SOTW / AOTW Discussions and Results

Schedule question:

This Saturday: Winter SOTW goes up. (I have plans all day Friday, so unless I put them up early, Friday polls for SOTW/AOTW are impossible :lew:)
Next Friday: Next SOTW.

Now, should I put up guidelines for the Christmas-New Year week, or just throw up SOTW and AOTW of the year, and then resume normal service first week of January? Or, should there be a SOTW on 31st December alongside SOTW/AOTW of the year?
 
I'd say the latter. I think you could pull off those two simultaneously and I think it could be great fun. :dave:

Unless I misunderstood something, which would be likely. :8F:
 
What I'm worried about, though, is that SOTW will get lost in comparison to SOTY, which is a gigantic poll, and it will, naturally, take most of the attention.
 
Just throw up the SOTW/AOTW of the year and resume normal service first week of January. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to put up the SOTW/AOTW of the year, so don't worry about putting up another SOTW/AOTW that same week.
 
I have two entries for SOTW and no entries for AOTW. So I'll wait until 7pm to put up the SOTW thread, hopefully I'll have at least two AOTW entries by then ^^
 
Wow, just two? I figured since the theme was Winter, it would get a lot of entries ~ 8(

It just so happens that this passing week was also exams week for a majority of education systems, Estrella, that most likely being the reason why it got so few entries. I had even picked out a stock pic and everything for this competition, but studying took priority over SOTW. :\
 
I suppose I should've known it was too much to ask for for people to get stuff done by Christmas Eve. :wacky:

Anyways, so far I have 2 SoTW entries and one AoTW entry, and I don't want to post either up until I have enough to get a competition going for AoTW. So until then, I suppose the voting threads will be on an indefniite suspension until I get more entries.

Don't forget everyone, this is the last proper SOTW of 2010! Next Friday, I'll stick up SOTY and AOTY. It's been an excellent year guys.
 
I get my very first award. Oh happy is me ~ :woo:

But since I'm still considered a member of only 3 months attendance, I have to ask: Do we do the same thing for submitting for SOTY/AOTY ? :8F:

So if my math is correct, there'll be 52 signatures/avatars to vote for. . .this is going to be huge . :wacky:

I have more than enough signatures to make the thread with (great work, guys!) but, once again... no avatars. So, I'm extending the deadline till tomorrow night, hopefully I can get at least two avatar entries by then.
 
:gasp: I forgot about this. I think I'll try and make something now. :hmmm:
 
Gah, I forgot about the recent SOTW/AOTW too. All I've been mainly doing this week was reviewing for exams this upcoming week. If I can think of something, I'll submit an entry - though chances are slim. :sad3: Other than that, I'll probably have to wait for what the next SOTW/AOTW will be .

avvys, i find, are quite hard but seeing as I'm probably the only one on school holidays, I'll give it a go :)

EDIT: Just sent one in :)
