3.jpg

“We’re always on the edge,” Uncharted 3 game director Justin Richmond tells me minutes after showing Drake narrowly escape death from falling from a huge cargo plane – though he’s talking about developer Naughty Dog, not the company’s intrepid adventurer and best-selling protagonist Nathan Drake.

Questioned on just how the studio seems to have managed the impossible and squeezed yet more power from Playstation 3, Richmond explains the evolution of the visual flair and look of the Uncharted series at Naughty Dog is simply about trying as hard as possible.

“For what we had available at that time, we’d pushed it all we could,” he says of Uncharted 1 and 2. “Yet, every game, we’re trying to find extra power and performance improvements and optimizing to get more on-screen, make it look better, refine it.”

Refined it is. Before sitting down to chat to Justin I’d been treated to the visual and audio feast that was a special E3 2011 closed-doors demo of Uncharted 3’s single player, and I left largely astonished by just how bloody awesome-looking some of the stuff Naughty Dog has lined up appears to be.

The demo saw Drake and returning companion Elena assaulting an airport in an attempt to board a large cargo plane. Details of why this is happening were kept under wraps, but at the entrance to the compound Drake tricks Elena to let him go it alone.

“It’s a million to one chance,” he says – and he doesn’t want to risk losing her.

With Elena reluctantly agreeing and heading off to a jeep to drive away, Drake climbs up and over into the compound and we’re treated to views of the impressive skyline off in the distance. A somewhat rare sight in Uncharted, it’s a huge, sprawling modern city that seems to go for miles, the night sky ablaze with the light from skyscrapers.

Of course, it’s not long before Drake’s spotted, and searchlights glare down on him and the desperate shooting and running begins. I’m deliberately talking a lot about light here – that’s because it’s a key improvement over previous games.

I see the light

Lead programmer Travis McIntosh was on-hand to explain exactly how the team has tweaked the lighting systems this time around.

“We’ve done a lot of lighting changes – post-processing tweaked to improve it, but we’ve also tried to design around the lighting. The cruise ship level, for instance, is designed specifically to show off the lighting.”

While we weren’t looking at the cruise ship – that was instead demoed live in Sony’s press conference – it was easy to see where that design philosophy was coming into play. Searchlights scan the darkened airport in search of Drake once enemies are aware of his presence, and it’s another thick layer of atmosphere onto the already heavy, movie-like qualities of the game.

While the shooting and combat looks similar to Uncharted 2, there are a few tweaks and changes here and there. At one point, Drake performed a flying takedown, jumping from above and landing on an enemy with a brutal melee attack that kind of reminded me of rooftop kills from Assassin’s Creed. A silenced weapon was also used to try to take enemies out without drawing attention to Drake – a first for the series.

Being even a little stealthy, this demo was light on the shooting. Travis explained to us a little of what’s changed with those mechanics as well.

“Last game when you shot, bullets could come out of your gun at a slight angle – that was kind of the way we implemented accuracy – but in this game we’ve made bullets always come out straight but we put camera shake on to change accuracy. We think that’s an improvement.

“It means now you’ll always know when you’re about to get a headshot – if the reticule is over someone’s head they’re done, whereas in the last game – maybe it’d hit, but sometimes it wouldn’t – it could diverge even if the reticule was there.”

That’s not the only area that’s been improved. There’s quite a bit of fast-paced climbing in the demo we were shown, as it’s a race against the clock to get to the cargo plane before it takes off. Rather than traversal, the game’s movement is closer to parkour, Drake scrambling quickly across rooftops in an attempt to reach the plane in time. That, too, is another area of the game that looks the same but has been significantly improved by the team.

“We’ve made a lot more improvements to the traversal elements – we’re using it in places where we couldn’t before,” Travis tells us, acting out some climbing animatedly with his hands. In the demo, Drake then reaches the plane. He climbs the landing gear, the gigantic slick-looking wheel inches from his body, and then the plane takes off, the gear moving to take him inside.

Inside the plane there’s claustrophobic air vents that Drake has to crawl through, ominously lit with deep red lighting – but then Drake finally makes it into the main hold. There’s a classic James Bond big-man to battle here – a Jaws or Oddjob, a hulk who’s seemingly impervious to Drake’s punches and kicks. He hurls Drake about the cargo hold like a rag doll, and, desperate, Drake opens the aircraft’s doors.

