Ultimate Elementum

The Six Elements of Eternity. Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Light and Dark. Once they were revered as the building blocks for all creation until many thousands of years ago, when they were stripped from Earth by an unknown entity simply known as The Ultimate. As Common Knowledge turned to Legend and from then to Myth, all memory of the Six Elements were erased from history, regarded simply as a story to tell children.

In the Land of Lucarum, a war that has raged for centuries finally comes to a close with a final, bloody battle. Two warring Kingdoms, the Kingdom of Gallacar who believed they were the rightful owners of this once beautiful continent and the Kingdom of Cornithia who ruled justly and wisely for many millennia’s, fought their battles for dominance of the Land.

As Cornithia loses it’s final battles against the Gallacarians, the final Cornithian soldiers struggle to survive as the remaining Gallacarian soldiers sweep the field, killing all those who remain alive. This is where our story begins…

There are six main heroes, one for every element but here’s the catch. You don’t start off with the power of that element. If you opt for one of the Elemental characters, in your first post. You die. Not permanently of course (Damn that’d be a short RP if you did), but by dying, something will occur and you will be granted the powers of the element you’re aligned with. (During this stage I will be controlling all characters but only slightly and only for a short period when you’re granted your powers as we’ll all be gaining them at the same time.

Of course we won’t be able to control them completely at first etc. but throughout the story it’ll get easier and we’ll become more powerful.

Another note is that this is NOT a modern day RP, this is set in a parallel world in a sort of medieval-esque world. You also do NOT have to start off on the battlefield, in fact I heartily recommend you don’t so that only one is on the battlefield (likely to be my character) and that we’re all separated for a more adventurous RP.

A final note, you don’t have to be an elemental character if you don’t want to. You can easily be a regular joe who’s handy with a blade, spear etc. or you could even be a bad guy of your own choosing. The final enemy however, will be controlled by myself for fairness and will be revealed MUCH later into the RP. Below is the template for joining J

Here's the bio of the character I shall be using in this RP :)

Name: Markus Fairdale

Age: Seventeen

Gender: Male

Alignment: Good

Element: The Element of Fire

Physical Appearance: Markus is approximately five foot nine inches and weighs in at around one hundred to one hundred and ten kilos. He has spiky, reddish hair which comes down to the back of his neck and muddy brown eyes. He has an attractive face with no facial scars and his body bears no scars whatsoever, his face is well proportioned often causing people to give him childish nicknames. Preference in Clothing: Markus prefers light clothing, very rarely wearing armour unless the situation calls for it. He often likes to hide the bottom half of his face with his trademark red scarf and often wears dark bottoms, boots and vests. The only things he constantly wears is his red scarf and plain gauntlets.

Physical Abilities: Markus is quite strong but his main strength is that he’s very fast and agile, allowing him to attack and defend himself with speed and grace and he is able to move about in an agile fashion. Due to this, his preferred weapon is the simple blade.

Preferred Weapon ( And General Description of starting weapon): Markus’ most preferred weapon is that of the simple blade which he carries sideways on the bottom of his back in its sheathe. Just under three length in feet, it is a light and easily manoeuvrable weapon. It is a simple pointed blade and holds no special properties known to Markus, it is simply a blade he inherited from his Father. Personality: Markus is a self-reliant, intelligent but short-tempered man. He is a brilliant tactician however he is quite untrusting of other’s abilities unless he has seen them for himself by observing or even testing people himself. He doesn’t make friends easily because of his temper but the friends he does make he is incredibly protective of and will throw himself into even the most dangerous situations in order to save them if they’re in danger.

History: From a young age, Markus has been alone. His parents killed in a raid by the Gallacarians when he was just five years of age, he swore that he would get his revenge and crush them. Honing his skill with the blade his Father once wielded, he trained for years until he was old enough to join the Cornithian Army at sixteen years of age. For a year he fought in these battles, defeating as many as possible until the final battle came.

He fought his hardest but was struck and fell unconscious in the final hours of the battle… This is where his story begins.
 
Name: Mystro Kazima

Physical Appearance: Mystro stands 5 foot 9 inches tall. He wieghs in at 156 pounds with 17% body fat. His muscle mass is evenly distributed throughout his body, making him appear well balanced in physical streingth. He has medium lenght brown hair that is not tended to, making it appear ratty and messy. His eyes are blue, however have green rings in and around them. He has a few scars on his body, none above the shoulders or below the waist, however his pale skin makes them hard to notice. His face has the look of an insane one and a serial killer of the sorts. His nose is relatively large, however looks good on him.

Preference in Clothing: he wears a white silk shirt that hangs loose on his upper body however does not fall far below his waist. He wears khaki pants that are nice and loose, however not loose enough to be a grip for enemys. his shoes are black high-top canvas converse. He wears a pair of black leather gloves all the time. His neclace is made of simple string with beads made from stone on it and a wooden dragon figure on it.

Physical Abilities: He fights with a balance of everything, he is not brutally strong, nor is he a wimp. He cant throw fast un-avoidable punches, however he can be quite persistant in his combos. He doesnt kick much as his balance is not very good. He can endure much when in hand-to-hand combat, however once skin is broken, he feels the pain much worse than it really is.

Personality: He is a man of few words, as he only speaks when either spoken to, or when needed. Bot very many could call him a friend as his choice of when to converse often gives the wrong impression. He doesnt distance himself from anyone, he just seems to. This caused him to become a self-reliant loner. His temper is short with specific topics, however other topics will never anger him. When he loses his temper, it is not pretty and it is a sight to be feared.

History: His family was a normal family, a middle class with the mother father and 3 children. he was the youngest having 3 sisters. he always had a fascination with music, and it played a big role in his teenage life. at veary young ages he began to develope considerably evil thaughts of murder to some peopl that emotionally harm him. this was at about age 13. At age 14 he joined a group of people at close ages that would be traiined in fencing techniques and strategies. he stayed with them until age 19 and decided to split from them because he figured he was good enough already, he was the 2nd best in his class. He found his weapon at age 21. He obtained the weapon by slaying one who titled himself as the demon from the shadows. he had slain this man due to the fact of his bloodlust returning rather strong for an unknown reason. He figured the man had a name implying he was evil and deserving of death. ever since then he has not let his sword out of his sight. Most of his travels have been simply to satisfy his desire to kill, while once in a while testing his self control to see if he can refrain from killing an innocent. he didnt really have a goal when he set out to see the world other than that veary satisfaction of death he loves, especially when his victims scream. He hates that he is that way and has no idea why he is like that, but lives with it just fine, its the only way knows how to live.

Physical Appearance: Stands roughly 5"11 and weighs around 167 lbs. He has dark brown eyes and a fair complexion, his hair is fairly scruffy with a long, neat ponytail at the back which reaches to his waist. Preference in Clothing: As shown in the image, prefers a lightweight, neat and tidy officer's uniform but is adaptable to any lightweight to semi-heavy armours, as well as general clothing. As long as it's practical in combat he doesn't really have a problem with choosing clothing.

Physical Abilities: With his tall and semi-muscular build, David has a good level of speed and strength, allowing him to move with great agility while also being able to fend off the blows of the common footsoldier. His intelligence is at a mid-base though rises and falls depending on the level of his willpower.

Preferred Weapon (And general description of starting weapon): As shown in the above image, a double edged longsword made of steel. The blade is that of the common longsword with no decorations or alterations to make it unique.

Personality: A strongly independant man who always does his job. His social graces tend to slip, making him appear blunt or downright quiet. He has greattrust in his fighting ability and years of experience serving the Gallacarian Army. While not proud of the army itself, he greatly respects the friends he had there. A dark and mysterious man who speaks few words to those he doesn't deem necessary to know.

History: For most of the second half of his teenage years and up to this point David had served Gallacaria loyally as a Knight. His deeds, skills and favourability has moved him swiftly through the ranks of Gallacaria's Army. At a young age he was known throughout the armed forces and even among royalty as a sword prodigy with a quick wit and a keen eye for talent.

During his days in guard duty he met a man called Richard Hazelmere, the two men got along quickly and became good friend very quickly. However, both being ambitious and wanting to advance never really went home, and when they did not long enough to visit each other. During one of the many wars between Gallacaria and Cornithia, Richard was fatally wounded in battle and, being unable to survive, as a dying wish requested David watch over his sister Cassandra Hazelmere.

After these events, David quit the army to watch over Cassandra. Following her to wor, checking on her while she tended her bar and occasionally entering for a small drink. Whenever a fight broke out he would ensure she wasn't hurt or involved, even at risk to himself. One day however, a drunken and disorderly soldier tried to attack Cassandra, pushing him away he tried to punch David and when pushed away again the soldier fell back and hit his neck into a table, snapping it instantly. A man just entered at this time, shouting out 'Murder!' and, without a second thought ran to inform the guards. Taking Cassandra's arm he dashed from the bar as he tried to get them out of the city.

Updated the first post to include two bad guys who have powers.

For now, Squee has been given the position of Earth Elemental. However until the RP starts, people can still apply to have the Earth Elemental and whoever has the best bio in my opinion will be granted that position. If no others apply, Squee will be the Earth Elemental.
 
Hm. By putting reserved for all the slots save for Earth Elemental, I presume there are no available choices for me save for non-elemental characters, or the Earth Elemental?

Name: Turel

Age: Unknown

Evil; Gallacarean General

Element: Omni*

Physical Appearance: Demeaning in stature; Turel towers over even the more well-built of men, standing in at 8'2". His complexion is no less as monstrous as his build and height, showing apparent signs of greyed skin and blackened eyes. Turel, some have said, is visually comparable to a recently deceased corpse. Interestingly, his long hair appears as though it is a thick, dense mist near the ends which dissipates constantly, though when wearing his helm, this protrudes like a horse tail from near the top.

Preference in Clothing: Turel clads himself largely in uncommonly thick and sinister armour, leaving only his jaw and mouth visible (although sounds -when speaking- as if wearing a full helm regardless). Each plate of armour covering key areas of his body link together in perfect harmony, be they in movement or stationary; the folds magically adapt to match his needs of movement, allowing near-absolute freedom. The only restriction is that it is somewhat heavy, though is 'fitted' to his strongly athletic physique.
The colouration of his armour is mostly black with strong, deep purple etches around the main plates which appear more on the vicious spiky design on the pauldrons, greaves and gauntlets.

Physical Abilities:
Although he cannot be regarded as physically superior to some, his sheer height (and by extension: amount of muscle) allows him to accomplish almighty physical feats in combat. Being unable to access a font of agility, he compensates by utilising his body mass in powerful swings of weaponry/punches, allowing for a greater impact of force. This is coupled with his magical competency; creating microscopic explosions to bolster the force of his attacks, and empowering his blade to explode on contact with a surface.

Preferred Weapon:
'Zagoroth' - a weapon of mystic origin. An interesting fact is that the weapon itself is born from within the mind of the wielder, and can allow the individual to summon it in a multitude of shapes and forms - anywhere up to ten simultaneous summons. Among the variety available to him, Turel prefers the use of singular pole-arms, a zweihander and giant axes.

Personality: Contrary to the stereotype that large warriors are bumbling buffoons, Turel is strikingly articulate, vaguely poetic in speech, calm and cold in nature. Unlike his subordinates, Turel is more inclined to question first, behead later, and holds no qualms with performing such deeds himself. Interrogation could be considered a speciality... Or just a favourite.

Mmhm, they were reserved for the people who came to me over MSN who I talked to about the RP while making it. It's a world that hasn't got magic in it and the only reason the elementals do is because of something that'll happen in the first few posts :monster:

All others, bar the two bed guys with powers, are all normal human beings. However this doesn't mean you can't be great fighters with the blade or important people etc.

Hm? Okay then, I'll take part in this as well. If you don't mind, I'd like to give the role of an intelligent Cornithia General.

Do read it thoroughly.. I think there might be some information that may not be acceptable... Particularly the fact she is leader of a crew of ordinary citizens that survived the onslaught of Gallaca, planning to unite with the Cornithia military at the start of the role play.

And, I hope this character bio will suffice.

Physical Appearance:

Thought it might be best to link it instead of putting the image up here. Nevertheless, some minor details about the character's appearance, which may not be obvious in the image itself.

Height: 178cm Weight: 66kg
Her hair color and eye color are as shown, silver and red respectively. Her dressing depicted in the image is the clearest description of how you should imagine her to be in the role play. The weapon, as shown, is a rapier, with a relatively thin blade.

This equates to a light weight, which allows for swift strikes and slashes which Selvaria can unleash on the opponent strategically.

Preference in Clothing:
As shown in the picture linked above. Her preferred color is black. She wears a short cloak on her shoulders, rounded by golden colored fabric to indicate her position as General. This cloaks covers a blouse which ends with a skirt long enough to cover her thighs.

This skirt is cut on both sides of the legs to facilitate movement. She also wears a pair of trousers which is continuous with her heels. In order to hold her weapon with her, she wears a golden colored waist belt which can hold on to the scabbard of her rapier.

On a side note, all the materials used for the clothing are linen, which means general coolness and freshness in hot weather.

Physical Abilities:
Particularly adept with swordplay, she made a name for herself through her abilities with the rapier. Due to the lightweight and streamline nature of the weapon, maneuvering it about is easy and can be done with great agility. Coupled with her slim body line and agile movements, one can easily identify the reason why she would be known as the 'Silver Knight'.

However, despite her ability to move quickly and strike with swift, precise attacks, she does not have much strength. While she may be able to put up a battle with brute force momentarily, her energy will not last as long as an ordinary foot soldier. As such, she always fight cleverly planned fights- in which she plans the next move just as she delivers her move, ensuring minimized energy usage.

Preferred Weapon:
It's the rapier shown in the image attached above in Physical Appearance. The hilt is, like in the picture, curved to protect the hands when Selvaria wields the weapon. The blade of the rapier is undecorated, and plain. It is also more slender than normal rapiers, being just about 2.5cm in width, and 116cm in length.

However, despite it's general plainness, the emblem of the Crescent family is engraved in the edge of the hilt (Which Selvaria is shown to be resting her hands on in the picture). The emblem of the Crescent family is that of a Crescent moon. (Obviously?)

Personality:
In a word, laconic. The conversations with her usually yield terse responses that leaves people speechless. However, when she delivers orders, her speeches may be lengthy, and can be quite a far cry from her usual casual conversations- for a good reason.

It is during those speeches that she can rally up the morale tremendously and stir up the fighting spirit of her subordinates.

She also puts up a warm-hearted front for her own subordinates, so that they will feel obliged to be loyal to such a generous lady, even if she spoke little. Ironically, despite her attempt to make people love her, she does not trust them, not even her closest aide.

It will take a lot of effort before her trust is ultimately won over, and it usually comes with a lot of trials under her planning before she really trusts the person.

That said, she is also an intelligent person. A skilled tactician and politician by nature, she can be said to be 'born to do these'- which is why she is General of the Gallaca Resistance.

History:
Selvaria was originally born an ordinary girl to a normal family. However, as the war of the Gallaca and Cornithia began, her parents were drawn into it. It peaked when the city she lived in was raided upon by Gallaca forces, and her parents met their untimely end. By their final actions prior to their deaths, they successfully hide Selvaria away from the forces, allowing her to survive the massacre in the city.

Unfortunately for the girl, she had to witness the entire murder of her parents on top of the fact she had just been orphaned. Thankfully, a kind man happened to be passing by the ruined city, and coincidentally chanced upon Selvaria as she hid in her hiding spot- a shelf.

He kindly took the mentally shaken girl under his wing, and brought her to his home, where he raised her like his own blood daughter. This man was Victor Crescent, a rich man whose wife and children had died in the war as well. He had just been fleeing his previous hometown, escaping the Gallaca Forces. Selvaria was extremely lucky that Victor had chosen to pass by her home, or she may starve to death in the shelf, having been too shocked to do anything else.

Nevertheless, she was young then, at around the age of 14. Victor Crescent brought her to his vacation home in the capital of Cornithia, where he sheltered her for 6 years. In this six years, he taught her all that he could- fencing and trading. He also provided books which she read, allowing her to attain knowledge of military tactics, as well as some other general knowledge (Particularly the sciences).

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Her time with Victor has been pleasant, but the Gallaca decided to launch a strike against the city- capital of Cornithia.

The events of old repeated itself. Selvaria saw it, and knew it was happening all over again, but try as she might, she couldn't stop Victor from sacrificing himself to save her life. With his last dying breath, he ordered her away, and held back a wave of Gallaca soldiers before they can attack her.

Selvaria did not let his death go in vain, escaping to a safe spot, she incidentally met with a group of other people who have escaped as well. There, she formed her ragtag crew against the Gallaca invaders.

By utilizing strategies she had learned from books, she successfully won small battles against Gallaca in the capital. However, battles of the scale at which she fought mean nothing to a great Kingdom. Nonetheless, it served as positive propaganda, as more survivors joined her forces.

