The Nine Worlds

Perfect. Looking forward to the conflict. Feel fre to start Luna however.

You're reserved Shaun.

If any people joining would like to take a couple of gods, that would be great. Luna (The Ruler) is one, but any more could be helpful.

The Shadow Puppeteer.

Name: Raym Paulus

Age: ??? (Human Raym, deceased aged 45)

Race: Wraith (a being of pure shadow that feeds on the chaos within other lifeforms to sustain its physical form)

Appearance:
file.php

Gender: Male

Personality: Manipulative and decieving, Raym cares very little about those he works with nor does he care about those he fights against, Raym only seeks to forward his own goals of obtaining a body that can sustain his overpowering malice, as his previous attempts have often only sustained his form for a short while. Aging and withering rapidly as the energies of Chaos were far too much for the host body to contain, forcing him to leave the body lest becoming trapped in a decaying vessel for eternity.

Weapons: Staff of the Rift: A strange staff born entirely of Chaotic energy, the staff has no solid shape as it constantly twists and reshapes to its owners desires. It also has the innate property of staying with its owner weather the owner is possessing a host or in Wrath form, The staff glows with a strange hue of green when Raym has someone under his thrall, a sign that the staff has taken physicality making it possible to be destroyed with a well placed blow.

Abilities:
Mental dominance: Ushering a strange language often thought to have been forgotten in bygone years, Raym places an enemy under his Thrall, able to read there every thought and peer into there deepest darkest secrets, Through this mental connection, Rayne can control his victim with the power of suggestion, whispering ideas into there heads and masquerading as there conscience. As he delves deeper into there psyche a new secret can be discovered, and a further potential weapon to use against his enemies is added to his arsenal. To maintain mental dominance, Raym has to shift between the physical and etheral realms, exposing him to magic, most notibly Holy based magic.

Possession: As a creature born from the resistance to fully accept death, Raym can innatley possess the living, however to do so requires an enormous amount of concentration and energy and those with strong souls have been known to outright resist a Wraith's attempt at possession. Successful Posessions will allow Raym to take complete physical form, altering the possessed host's features to appear much more twisted and demonic. With this control Raym has every control over the helpless host and only a shock or the heavy decay of the host itself can force Raym to abandon them.

Wraith form (innate): Raym is a creature of pure malice and hatred born from a refusal to except death in his past life, due to this, Raym is doomed to wander between both the physical and etheral realm as a creature that feeds upon the chaos that resides in the souls of each and every creature, weather it be there deepest fears or there darkest secrets. Because of this Raym appears as a shadowy spectre that is almost entirely immune to physical contact, however those skilled in magic most notibly holy magic have been known to drive Wraiths away, and Raym is no stranger to this weakness. It is also said that some songs have been known to sooth the rage of the Wraith forcing it to back to the etheral plane of existence for a short time, weather there is truth in this legend has yet to be discovered.

Nightmare: Delving deep into the mind of his victims and focusing on there inner most fear, Raym causes the victim to hallucinate and there Deepest Darkest fear to materialise, This Creature born of fear will proceed to stalk and attack its victim using the upper hand of the victims fear as a weapon. Nightmares cannot be seen by the naked eye, but Seers can see them since they can see creatures of the plane of existence it has spawned from, as well as the victim themselves. Nightmares are semi-physical by nature and can be injured or even destroyed by magic and some forms of physical weaponry depending on the embodiment of the fear itself

History: In his human life, Raym was a renowned scholar and senator, well studied in the arts of the arcane as well as the various politics of the time. Known for being an excellent public speaker and being gifted with a silk tongue that could sway the hearts and minds of even the most stubborn of opposers. Raym met his grissly fate at the hands of the Destroyer, whom had sacked his city and slaughtered his entire family leaving Raym alive until the very last to watch. As the Destroyer laid his final blow unto Raym, his mind had sank into darkness and dispair staring blankly and coldly at the bloodied and butchered bodies of his family.

Because of the darkness that filled his mind as he fell, Raym refused to cross over and accept that he had truly died at the hands of the Destroyer, this twisted his mind and his views of everything, becoming brooding and selfish and arogant, transforming him into a being of pure Chaos and hatred.

After becoming a Wraith, Raym would spend some time traversing between both the Physical and Etheral plane, stalking the weak and strong alike, using them as his mere playthings often turning friend against friend in brutal combat and devouring the victors life essence to bolster his form, it was during his Posession of a Count that he came into contact with the Destroyer for a second time, however this time he relished at the "usefulness" of this potential ally and reverted to his Wraith form leaving a bloodied corpse behind as he crushed the host from within, bowing he offered his services to the Destroyer and asked for nothing in exchange.

The truth is however, Raym is waiting until the Ragnarok, when the strongest will emerge victorious, at that time he will finally have what he seeks most...to become whole once more.

Weaknesses: Wraiths have an innate weakness to magic, except dark magic which will reinvigor the wraith, Raym is extremely weak against holy based magics being a creature born of pure Chaos and malice, holy can easily force Raym into a hasty retreat into the etheral plane to regenerate.

The Assassin:

Name: Actual name: unknown Given name: The Wraith's Talon

Age: 18 (physically aged to 30)

Race: Half-Elf

Appearance:
ca080609.jpg

Gender Male

Personality: Ruthless, cold hearted and goal oriented, heavily sadisitic bordering Sado-masochistic.

Weapons: Wrist mounted blades usually coated in heart render toxin a highly lethal poison that works its way through the bloodstream forcing a heart attack, twin daggers coated in an extremely rare poison known as "Wraith's Kiss" this poison attacks the nervous system forcing the victim to spassam uncontrollably and become more open to the powers of suggestion (mind control)

Abilities:

Wraith's Shadow: The Wraith's Talon can become that of a shadow, vanishing from sight and moving almost completely undetected, those of keen sight such as Archers or with the gift of foresight such as seers can see through the Talon's ruse and coordinate others to the Talon's wereabouts.

Syphoning Blades: Striking quickly, The Wraith's Talon seems to use some form of old magic to attack the very soul of his victim, shreading parts of there lifeform to empower his next attack.

Cheapshot: Being an Assassin, the Wraith's Talon is well versed in the tricks of the trade, being no stranger to dirty fighting, the Talon cheapshots his opponent below the belt creating a brief opening as they attempt to recover from the blow.

Assassinate: For those foolish enough or completely unaware of the Talon's presence, a grissly fate awaits, Quickly stalking them from behind, the Talon readies his wicked wrist mounted blades and attempts to slash there throat and impale them in the back, taking pleasure in the unfortunate victims attempts to scream in vain.

History: Very little is known about the former life of the Wraith's Talon, and less still about him at present.

What is known is that he seems to share some kind of connection to the Wraith known as Raym and seems to be the Wraith's instrument of death.

The Skull mask he wears is said to have been given to him by the Wraith himself, and possesses unnatural properties from the etheral realm and acts as a conduit between himself and Raym.

Weaknesses: The Wraith's Talon is well renowned for his saddisticness during combat, and can often become enthralled in the moment, seemingly going into a euthoric state. In this euthoric state he can often make mistakes or be distracted long enough for an opponent to slip away from him.

The mask he wears hides the multiple scars upon his face from the punishment he has recieved from Raym for failing to finish a job, luckly for the Talon, this has only ever happened once but next time Raym has threatened the punishment will be far more unforgiving...

Love him, Shaun. I love how you gave him a connection to the Destroyer, and a potential weakness in the form of the Singer. Approved.

Cheers, with the Assassin I already plan to have him with an immediate connection to the Shadow Puppeteer, my opening post will have both characters together with the Puppeteer speaking telepathically to the Assassin, should be quite fun to play a more "behind the scenes" role xD

Oooh, I love the Assassin. A truly villainous character. Approved.

Okay finally got my first post up. x_x Taylana is an interesting character to get into the mindset of.

Aria's next post will be longer, I promise.

Hahaha destruction. :woo:

Destruction ish gewd :awesome:

Might go terrorise some more helpless civilians before saying hello to some fellow destroyers

I hope I was allowed to destroy the Statue of Liberty, because I just did that.

I had to do two parts with Alasdair this time as the pace picked up since my last post and I was in danger of finding out that the city had been destroyed and everyone had gone home for tea by the time Alasdair had even got anywhere. :D

I think Alasdair is now free to meet other characters now (as in other people's characters), but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing that.

It would seem that the Dark Puppeteer (Raym, controlled by Shaun) has just made contact with you, and set the stage for a little tension. Should be interesting

I think that someone had to destroy the Statue of Liberty eventually Argor. :awesome:

I'll get a post up in a bit.

taylana isn't going to be so easy to beat the crap out of, Kevin. -__-

Hahha nice Daniel. :8F:

I'll post again later on.

One quick question... How do I deal with other characters made by other people? I gather I'm not allowed to give them speech, so do I say my side of the conversation, and some actions to go with it, and then leave it open for reply?

Yeah, basically. To control them is god-modding and is generally frowned upon. Also, say you decide to punch a character played by someone else.

Alisdair aimed a punch at Anastasia, hitting her on the face and slamming her to the ground: God-modding.

Alisdair aimed a punch at Anastasia, hoping to hit her on the face and slam her to the ground: OK.

woooo Made a post! :awesome:

I'm really liking Taylana. I might have to turn her into an RPB character at this rate. XD I've had her in mind for ages, as my seven year old character's mother. :8F: Just never had the chance to flesh her out. :gonk:
