I have a question regarding Cloud and Tifa in Advent Children. I've been meaning to grab my own copy or at least see it but I never seem to have the time. So if anyone could give me a quick rundown on their relationship in it would be great and much appreciated.
Oh and if anyone could share a link to a good guide for the dating game, I'd be so grateful, I'm trying to get Tifa's date and I got Aerith again while replaying even though I totally favoured Tifa this time around. I know I can see it on youtube but it wouldn't be the same as playing it through myself. Thanks in advance

Their relationship in advent children is not very clear. Cloud has been away for a while and not answering calls but there are indications that they are in a relationship and running the bar together. I think you can choose to see it as them just being friends depending whether you like them together or not so it's deliberately left kinda vague.
As for getting Tifa on the date, I always get her. I don't use Aerith in the game at all in my party, at the beggining I tell her Tifa's my girlfriend, and any other options I always choose Tifa. I don't know how else to get her since I always do. I don't know what I'm doing right...

Oh that's probably why, I always use Aerith in battle cause she's a damn good mage *smacks forehead* I did all the pro Tifa choices like saying she's my gf and saying we gotta rescue Tifa at the don's but must have negated it by using her in battles. Well I'm an idiot.
I'll just use Red XIII or Yuffie instead.

See, Aerifa, this is how I see it (and explained to my friend one day whilst we discussed FF.)
1. Cloud has always had a crush on Tifa.
2. Cloud joined the army to become a hero just for her.
3. Cloud saves the world with Tifa at his side.
4. Cloud moves on and establishes a stable life with Tifa for almost 2 years and taking care of 2 children (before Geostigma screwed it up).
Conclusion: Cloud is totally tapping that.
Go back and watch Advent Children with this in mind. Now, all those tense moments between them instead make even more sense as sexual tension. I mean come on -- a young couple, hopelessly head-over-heels for each other.... and they haven't gotten skippy ever since Cloud left.
Frankly, I'm rather surprised Tifa didn't just tackle him once she woke up.
Also, there's a dating walkthrough at GameFaqs for FF7. It will tell you all the things you need to do to get the date with Aerith, Tifa, Yuffie, and Barret.
Check it out, it's very useful. Turns out, it doesn't matter how many times you take Aerith or Tifa with you in battle, it's a lot of other things that decide it as well.

About the scene under the Highwind. It's different if you get different scores and although they cut out the scene where they emerge from a chocobo stall, it's still pretty heavily implied that they did indeed do the deed
Mostly it's when they re-enter the ship at the end, if it's the friendly version Tifa gets a bit annoyed that they were eavesdropping and says 'you were listening?' But if it's the non-friendly version
she gets extremely embarrassed and says 'you were watching?' implying there was more to watch in that version than listen to.But then again, it's only really canon if you get that high a score with her
so for me it's real...but Square sort of made it that depending on which girl you wanted Cloud with, you could take either or as canon...As for the box...orthopaedic underwear

I've spent a large portion of my young adolescence looking at CloTi fanart on deviantArt && reading fanfiction. Unfortunately I don't have any works of my own... ;__;
My reasons for loving this pairing are undoubtedly similar to many of the members/fans who have posted in this thread. Simply said, Cloud && Tifa go so well together. They are childhood crushes who made a promise under a starry night sky && they were eventually able to find each other again many years later in life, as though it was destiny. :3 Need I say anymore?

♥ You must say a lot more! It's definitely their strong bond throughout their relationships, both as friends and lovers that made me support this couple from the very beginning. Even when I had no idea what the LTD was, when I was watching my mom play this game on the PS1... I grew attached to the both of them. ♥

It actually took me a lot to consider the reasons as to why I like the Cloti pairing, but I think I'm ready to explain why I support Cloti.

When I grew up playing FFVII, it seemed so natural to me that Cloud and Tifa were meant to be; they had shared a past, made a promise, and fought alongside each other to defeat the man who had left such a tragic scar on their childhood (Sephiroth, of course). They had supported each other even when they had no one else to be there for them. I think this fact is the most apparent towards the end of the game, right before descending into the caves to fight Sephiroth.
They shared a very intimate moment near the Highwind. Regardless of what actually transpired that night, one thing is for certain: They spent the night together and mutually enjoyed each other's company on a deep level. Personally, it did not seem to be a platonic slumber party that they were having!
Since the original game and onward into Advent Children, it's pretty obvious that Tifa still maintains strong feelings for Cloud. After all, she has always been there to support him, even when it may seem as though Cloud does not reciprocate those feelings. However, in his own way, Cloud has accepted Tifa's feelings. He can't be that dense, can he? xD
He has adopted Tifa, Marlene, and Denzel as his new, makeshift family. I consider Cloud and Tifa to be the surrogate parents of Marlene and Denzel because that is indeed what they have become. They even run a business together, which seems very "newlywed-ish" in my opinion. And although it has not been made official, I can definitely see the start of a romantic relationship between the two. :3

I love it! I really like the way you cleaned up the colors and the blue lights are perfect, subtle, but powerful -- a true signature of your handiwork, as always! *bows* I actually like the kids there in this one because it makes such a great family scene. It rather underscores the closeness of them and how Cloud isn't merely a FRIEND but truly a part of the FAMILY -- With Tifa included. It's such a simple and sweet image and it's relaxing from the usual Cloti stuff which is often very romantic to borderline erotic in some cases. Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind that (so long as it's tasteful) but this is definitely a change of pace. It's so calming and shows true romance without being erotic or 'in your face'. I love it. May I wear it?

Let's see...I love how you can tell that they love each other but have trouble expressing it. I find their story to be both tragic and beautiful, it's kind of a romeo and juliet type thing with Tifa's father hating Cloud so much. He admired her from a far for so long and when they got older he pretty much got the girl of his dreams.
The scenes in Advent Children Complete when Cloud found her injured in the church and he scooped her up in his arms, right after she says "He didn't say" look at Cloud's face, you can see the anger, guilt, and concern written on his face. His eyes are constantly shifting, looking over her to make sure she's all right. No matter how far apart they are, Cloud ALWAYS comes for her.
My favorite quotes by them have to be:
Tifa: Dilly Dally, Shilly Shally.

Ooooh, those pics are great! I faved most of them! *hugs* I added another chapter to the fanfic, where Cloud and Tifa have their first snowball fight. I wasn't totally happy with it, but the readers seemed to like it.
Guys, seriously though. If you have any ideas for that fanfic, PLEASE GIVE THEM TO ME. My ideas are coming slower now. D:
