Have you ever been in an extremely awkward situation where someone near you is doing something totally embarrassing and you just don't know where to put yourself?

For example, when we went to see Les Miserables with the school, cause we got tickets at the last minute, me and my friend were sat next to two old women, and during the emotional solo, one of them just burst into tears and began sobbing uncontrollably. It was totally awkward, me and my friend didn't know where to put ourselves and I swear, I could have broke a rib from holding in my laughter. It was so horribly awkward >_>

yeah... many times.. my mates are all big kids, with big mouths, and big egos.. allwwaayyysss find myself like :O O.M.G... shut the f**k up dude *hides in hood*

I was walking through town with a couple of friends, and an entourage of little school children walked past, and for some reason Aiden said "oooh, kids!" in a very horrible way. =( That was both awkward and amusing.

There was something weird at my university today. It had to do with the guys from the drama institute. Two girls were cutting 44 pounds of onions while some opera played on the background. o_o And they were cleaning all the mess with... raw meat.

As I passed by I was like WTF, and when I decided to leave, I was still like that. That's why I respect drama. XD

One of my old friends did that all the time. She would say stuff like "Oh my God!! Who stinks?!" and we'd be stood next to old people or someone with a baby. She was very clever, but lacked common sense. Last thing she did when I was with her was with her sisters boyfriend. He had just got his pilots license and we were all chuffed for him. And she said "Oh, good thing you didnt burst into flames then!" Everyone was mega shocked and then I found out his mate had died the previous year in his plane and she knew!! Was horrible.

Yep, funny story but almost like you had to be there. We were sitting at the back row of our local Malco Theater while watching "I am Legend.", when the scene with Will Smith cooking the bacon. Will smith said something like "But that's my last piece of bacon" - and the hick behind us said .. "Heh Heh his last piece of bacon, I know how that is.. " - instantly I put my hands on my face, because this dude was loud.

Also when the part came up when the dog defends him against two infected dogs, he said " Run away Dog, Run away, uh oh he's going to die.. "

I was so damn embarassed to be sitting in front of him. I hate those situations.

I remember when i was getting the bus back from town i must have been about 13 or 14 at the time and there was this guy on the bus sitting opposite me and he has a bag with him he was muttering stuff to himself and pretending to pick things up from trhe floor and put them in his bag it was really wierd and akward.

I'm usually the embarrassing person, I'll deliberately draw attention to us and embarrass the hell out of my friend(s) like one time getting out of a life and telling my mate not to get me hot under the collar like that...she went bright red, I thought it was hilarious

The other day actually, we were in Tutor, this was 2 days before half term I believe. Anyway, our tutor had an operation and is not coming in for the rest of the year, so we got the substitute teacher for rest of the year. Completely nice lady, and she's one of them teachers thats more like a mate than a teacher if ya get me, like you can chat to them about what you do outside out fo school and shit.

Anyway, two days before the beginning of Easter half term, she was nice enough to bring in some creme eggs for us despite only knowing us for about a month, bless. Anyway, she told us she'll brb, and my mate sitting behind me ignored. Few minutes later, he shouted out "Aww! Give us one, miss! Me and my mate turned at him and head a right go at him. It was so cringe worthy and rude -__-

I can't think up a time that's happened but yes, I know exactly what you mean. It also feels like it makes you look like the idiot too. Hate that.

Yeah sort of. One of my friends has ADHD and we went on holiday together a few months back. He purposely never took his medicine with him so he was pretty much high as a kite the whole week. The thing was though was that he got really drunk really quick, which led to him being a total idiot. He would do stuff around the pool ( i wont indulge what) thinkin he was funny but it was really awfull to be around, i felt embarassed to be around him, not cool.

I go out of my way to make shit embarressing or akward for people. It's hilarious.

i.e. was watching a movie a few years ago, and the preview for 9/11 the film came on...I said in a loud voice on purpose, "What the fuck is this, I saw this shit on TV already...Re-drawwwwwwwwww."

A cinema full of talking people went silent.

It was full of awesome

Yeah, it's embarassing when someone nearby or someone you know does something rather awkward. When they are being embarassing, you feel embarassed yourself. You just want to go hide from the shame, or move to a different area.

Some guy I know likes to walk up to people he does not know and ask if he can have his picture taken with them. Then he hands his phone to one of his friends to take the pic.
Totally normal people too. Nobody special.

I often feel so embarrassed for other people that I feel embarrassed myself.

Some girl I know constantly dances to whatever the fuck is playing on her iPod on my bus, like, obviously starts freaking out and dancing. And it's really awkward, you see, because she looks like a dumbass. And I don't know what to do. I just try to ignore it by staring at the ground.

I have a workmate who is a lesbian and always feels the need to tell me about her little escapades in bed with her girlfriend. <_<

She knows I have a boyfriend and that I'm not in anyway inclined to sway away from being straight, but she thinks it's okay to tell me certain things.

Like once she was telling me how her girlfriend was pulling her underwear off with her teeth but couldn't get it all the way off.

I'm just like: '0_o Why are you telling me this.'

But I couldn't say anything really without hurting her feelings or whatever. >.<

It annoying that she always tells me that sort of stuff. She just loves to make sure everyone knows that she loves women.

I don't go around telling everyone what me and Steve do in the bedroom. It's private. :gonk:

But anyway, there were other people in the tea room at the time and they looked at me and her weird. It looked like I was actually talking about it with her. >.< It was embarressing.

I remember being at the World Expo in Hanover back in 2000 with my school. Me and a couple of my class mates were standing in line for one of the Pavillions and had been standing in line for nearly an hour (and probably had another one to go) when one of my class mates had to pee really badly.

Instead of leaving the qeue, he whipped out his "equipment" right there and then and started filling up a 1.5 liter Coca Cola bottle in front of everyone. When he was done, he "discretely" put it down on the ground and pretended as if nothing ever happened. You wouldn't believe the scowls people gave us after that.

During class 2 years ago, one of my friends just started hitting himself in the head during a test. Everyone looked up when they heard it and were just amazed at what they saw.

Well, there was a time a few years back... and my family and I went to my cousin Ericka's bday party and my dad was totally intoxicated and it was awful :ffs: I was like dad stfu already -__-. You know what the worst part of it was? When we were leaving he had the fucking nerve to talk back to the po po's I dun remember what exactly happened but he said something and its like 'Really dad? Really? Thats a cop ya know' ugh it was just embarrasing. my dad drinks like a fucking fish and is often wasted so everytime hes totally embarrasing and gets on my nerves. -__-. He also was so rude to all my boyfriends that I dated and I remember a while back I was going out with a guy named JD and gave him the 'talk' its was tooootally akward :ffs: at the time i was like just shoot me now >_< my dad is an old-fashion type guy when it comes to dating and hes just so over protective. I mean hes my dad and I understand but sometimes he pushes it.
