Since first being shown at the 2006 E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles, gamers have been eagerly looking forward to Final Fantasy XIII. They have not been looking forward to the in-game bugs.

Add this interminable jumping bug to the list of bugs that, like the LSD bug, apparently slipped past Square Enix quality control.

In this newly found bug, characters can get stuck in what appears to be endlessly jumping flips. Boing boing forever! (Note: While this footage is shaky, it is certainly possible that it has been looped.)

Character Oerba Dia Vanille does not seem impressed!

However, do not view the discovery of any bugs in FFXIII as a bad thing! The game is out in Japan only the PS3, but won't get its multi-platform release in the West until this Spring. Meaning? Square Enix has extra time to iron out any such kinks hopefully.

Good things come to those who wait. Better things come to those who wait longer. For the rest of us, fingers crossed for downloadable patches.

Ummmm tbh I dont give of shit if there are bugs but ya they should fix that cause that will piss me off sometimes. Also XIII is so epic!! For all who take a negative side on the game: Play it first! Stop hating on it etc etc

I don't think anyone was hating on it in this article.

Just a side note... how can you say it's epic if you haven't played it yet? You're saying that they can't have an opinion because they haven't played it, but if you praise the game, you can?

I have played the demo and in my Opinion its epic... Btw that was just a side note to people who are going all negative over the game. Well they have their own opinions but I dont like people you know saying omg XIII is epic and then they read a stupid review and they immediately go negative on the poor thing. OMG Versus iS BETTEr ETc etc

Oh my, that wold be quite annoying to get caught in (although Lightening looks so purty and graceful xD)

I hope that might just be a specific spot and not just the general area Dx

Well, if they don't think they're going to like it, then they simply don't think they're going to like it. Personally, I believe this game is going to be a little average for my tastes, so I won't be buying it. It's just not a FF that I want to play. However, I don't think the game is going to suck, I'm just a disappointed in it is all.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion after all.

On the bug part, I thought it was pretty funny. Don't you wish people could jump like that in real life? That would be AWESOME!

I thought it was a bird or something at first, I only just realised it was Lightning :wacky: It is pretty amusing though, thankfully it's not a game breaking bug like ACII first had [before patched] that if you saved right at the end and turned off the console you were stuck and had to start the game again to finish it :gonk:

Oi, I remember this one bug in Ar Tonellico 2. The game would glitch up at the last battle making it to where after the enemy makes its move you couldn't go. The game was just stuck there, and you couldn't do anything about it unless you used codebreaker and made it to where the enemies couldn't attack. -__-

However, I don't think the guys over at Square-Enix would let a game breaking bug get by them. :mokken:

Who cares about a few bugs? The game still seems win, anyway. I just hope the bugs arent' that much impacting on the game and ruin the experience :thehell: That boing boing bug seems fun, to be honest :D

Actually, I was checking out Kotaku the other day and there was a vid of a bug with Sazh running around and a dragging affect or something occured:

Oh my o_O

That first one is funny. :lew: Lightning just keeps flipping and poor Vanille is just standing there going from her hands on her hips to her arms folded across her chest not looking amused. "....Are you done yet?" Or at least that's how it seems. xD

And the Sazh one, whooooooooooaaaaa @_@ that made me dizzy. I couldn't watch that long.

@Kandy, I don't remember Tidus glitching in FFX for me and trying to walk into a wall. When was that? :hmmm:

@ The Vanille one; That is pretty amusing, 8F Vanille don't look too amused though.

@ The Sazh one; Psychedelic 8D

But aye, the first glitch don't look too bad, if it was the character being controlled on the other hand, then yeah, it would be a different case (Preventing you from moving on). The second one though looks like it would just mess things right up.

Vanille's body language in the first glitch pretty much sums up what I want to say about the bug. It's funny at first to see Lightning jumping like an overly hyper grasshopper. But then it becomes rather irritating.

As for the Sazh one, I couldn't bear to watch it. It made me so dizzy just by working out who or what Sazh is supposed to be looking at.

Hopefully SE can iron these out before March. If not, pray the to fal'Cies that you won't bump into these bugs.

I'm pretty sure it was right at the start of the game when he was talking to those girls and those little boys before the first FMV of him playing Blitzball in Zanarkand.

It might have just been my game though, but everytime I started a new game he always did that at that particular point of the game.

I have to say these bugs seem pretty fake, however if these are real bugs, especially the 2nd one , then 2 words for ya - Holy Mamma............
