All right. Final Fantasy XIII is bullshit. the fact that is has taken this long to come out, is just plain stupid. A mega-company like Square could have made this come out by now. And it should have. The ONLY reason why it hasn't come out is simple. FFXIII is done and it is truly a cover up of the brand new 1080i HD Blu-ray disc PlayStation 3 exclusive, Final Fantasy VII. This is my opinion on FFXIII and i really hope that it is true. So tell me forum, What do you think???
 
You are a fan boy posting in the wrong section, that is what I think. One liner for the win.
 
I think that I really doubt it, and I hope it isn't true.

You also seem to be forgetting that it could be taking so long because they might have to learn how to develop games for the PS3 as opposed to the PS2. They had to learn a new systems limits, and such, and that always takes time.

*snort* Are you totally kidding me? :lew: Oh please spare me the obsessive fanboy act. It really gets so old. They've already stated numerous times that there are currently NO PLANS to remake FFVII as of now. They're currently working on Final Fantasy XIII, which I can guarantee you young lad that it is not a cover up. Then after working on FFXIII they're moving onto Versus XIII. Not to mention there is also XIV in the works. I also remember reading something about them working on the Kingdom Hearts series as well. One might assume they're going to start KH3 but who knows. Dead horse is dead. Stop beating it already. :horsebeat:
 
There is no cover up, and there is not going to be an FF7 remake as of yet. Certain fans (and I mean only a certain group of FF7 fans, not all of them) wish that they would do a remake, and so create rumours hoping that it will somehow magically come true if enough people get excited about it... But most of the rumours originated from people that had never seen a tech demo before...

As for FFXIII... I don't think they are taking too long really. I mean how long has it been.. 3-4 years since FFXII was released? It might seem a long time but bear in mind this is a console leap now, and they're also working on multiple projects (though not all the same staff on the same project).

And they've not been lazy in between FFXII and FFXIII either.. .They've released Crisis Core, Dissidia etc and have been focusing on other things.

They've been working hard on so many projects I doubt they'd have the time to suddenly announce "oh, we did that but it was a joke. We're actually concentrating on an FF7 remake!" then the screen shakes and Lightning gradually transforms into Cloud and they shout "fooled you!".

Where are you people getting the FF7 remake news from? Last time I checked, the Guys said there would be no remake! gah! I need proof! *searches net frantically*

Another theory of the late release could be a totally different suprise that catches the whole world off guard...
 
Could be, I'm not really concerned though. It took SE ages to come out with Crisis Core, and look at what was produced. a 10-hour story with a stupid-ass plot hole that shits on the entire fucking game.

I'm more concerned with their poor performance and production of RPGs since Squaresoft became Square Enix.

No, you've clearly not followed FFXIII throughout the past years. They had to develop the crystal tools engine to actually develop the game, and that in itself would be massively time consuming if they've perfected FFXIII. Furthermore, the Xbox 360 port didn't help and only pushed the release further back.

Bollocks, you're a fanboy plain and simple holding to the smallest hope that FFVII will be remade. I think it's time to the face the facts that the only people that care about the remake of FFVII are the fanboys and the more hardcore FFVII fans. I doubt anyone else could give a shit >.>

Cover up? Mate, stop reading the Da Vinci Code and chill. Where is the cover up? The reason why its taken ages to release the game is because it takes time to create something that fucking amazing ... not to give fanboys like you a freaking lob-on.

Wait a minute. How is FFXIII going to be bullshit because it's been in development for a long time? Logic tells me that longer development times normally lead to better quality games because the developers can be more careful with it without rushing, more time to add new content in, more time to iron out glitches and bugs etc. I would much rather wait patiently for a game rather than expecting tons of shovelware. Look at Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake and Heavy Rain. They've also been in development for some time. What are their developers using them to cover up for?

I think you've completely lost it. I wouldn't mind a FFVII remake either, but I'm not going into crazy far-fetched hypothetical thinking. Why would FFXIII be made to cover up a FFVII remake? FFXIII is the franchise's next big step, and why would FFVII be covered up anyway even if it's being made? Knowing SE, they would shout about it.
 
I don't like the look of FFXIII, but I think "bullshit" is a little harsh, especially considering the game isn't even out yet...try playing it first before you judge it, hmm?

As for the conspiracy theory...well, nobody thought that Nintendo would REALLY re-make Pokemon Gold and Silver, and here we are with HeartGold and SoulSilver. A lot of people HOPED for it, but until the announcement all people had to go on was a few hints that weren't really hints at all. SE COULD be doing the same thing to surprise the fans, but I doubt it. They would have at least dropped some hints, and asides from the message at the end of Crisis Core, I don't see anything. I wouldn't hold your breath.

SE is not a remaking FFVII. They have way to much on their plate at the moment. So take a breather. Why don't you try the other games? Remember, there are more in the final fantasy world than just the seventh one.

dude.. have you researched things about the crystal tool engine?. they develped this to improve the game and lots more stuff to improve and develop..

you're crap.. there are other final fantasy worlds that are great to play and final fantasy does not only revolve around FFVII.. sure FFVII was a great game and I have to say that it is one of my favorite but you have to move on.. the past is past...
 
Okay you guys all bring up great points about XIII and yes i am loooking forward to XIII, But i am a mega huge fan of VII. I am merely trying to fool myself i guess. -_- I am awaiting XIII as eagerly as i am dreaming of a VII remake. :tooweird:
