[Trailer] Skyline

[Ohri-Jin]

After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherwordly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.

It makes me shudder just watching those people being sucked into that wierd machine thing like ants.

I don't understand why we need to see if anything exists outside planet Earth anyway. Seems like only bad things happen when we attempt to communicate with aliens in movies. XD

dude, that looks awesum, i love Alien movies, and this one looks cool.

I mean yes, we really should stop looking for Extraterrestrial life as Kandy suggested as bad things only happen when we try, as most Alien movies state.

but looks like a seriously cool ass film.

I saw this movie the other night and it was absolutely shithouse. The script and acting were dodgy. The storyline was pointless (ie it didn't really go anywhere). There wasn't even enough action or special effects to keep a 5 year old entertained. The ending was also bollocks and the climax

was so lame it made my mate and I laugh.

In my opinion the movie fails because A: it is not interesting or engaging enough to be taken seriously and B: it is not entertaining enough to be watched for mindless fun. All I can say is that if you do end up watching it, make sure you are in a good mood so you are able to make fun of it before you realize that you've wasted your money.

Well seeing how I absolutely loved District 9, and this movie seems to have the same or at least a very similar concept to it. so with that alone, I'll be seeing it in the next week or so. If not, then a few months I can wait for .

When I saw the preview I thought to myself "This is gonna be a crappy, plotless War of the Worlds ripoff" and apparently, I'm right, lol

I was quite excited to try and see this but this review has me doubting myself. Anyone have any praise at all?

It looks like it should have been a blockbuster but is it just more of a flop?