Jeeps, boxes, nets and more tumble from the back of the plane. So, nearly, does Drake. We didn’t see much past here, but this was the perfect chance for Travis to give us an example of how the tweaks to the traversal system work.

“For example, in the end of that airport demo you’re hanging on that net out of the back of the plane. We couldn’t have had you climb that net – we could only support vertical climbing. Now we can support any direction – even upside down – so now you can climb back into the plane.”

Everybody’s a game designer

The desire to do a sequence where Drake would climb into a plane mid-flight is how this entire level came about, Justin tells us.
“The cargo plane came up because one of the animators was actually doing a demo for himself and was working on some technology stuff – he thought it was cool, showed it to a designer, and we ended up mocking up this sequence. Seeing it, we were like, ‘Ah, we’ve got to do that.’”
That actually belies a lot of the design philosophy at Naughty Dog, he goes on to explain.

“That’s how it works – it’s really cool at Naughty Dog that it’s not just game designers – everybody is a game designer. A programmer or an artist can be, like, ‘This is cool!’ and we can get that stuff in the game.”
For a level that came out of a programmer’s private demo reel at first, everything we see looks fantastic. The demo ends with a scene glimpsed briefly in the E3 trailer, with Drake hanging on for dear life to the netting hanging out of the back of the cargo plane – a scene reminiscent for me to the James Bond movie The Living Daylights.
Asked about filmic influences, Justin believes it’s ingrained into Naughty Dog’s people more than anything else.

“We’re inspired by lots of movies – we’re moviephiles more than anything. We want to bring something original to it – we can do something Hollywood can’t do because you can play, you can experience it, but we’re obviously very inspired by film – I’m a film student myself.”
The team is quick to point out that even the cutscenes have been improved; with cinema sequences in-game now aided by the fact Naughty Dog has more time to work on them.

“We’ve refined those systems and that technology,” Justin explains, showing off the 3D E3 trailer which is packed with cutscene animation. “But we have our own sound studio now, which we never had last game – the mocap studio – so we have more access. We can record when we want and need to.”

Even Uncharted on Vita will have the same kind of quality, and Justin reveals that the actors will return for that game too.

“They’re using all the same actors there, too – we’re not involved but of course we feel very strongly about the franchise and are really looking forward to playing it – it looks like a great game.”

Story will play a larger role in the co-operative mode that’ll ship with Uncharted 3.

“It’s a totally separate story, but they’re all interconnected this time,” Justin tells us as a last-minute aside. “You’ve got to play them all to get the complete story there – it’s a very cool, separate experience.”

With the impressive-looking demo over, there’s really only one thing left to ask Justin as the lead designer – what he thinks of all the games out there beginning to ape the Uncharted cinematic experience, and if he’s feeling more pressure because of that.

“Even without that we feel a lot of pressure,” he laughs with a shrug, “We put a lot of pressure on ourselves, more than I think the external forces do. But it’s flattering.”

“We won a lot of awards, we were very popular with the last game – it’s totally expected that people are going to try and do what we do. It’s hugely flattering – I hope those guys pull it off. We make these games because we want to play them – I want other people to make games like this.”

There’s a laugh and a pause again, but he adds a caveat: “Right now, I think we still do it better than everybody else.”
Based on Uncharted 3′s E3 demo, it’s hard to argue.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception ships for PS3 on November 11.

Uncharted 3 to have LAN support for multiplayer

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will have LAN support at launch, and it’s all thanks to the PSN hack.

20110516uncharted3.png

According to a post over on Kotaku, Naughty Dog said it had to keep working on the multiplayer for Uncharted 3 while the service was down, so built in LAN support, which is also what players will be using when they get in on the multiplayer deal at Subway a full month before the core game launches.

LAN support will still be included when the game is released on November 1.

Update#1

Quick Shots: New screens of Uncharted 3 finally released

We’ve been wondering when we’d see some new screens for Uncharted 3 that didn’t feature multiplayer, and today, Sony has pleased us with a batch of shots from the main game.

Check out shots of Drake swimming, jumping, and looking bit haggard and stressed. There’s a nice close up of Cloe in there as well for the gents.

While the shots have indeed made today better, November 1 will be a far greater day, indeed.

Update#2

Uncharted 3‘s Hands-on Multiplayer at E3, Melee System Upgraded

Most would agree that Naughty Dog’s 2009 Game of the Year, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, was about as close to it gets to a game being flawless. Both singleplayer and multiplayer were unique experiences that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. But Naughty Dog are perfectionist, and “almost” just doesn’t cut it; now two years later, they’re back with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and a totally revamped multiplayer that features tons of brand new features and tweaks.

While I’ve been dying to play Uncharted 3, I didn’t spend too much time with it at E3 since the multiplayer beta is only a couple weeks away and I already had my hands full with so many other previews. What I did see with my limited time playing U3‘s multiplayer were a lot of little tweaks like new weapons, attachments on weapons, new gameplay modes, and weapon load-out options between spawns that made the game almost feel foreign to me.

Uncharted-3-Multiplayer.jpg

The biggest and most notable improvement I saw was to the melee combat system in multiplayer. Like I said earlier, Among Thieves was “almost” flawless, one major complaint I always had was how U2‘s singleplayer and co-op featured a dynamic and fun melee system that allowed players to smoothly perform melee executions when in-front of foes, but in multiplayer, those animations were nowhere to be found and replaced with an awkward melee animation that would force you to stop in your tracks and swipe at the air, ruining the flow of the game.

It seems like Naughty Dog have listened to their fans and updated the melee system for U3; right away when trying to melee someone, I was able to baseball slide into them and take them out. I didn’t have enough time to check out other melee animations, but I’m sure all the entertaining moves from U2‘s singleplayer/co-op and more have been added to Uncharted 3‘s multi.

Although fixing the melee combat system for Uncharted 3 would make it perfect in my mind, there was one other problem that I noticed while playing and watching others play. The aiming system. Uncharted 2‘s aiming was spot-on and one of the reasons I loved it so much. When watching others demo the game and the video below, I commented that the people playing must suck because they’re horrible at aiming. Turns out it wasn’t just them, for some reason the aiming in U3 feels a bit sluggish and not as accurate as U2‘s. Even when jacking the sensitivity up to the max, I had trouble quickly aiming and keeping my targeting reticle on foes. Hopefully the controls are still being tweaked and the aiming will improve during the beta that starts on June 28th.

Uncharted 3 - Behind Closed Doors E3 2011 Demo

roomthumb.JPG

Being a huge fan of the Uncharted franchise, I can't help but wonder what will be done differently to end the series with a bang and bring closure to the storyline. I had some hands-on time with the multiplayer and was invited do a special behind-closed-doors demo for Uncharted 3. Let's get this started.

The storyline of Uncharted and Uncharted 2 were just intense, even to the point that got me teary-eyed and left a lump in my husband's throat.

I got some hands-on with the Airstrip map, which can be seen in the video to the left. We started off in the cargo area of a plane. The back end, that has the ramp for loading and unloading, opens up to vehicles that are in pursuit of the plane. You can pick out the enemies that are riding in the vehicles by headshots, or just jump across the ramp of the plane and land on the vehicle itself and take them out close-range. I used a mixture of both, to take out my enemies. As I was jumping across from vehicle to vehicle, I would encounter areas where my enemies would accumulate in one, of course making it harder to take them all out, since I was rolling alone.

The map suddenly converted from the cargo plane, to, what seemed to be, a cargo area. I remember reading about the maps, when they were first announced, but I forgot that Naughty Dog mentioned this map changes, mid-way through. So this caught me by surprise. I liked the fact that it changed, because while it was extremely fun, it didn't get to be too much of the same thing. As I was playing the rest of the map, I encountered the various melee attacks that had been added to the game. I remember one guy tossing me over his shoulder, which resulted in my death. I found that rather odd because I died by something so minor. However, there were various attacks that allowed for a more dramatized effect.

I also watched on as fellow-8bitfix writer, Gusto, played next. The Naughty Dog fellows at the booth announced that they were going to throw something new into the mix and let them play a map that we had never-seen-before. In this map, there was about 5 or 7 treasures. The player had to run and grab a treasure and run it to the point, that resembled a big treasure chest, to place the treasure on it to make a score. This point would spawn in different places, when the player would spawn, or after a certain amount of time. So the best way to score, is to have your teammates spread out on the map. One strategy would be to have one guy keeping watch, while a couple roll together to get the treasure, to have that extra security, or have all go to the treasure to disorient the enemy in thinking that you all are scattered.

I love to take Uncharted 2 online and play the multiplayer with my friends. There have been some changes implemented on the multiplayer mode. The mode now features sprinting. No more tumbling around to get a spurt of speed at crucial times. Although the tumbling is still readily available, the sprint will allow for a quick dash to cover or even to get to certain objectives, such as the one that involved the treasures. The sprint can be obtained by pushing down on the right analog stick. Other than the sprint, the button layout will be what Uncharted 2 players are used to. The controls felt like they were more finely tuned from Uncharted 2. There was more of a tightness of the control of the character. The graphics are as gorgeous as ever, with brightly contrasting colors.

Character customization is another rave in the mutliplayer aspect of the game. Starting rifle, starting sidearm, character skins, weapon customizations and mods, accessories, shirts, pants, Boosters, and Kickbacks will offer a large variety of options available to the player to better customize their player. Paid Boosters are available for you to purchase and use throughout a map. Medal Kickbacks are available for use, once the player reaches the required amount of medals. An in-game reward system also offers up some items that you can get in treasure chests located throughout the maps. There is also a system that is implemented that allows the losing team to play catch up, or the winning team to boost themselves further ahead by using Power Plays. One other addition that I wanted to point out was the Overtime mode. This will kick in when the game is too close, when the match is coming in to a close and will allow the winning team to win by more than a point and give a little more time to settle the score (pun intended).

I then attended an invitation to a closed-demo, in which they took me in to a room that was decorated much like the cargo plane that I was just fighting in, in the Airstrip map. Our seats resembled crates with the Uncharted 3 logo across them. Photos can be seen in the thumbnails below.

They started off showing us the E3 trailer that was shown at the Sony conference and then they transitioned into the single-player demo. First off, let me explain that there is nothing like seeing the game in 3D. Sure you can see the trailers at home, but it is absolutely gorgeous in 3D. So, we were advised to put on our 3D glasses and it started with Drake running, with Elena by his side. He points out a jeep, as they get to a fence. Drake tells Elena to watch his back, as he jumps over the fence to get to a plane, and that he will hoist her up, once he's at the top. While she is watching out for him, he leaps completely over, leaving her stranded on the other side. Elena says, "Damn it! I knew you would try something like this!" Drake grabs her hands, that are clutching the gate of the fence. You can feel the emotional attachment between them-you know the attachment that we love to see between Drake and Elena. He explains to her that "this is a million-to-one shot" and that he doesn't want to risk both of them in this mission. The music intensifies for the dramatic intensity. Drake tells Elena to take the jeep and get out of there. With much resistance, Elena says, "You haven't got much time....GO!" She then lets Drake leave. She lets go of his hands and runs to the jeep.

As he runs to try to make it to the plane, he is spotted and quickly has several enemies surrounding him and his path to the plane. Drake then has to make his crazy leaps and jumps to buildings and over obstacles on rooftops, and even to ladders, while he is taking out the enemies in his way.

As he makes it to the runway strip and is running to a plane that was advised to take off, Drake refuses to give up and still runs to it, knowing that he cannot catch up. Then...there comes Elena driving in that jeep to get him to the wheels of the plane. Why I was surprised to see Elena pop out, is beyond me. I should have expected that she would not let him do this alone. It was extremely exciting to see her driving up and revved up the intensity a notch...or ten! She takes him up the wheel, which then lifts up into the plane, and she then drives off. Drake then has to fight the guys inside the plane and the cargo ramp drops and there are crates falling out, along with trucks- which was shown on the the clip that was included in the E3 trailer. You see Drake fall out of the plane, but is hanging on by cargo strap material and then the demo ends.

I had a chance to ask Josh Scherr, the Lead Cinematics Animator and Travis McIntosh, Lead Programmer, a few questions.

Tanya: How many multiplayer maps will be included in the game?
Josh Scherr: I'm not sure if we're ready to announce that, just yet.

Tanya: Do you have an estimate on how long the single-player mode will be?
Travis McIntosh & Josh Scherr: It will be equivalent to Uncharted 2. It will be about the same. It's hard to tell, until we get all the pieces into place, but it's going to be about the same as Uncharted 2.