The ragtag crew was now organized, with Selvaria at it's helm. She knows full well the fact that the group will not survive for long alone- they need to group up with another strong faction if they are to survive. Thus, she intends to join forces with the remaining forces of Cornithia.

The role play's genesis will see Selvaria make her attempt to unite with the remaining Cornithia forces, provided she can find an apparent leader- or lead them herself. Flames of hatred burns deep within this Leader, whose icy exterior will later craft out a name that the Gallaca forces will fear.

Made edits to first post, I've opened up the slots so now anyone can apply for the elemental positions. However final decisions will not take place on who they are until the RP is about to begin.

Also, Selveria, despite the lack of originality concerning your character I am reluctantly accepting it. Welcome to the RP :)

Since it's open, would it be possible for me to try applying for a second character? I'm positive about my ability to take on two characters in a single role play, so there's no need to worry about it- maybe, just about reading a little bit longer post.

.. But the question at hand: would you allow me to take on two characters? I'm fine with just handling one, if you mind.

Physical Appearance:
One glance at the girl, one is easily able to identify her origins in the orient. She is fair-skinned, with bright, wide, eyes that usually exudes an aura of innocent and naivety. Her well groomed eye brows adds further strength and definition to her already pretty face.

She is often seen leaving her shoulder-length, jet black hair untied, freely hanging behind her back. Her fringe is long as well, but only a few strands of hair actually intercept her vision.

Her ears have detached earlobes, but these features of hers are usually covered by her hair most of the time. Her nose is small and indistinct, providing her a youthfully feminine appearance. Her small, petite, cherry red lips adds the finishing touches to her face, which most have complimented her for.

Alicia stands at a height of 168cm, and weighs about 60kg. Her general body line is, in a word, slim- or at least, lean.

Preference in Clothing:
She enjoys wearing light clothing, which are not heavy on her. As such, she is often seen dressed in a silk sleeveless tunic, which covers over a sleeved, turtleneck shirt she wears within. (It can be seen in this image, just imagine a turtleneck there.. lol)

As further shown in the above image, the trousers she wear is a pair of black-colored, footless, lace trimmed leggings which are continued by a pair of soft suede boots which she wears on her feet- also black in color.

She usually carries her weapon around by hand, so there isn't anything on her to strap the weapon to herself.

Physical Abilities:
Alicia is rather light on her feet. She is able to perform back flips and forward flips with relative ease, and use them to her advantage in combat. To add on to this, her skills with her preferred weapon, the spear is top notch. By swinging it about swiftly, she can parry or strike as and when the situation calls for it.

However, she is susceptible to attacks if she miss a target in a strike, which is where her ability to flip aside comes into play. By making use of her uncanny ability to jump high easily, she could easily avoid most strikes at her, and deliver a dangerous strike the opponent from above.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of this attack, which is particularly dangerous to use against a prepared enemy, she rarely ever uses it unless desperate.

(That's a pseudo Lancer/Dragoon for you)

Preferred Weapon:
Spear. The spear is pretty unusual. Instead of the usual pole which ends with a sharpened head, her spear has got an extremely sharp knife attached to it during it's creation.

This translates to dangerous usage, as the user has a tendency to hurt herself in battle. However, this was, ironically, the reason why she has excellent skills with the spear. In order to prevent herself from getting hurt too often, she is very careful when using it.

The spear's shaft is 1.2 meters long. The blade end of the weapon is 0.4 meters long.

Personality:
Just like the wind, she is a free-spirited person who does whatever she likes as and when she sees fit. Straightforward and direct, she doesn't hesitate to blurt out her opinions of a person whenever she sees the person, especially one whom she dislikes- she'll definitely reveal her truest opinion of the person.

However, this also means she is very sincere in her treatment of others.

Her mood is changes as quick as the wind, too. At one point, she can be angry, and suddenly, she can suddenly be cheerful- though most of the time, she is cheerful. People usually regard her as the life of the group.

Yet, there are times where she is serious as well. It is during these times where she can reveal a stunningly beautiful side to herself. When she is serious, all the traces of her previous personality vanishes, and she will focus on whatever there is at hand until it is resolved before she returns back to her usual behavior.

Amusingly, these serious moods comes and goes like the wind as well.

