XBox srs bsns. Xbox Browser. We need one!

Ive been debating this for a while with my friends around here, and they have said the same thing
''how come and xboxb doesnt have a browser but the PS3 does?''

Lemme see, because Microsoft are too lazy to so anything about it.
Here's my point, if they can make Slimlines in different versions (yes, those depressingly ugly Halo3 ones which I would be more than happy to smash), and release Kinect and showboat it like mad, then srs, they could sit and spend a little bit of their time actually bringing something useful to XboxGamers. A friggin browser. Its not hard!

Srs, Im not the only one who feels like this am I?:mad:
 
ps3 browser isnt anything to be impressed with.
Its way slower than a normal browser like say even ie and thats saying something. Navigating it using the controller is a pain as the button configuration is terrible and you constantly get it asking you if java can open a page in a new window.

i demand a browser on my xbox... i wana spamm the forums while spamming ffxiii :)

but the main thing i do... msn is on the xbox anywaz
 
Yeah if it's anything like the ps3 browser it wouldn't be worth it. My PC was down for a few days once so I used the ps3 and it was a pain in the ass, slow and tedious to type as well unless you have a keyboard :l

MSN on the xbox sucks, I've experienced it.
Though, I dont talk on MSN so much, I just leave it on!

And yes, browser would be good! Spammming here and FF at the same time would be a good idea.
 
yyh i got to admit..... msn on the xbox sucks.. crashes all the time XD

also.. it don't really effect me cuz i got to have my laptop on when on live anywaz cuz of the way i have my internet set up :D
 
It does man, which is why when I'm on the laptop I tend not to be on live :yay:
Because og lag and such..
 
It wouldn't be a bad thing if microsoft, xbox or whoever decided to release a Xbox browser but the likelyhood of it actually happening is remote.

Microsoft seem to be happy with making games consoles etc. and not expanding the use of them outwards to becoming almost as effective as a computer or handheld games consoles.

But not to say that it isnt possible if they have allowed facebook to be used on an xbox. So who knows the possibilities may be endless as to what they could implement onto the xbox with a few tweaks and updates etc.

Well the browser on the ps3 sometimes freezes. About it being slow with the use of controller, you can luckily connect your mouse and keyboard on your ps3.

TBH I use the browser a lot...Im mostly active on Youtube to listen music etc..
Music sites are nice..

I sometimes check my bank account on the ps3.

Browser is usefull at times and without I would have been upset even though the browser isnt ace, I feel it just has to be there..

Yes Xbox should have a browser as well..why not ?



PS: I wish the ps3 allowed freeking flashplayer to be installed and adobe player..
If they allowed that, I could watch every movieplayer they put on sites..

Anime sites etc.. for now only Megavideo works, but y'all know it has a limit..

Sometimes videos work and sometimes they dont.. but its cool to watch movies etc on ps3..


Also you can stream videos/music and pics from other laptops in the house.. depending on the router you can watch movies pretty smoothly..

I watched a movie on my ps3 while the actual flick was on me sisters laptop.. :D
 
One more thing a friend of mine showed me a site from quicksilverscreen.com (which you can watch movies on).. but if you click on the forum there, you can stream all kind of videos from different genres..but the HD section is ace..

It works like a freeking charm.. :)
 
probably because microsoft know there's absolutely no call for one. i doubt there's a single xbox owner in the world who doesn't have a computer with access to the internet.
 
I've gotta agree with Lew here, the browser on the PS3 is rubbish :wacky:
I never use it, I've got a laptop for a reason, and I'm fairly certain every xbox user has a computer of some sort :wacky:
If I'm not on my laptop and I want to use the internet I just go on my phone... the browser on that thing's probably faster than the PS3 one. Plus, whenever I HAVE used the PS3 browser, it freezes the whole console to the point where I have to unplug it. -_-
 
Xbox not having a browser isnt anything special. The ps3 browser is mostly horrid when it comes to using it. I only use it to watch anime films or some sort. It just feels better than watching it on laptop for me. But god just like Charlotte said.. it does freeze A whole lot which to the point just gets frickin annoying. Also it probably doesn't have a browser because it really does not need one.
 
I wouldn't even use the PS3 one for tvshows/music etc tbh. Console browsers are shite, they lack basic features that the internet on laptops/PCs have and the loading times are horrendous. It takes forever to type anything in and the cursor is horribly slow too.

tl;dr - you don't want a 360 browser

Actually, shows on the PS3 aren't half bad. I've watched a few things on iPlayer or 4OD if I miss them on telly and they load quick, picture's good, etc.
That's the only time I use the PS3 for anything other than the actual games, and it's separate to the browser... so yeah, the browser's still rubbish.