Tanya: I know when Uncharted 2 was coming out, you guys talked about the train scene and how the team focused on bringing all of the surrounding elements to life, from the action of the fighting going on, to the movement of the water beside the train, and the rustling of the leaves as the train passed through. As far as the effects on Uncharted 3, I know you all talked about the fire is going to be more naturally damaging. What other points on the aesthetics do you want to bring to light on Uncharted 3?
Travis McIntosh: You saw the Cruise Ship Demo from the Sony press conference? [Yes, of course.] One of the things that we do, when we are starting a project, we try to think about what environments do we want to set it at, what are some cool new places for Drake to go? We've done jungle and we've done snow and everything, so sand seemed like a logical next step. So there's a lot of work being done on that. One of the ideas we had was to have Drake out at sea on a cruise ship, so all the water associates with that too.

So that was kind of like the train 2.0. So it was Drake on the train moving through an environment, this one is the environment moving. The entire level is set on the water and the water is proceedural, it's not animated, it's not fake.

Tanya: That's one thing I always look at on games, is water and fire. Those are the two things I always look at.
Travis McIntosh: Yeah! So the ocean is always moving. We move like 50 meters up and down, while he's on the cruise ship-constantly. And even when you go inside, there is all this rocking inside and that is completely still moving on the water, even if you can't see it.

I was once worried how Uncharted 3 will transcend its predecessors. When the game's main antagonist, Katherine Marlowe, was introduced, I thought how interesting it would be if she was somehow connected to someone who Drake cares about most...Elena. The game is going to be called "Drake's Deception", after all. How intense would it be if Katherine was actually Elena's mother?! The different last name's could be explained away easily... the mother remarried, Elena was adopted... I mean the possibilities are endless.

After watching the demo behind-closed-doors, I am quite confident that Naughty Dog will prevail in bringing the story to a close, the final chapter of this series that releases on 11/1/11. At the same time, it will be sad to see it end.

Uncharted 3 demo: Check out 8 minutes of gamecom direct feed footage

A direct feed video of the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception gameplay demo at gamescom has been released by Sony. It hits around the 8 minute mark, and can be viewed below, courtesy of Ve3tro. Uncharted 3 is out on November 1, just in case you forgot. Surely, you didn’t though. Thanks, Reece.

That demo was pretty cool. I really like the fight on the Plane with that big guy. Just need to see what happens to Drake next. Elena assists him in the jeep, but at the same time it looks like something bad will happen to her. Elena looks like she is just trying so hard to help Drake as usual. I just see a twist in the game sometime... but I am just foreshadowing so who knows. :hmmm:

Here is part II of the Ground and Sky Demo :monster:

Uncharted 3 footage continues sky battle Drake survives all sorts of chaos.

That direct-feed Uncharted 3 gameplay from Gamescom… there’s more to it. Sony released a part two to the video today, continuing Drake’s struggle as he climbs aboard the aircraft he was hanging on to by only a string (or something like that).
Watch the video below.

Apologize for the double post

You have no idea how I am yearning for this game :ohoho:
This is the most wanted game for me for this year...

Also there is a funny video where Drake's VA opens the collectors edition of UC3. You'll get a belt buckle and a ring/necklace... very funny to see him xD but not necessarily amazing that you're going to buy it.. xD

I cant wait.... bring it on :rage:

thx for the vid Adri..

EG Expo: Naughty Dog shows UC3 – Read what happened

During our final session of the day at Eurogamer Expo, Naughty Dog hosted a developer session on Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

uncharted3.jpg

Richard Lemarchand from the studio and Nathan Drake himself, Nolan North, were hosting the session which started off with a showing of the fabulous trailer from E3.
Lemarchand mentioned that as of today, Uncharted 3 has been in the works for two years since shipping Uncharted 2. He then slipped into chatting about the motion capture specifications, and reiterated it was Naughty Dog’s first experience with the tech.
Uncharted 3′s story was touched upon, where Drake and company are on the quest for Oobar, the Atlantis of the sands. All the demos shown for the game so far were gone over, specifically the Cruise Ship demo from E3, which Nolan North provided some amusing mo-cap backstories for.
A behind the scenes look at the cut-scenes in the game was shown, and a new scene called “Finding the Well” was shown. In it, Drake, Elena and Sully stumble upon the entrance, which if you, recall, was shown at the end of the E3 demo. Sully and Elena apparently drink a shot in celebration, but Drake misses out due to there not being enough.
North started talking about the collaboration process between himself, Emily Rose (Elena) and Richard McGonigle (Sully) before a behind the scenes video of the cutscene was shown.
Uncharted 3 is out on November 1.