History:
Born the heiress to the rich, and reputable, Seraphim family, her life was already mapped out from birth. She would grow to be a fine lady, then she would be engaged to the equally famous Crescent family, whose wealth and prestige, merged with the Seraphim's will propel the family to a higher level, possibly enough to achieve the elders' intent at reaching the level of aristocrats.

However, it didn't go as such. What they did not premeditate was the possibility that she may not be so subservient to her parent's whims. Unfortunately for her parents, it was totally unlike what they were expecting. Instead of an obedient daughter, they had a rebellious one that would gladly infuriate them whenever she feels like it.

Yet, Alicia was clever, pretending to be obedient in front of her parents, and rushing off to do whatever she liked when they were away on business trips. The servants in charge of her are always distressed and pressured into keeping this a secret, so her parents never knew about her ways while they were away. As such, she spent the time learning how to use the spear during this time.

Archery was another skill she picked up, as with other physical sports. Amusingly, she didn't escape from etiquette classes her parents organized, bothering to even stay and learn it fully- though she does it sometime, but so occasionally that the teachers never suspected that she absented herself on purpose.

Sadly, the war had to happen. Thus, the Crescent family's only heir was killed in the process, and her engagement was called off subsequently. Alicia hadn't been bothering about the boy she had been engaged to, so it didn't affect her much. Only the news of war did- she was interested to put her in her effort as a Cornithia into defending the country.

She promptly discussed the idea of going to the Capital to join the army. Her parents could obviously not accept this notion. Hence, forced her own desperate intent to go, she selfishly left behind a simple letter and went to the Capital. Her arrival there was just in time for a Gallacarean attack.

So, she was instantly immersed in battle, which she did with pleasure. The story begins as she finally loses most of her energy in the fight.

Physical Appearance: Minus the ears.

Kyrie is small in stature and build, standing 5'3" and weighing 110 pounds. She has medium-length, slightly dark blonde hair, and rich brown eyes. She has a round, young-looking face, that carries an air of innocence about it. People generally mistake her for being younger than she actually is. The only significant physical feature are two silver scars running laterally across the tops of her feet, visible because of the stylized sandals she wears.

Preference in Clothing: Light, soft, supple leather, allowing for ease of movement while making no sound audible to the human ear. As depicted in the image, she wears a white linen half-shirt underneath a leather halter with full sleeves. She sports a pair of dark leather gloves. Her belted leather breeches are accompanied by three pouches, in which she holds various items needed for her craft, including rope, adhesive, a few small incendiary devices of various use, and her throwing stars. Her feet are sandaled, the footwear being made of doeskin and cured leather. The tops of her feet are visible.

In cases of cold weather, she wears a fur-lined linen tunic and a pair of full doeskin boots.

Physical Abilities: Kyrie has virtually no brute strength, but has a surprisingly strong grip, derived from clinging to cracks and crevices in walls built both by nature and by man. She makes up for her lack of strength by being highly agile with a great amount of stamina. She tries to avoid direct conflict at nearly all costs. However, if cornered, she fights tenaciously, dodging and weaving to use her quickness to her advantage. She lands blows where she can, generally looking for a means to escape.

Being of the Haari clan, Kyrie is a windwalker. This ability is used rarely, often as a last resort, as the cost is great and can result in death. By performing a ritual known as the Form, which consists of a series of dance steps and sword slashes, Kyrie seeks an inner balance. Once found, she focuses on that balance and begins dancing and slashing ever faster, creating a whirlwind. At that point, Kyrie offers the Bloodprice, slashing the tops of her feet with her blades, signifying her disconnecting herself from the ground. She then walks on wind. The longer she walks, the greater the blood loss, the longer it takes for her to recover afterwards. If she walks for too long, she will lose her concentration and fall. Unable to control her descent, she may injure herself seriously, or even kill herself upon landing. The Form requires time and concentration to reach the focal point of balance. Both can be interrupted fairly easily at this point, as she is still young.

Preferred Weapon(s): Kyrie carries two blades, which she calls Windswords, scabbarded on each hip. One is a cutlass, the other is a scimitar. She also carries a dozen throwing stars in one of her pouches.

Personality: Kyrie is generally a calm, placid, composed young woman. She is not hesitant to speak her mind, and can be blunt much of the time, not being one to pull punches. She is not overly quick to become emotional in any manner, but will get there eventually if pushed. And once there, it has a tendency to take her quite a while to wind down. Kyrie is fiercely loyal to her Clan, and will become fiercely loyal to anyone she considers a friend. She is somewhat dismissive towards those she considers not worth her time, or those who are incorrect for whatever reason.

History: Born of the Haari, Kyrie spent the first 16 years of her life in the Aerie, the inassailable mountain dwelling carved out of the sheer cliff faces in the Indorin Mountains. Those 16 years were spent solely under the tutelage of the Masters, the elders of the Haari, who taught her the ways of stealth, agility, cunning, and most importantly, windwalking.

The Haari are rumored to be descended from birds of prey just as surely as they are descended from humans. While the young are left with the Masters, the adults leave the Aerie for the Hunt, roaming across the lands in search of provisions, treasure, and glory. Often outsiders, acknowledging their skill in battle, hire the Haari as mercenaries. But for the Haari, the thrill of the Hunt is the reward, not the earthly possessions they may receive.

Upon her 16th birthday, Kyrie was given her Task by the Masters. She undertook her Lone Flight, and went on a quest to bring something of value back to the Aerie. Kyrie does not discuss what happened during her Lone Flight. Upon her return - which is mysterious in and of itself, due to her appearing in the Aerie unconscious after a brilliant flash of pure white light - Kyrie bore the marks of having paid the Bloodprice, the twin scars on the tops of her feet. She also clutched in her hand a feather of the most virginal white that shimmered with a golden radiance when viewed at an angle. This feather was accepted as completion of the Task, and she was granted full status as a Hunter.

A short while later, Kyrie was stricken with a case of wanderlust; it was a rare thing among the Haari, but not completely unheard of. As such, the young Huntress was allowed to become a Scout, one who lived among the earthbound and reported back to the Masters periodically to warn them of any potential dangers to the Aerie, or potential treasures to found or glory to be won.

Thus, she wanders across Lucarum from village to village, town to town, and city to city, coming and going as she pleases and taking the odd job as a mercenary and/or stealing what she needs to make ends meet.

Valkyrur, I would prefer people only have one character to be quite honest with you. That's a really good profile but like I said, I won't be choosing until I start up the RP. Of course it's entirely your choice which one you want to keep but like I've said, I only reluctantly accepted your first one because of originality issues.
 
I understand, no worries about it. In fact, I don't mind dropping my first character if you have to 'reluctantly' accept it, to quote your words. If the second character is good enough for you, I'll gladly turn to it. Better yet if it's approved when the role play begins- I'll put aside the first character in favor of the second.

However, I suppose I won't know about this until the role play's started up. Furthermore, there apparently seems to be others interested in the role as well- CassinoChips for instance. I can only hope that mine makes the mark, but nevertheless, I'll use the first character only if the second is rejected.

John is 6'2" tall and weighs 210 lbs, mostly muscle. He has black hair and purple eyes. His young looks makes most people act as if he is a person who is about half his age. He has a strong physical build, which is due to intense training for a man his age.

Preference in Clothing: John prefers lightweight or medium armor. As depicted in the picture, he is seen wearing a blue chainmail shirt and pants, as well as pieces of armor protecting his chest , hips and lower legs. He sometimes wears a helmet, but not often. John also likes to wear capes, even though they serve no practical purpose on the battlefield other than for show.

Physical Abilities: John is formidable in combat, having high stamina and strength. As such, he is capable of launching strong strikes, mostly from out of defense, on an opponent. However, he is not fast and agile, thus leaving him prone to constant damage.

John's fighting style (Link here) is based on his physical Abilities, in which he uses strong, sweeping strokes, but at the cost of not being mobile in combat.

Personality:
A calm and collected knight, he believes in what's right for his country, and would always side with them right or wrong. Never one to speak about the wrongs of his country, it doesn't mean he disagrees with the wrongs his people had done in the past.

History:
John was born to a family of knights within the Kingdom of Cornithia. His father trained him in the art of swordsmanship and the code of knighthood and chivalry, while his brothers fought in the war against Gallacar.

At the age of 16, John was old enough to join the Cornithian Army and fought many pitched battles with his friends and family. However, as the war dragged on and many of his family were killed, he wept openly for his family and he promised himself and his family to win back the lands lost to the enemy.

Because of the fact that many experienced soldiers died fighting losing battles led to many of the kingdom's higher ups to promote John to the rank of Commandant.

As the story begins, he has just suffered a small defeat and withdraws from the battlefield with a few of his men. Looking to find another place to launch a counterattack.

Wow. There are certainly many applicants for the element of Air, and so little for the other elements. (I might turn to other elements instead to balance things up, only if my character is rejected for the element of Air first though. )

Physical Appearance: Cassandra wears her long dark hair in a braid, keeping it out of her way. She's of slightly above average height, standing at 5'6" and has a thin build. She doesn't consider herself a pretty girl, hiding her face with one of her hands most of the time. Some others would call her pretty or cute, but not beautiful. She's not hard to look at, but it's not hard to take your eyes off of her either.

Preference in Clothing: Cassandra isn't fussy about her clothing, wearing cast-offs that no longer fit her brother and sister or whatever she can find for little money. On a standard day, she wears a long olive colored tunic with dark brown leggings of sorts, and tall, nearly flat bottomed boots. The boots are scuffed and worn, but she refuses to get new ones. During cold weather, she adds a jacket borrowed from her oldest brother.

Physical Abilities: Cassandra is slight, thin and certainly not strong. She uses a weapon that doesn't rely on strength, but on aim and strategy. Her strength is laughable, considerably less than her 13-year-old brother's. Cassandra is a bit faster than your average speed, but by no means anything special in her running abilities. She could outrun a soldier weighed down by armor, or someone large and strong, but she's no match for most fighters.

Preferred Weapon (And general description of starting weapon): Cassandra fights with a bow, rather than getting into the middle of the fight. She keeps to the edges and uses arrows to injure her enemies, running away when she thinks she can't win. Her bow is a basic design, made out of yew by her older brother. She carries it with her nearly everywhere, yet she's not very good with it. Cassandra prefers to carry her bow in a lightweight harness on her back, along with plenty of arrows.

Personality: Cassandra is quiet and withdrawn, cringing away from physical contact and never speaking without good reason. She prefers to hide away in her own head, silently working out solutions to whatever problems she may have. Even those who are close to her have problems getting her out of her shell, she doesn't trust easily. However, after you have earned her trust, she'll trust you with her life. Betraying her is one of the only ways to truly anger her, resulting in an explosion of rage that may come to blows.

She won't stand for arrogance or people looking down on those she cares about.

History: Cassandra lives with her siblings, three brothers and a sister. Her mother died in childbirth, while having her younger brother. Cassandra has tried to help her younger brother and sister grow up as normally as possible, despite them not having a mother and their father being gone frequently. Cassandra's father was in the army, a lowly foot solider. Shortly after he was called upon to fight, a month at most, she received word that he went missing two weeks into the latest string of battles.

A year and a half later, her brother Richard Hazelmere left to follow in his father's footsteps, claiming that he would rather die for his kingdom that live under a cruel ruler. Despite Cassandra's best efforts, he left for the nearest army camp, leaving her to try and hold their small dysfunctional family, or what was left of it, together. Richard's death came as no surprise to Cassandra, as she had been preparing for it since the day he left. The leader of their village proclaimed Cassandra distraught with the grief of losing her father and brother in such a short time and sent her siblings to a woman with no children of her own. Cassandra herself refused to go to be "looked after" and chose to get a job instead.

Cassandra now works at the village tavern, living in a small room rented from the owner. She works more than she should, giving most of her money to the woman looking after her brother and sister. Cassandra has noticed a strange man hanging around outside of the tavern often, occasionally stopping in and asking for a drink. His order is always the same, and he leaves abruptly after finishing. One night, shortly before Cassandra's shift is over, a drunken solider rudely swings a fist at her for "getting his drink wrong." The odd man stands up, telling the solider to stop and pushing him away. The solider took a drunken swing at the man as well, earning him another shove backward. The solider hits a table, and with a sickening crack, Cassandra sees his neck snap. One of the regulars, a short man who was always kind to Cassandra, enters the tavern and upon seeing the solider on the ground, clearly dead, screams out "MURDER!" He runs, presumably to inform the guards. The strange man grabs Cassandra by the wrist, pulling her out of the bar and into the street.

On another note me and .Rinoa were thinking of having a brief 'power surge' after awakening prematurely to our powers (in the case .Rinoa gets the Earth power) so we both have a small access to our powers temporarily before it wipes us out. Would that be fine? It'll pretty much last 5 minutes, if that :wacky:
