'kay, some of you have been ignoring the new SOTW rules. So as stupid as this may seem to some of you, I'm going to post them at the top of this thread in size 4 BBCode. :wacky:

Rules that apply to every SOTW

1.) Do not vote for your own entry. You will be immediately disqualified if you do so.

2.) Do not submit the same sig/tag in more than one SOTW. That's just silly, and will get you disqualified.

3.) Do not submit and old tag. I don't mean one you made a week ago, (that I can let slide), but I mean one that's been sitting on your hard drive for months that you just never did anything with.

4.) All entries regardless of the theme, must fit the forum sig limits which is 500x200.

5.) All votes must have a post to match, or they will be discarded.

6.) You must elaborate on what you like about the signature that you are voting for. Voting for a signature because it has a character you like in it just as a reason all by itself is a perfect example of how to get your vote invalidated. Votes without proper elaboration of what strikes your fancy about the graphic will be discarded as well. This does not mean that you have to write a paragraph critique. Appreciate the overall signature you're voting for, not just the character in it.

I vote for number 3, it appeals to me more than the others, I love the colors, and the size of the sig is cute too.
 
3 definatly as yoshi is like my fav mario character ever, i aso like how the colours have been blended together and kept with a similar shade of green to yoshi's skin

I voted for 6. I enjoy LoZ greatly, and I like the merging of Link with the background.
 
I voted for 6 as well, out of all of them it's the one where all the elements fit in really well. The others are generally fine but 6 just looks that little bit better.

Quite elegant... The great choice of coloring and color filtering Yellow/Green/Blue ... The text has the same shade and highlight as the whole stocks
 
Hmmmm I like number 3 because it's green and yoshi and he's on a bike....that's like all made of win for me....buuuut I also like number 6, it just seems really well done, i love the colours and the effects on it (even tho i dunno what they are) sooo Ima say number 6
 
I'm voting for #2. Compositionally, it isn't strong (one subject smack dab in the center), but the subject is more appealing to me than the others. I love Tales of Symphonia. The effects are pretty damn cool as well. Lloyd's lookin' sharp.
 
Ah this is really hard. Lots of awesome entries this week and I can't seem to choose which one I like best.

I can say that it's between 1, 2, 4, and 5. Ah well, time to really look at these.

1 - The backgrounds pretty cool and the coloring's alright. Lighting effects really made the background stand out, but I think the C4D render's a little too overdone. When I look at the sig, my gaze shifts more to the background (especially on the left side) than the stock itself since the background is just way out there. Hmm, the text seems kinda out of place as well, but I think it's because it's lacking some effects that would otherwise make it really look good in general. Other than that, it's pretty nifty and effects-wise, it's definitely up there.


2 - The color theme matches really well and the effects are just the right amount on the sig. But I think there's quite a bit of space that could've been filled to make it even greater...or perhaps if the sig size was lessened a bit, then it would've been fine. I don't know, there just seems to be something missing, but I can't exactly pinpoint what. It's still pretty cool though.


4 - Now this one is pretty unique. The sig style is what caught my attention at first. It was done very sophisticatedly and the color theme is fantastic. Sure there's not much, but this really makes me wanna get a Wii. xD It could've passed as a logo for the Wii company itself, in my opinion. It's that good. A little too bright, but it's still fine.


5 - Hah, this one's fun and also very unique. The Gameboy in the background is a really nice touch, as if the characters emerged from the screen/game itself. Genius idea! But...I must say that it probably would've looked better without the yellow stars. Of course, one can argue that the theme and environment is what you'd call "surreal", (you know, like fantasy land) so it may very well be okay too.


So...I'm gonna have to go with 4 here. xD I like sophisticated signatures, and that one seems almost business-like. Not that much going on and although it kept that simple style, it's still gorgeous.

I vote #4, very unique and nice colours. Good use of C4Ds and signature has a sense of flow in it.

EDIT- Voted for #6 by accident in the poll, so if you could deduct one the votes and add to #4 that would be great ^-^

I voted for 2 I think it's cool even though I dunno that character O_O
 
Number 3 is very cute but also has a hard, pro-style backround.

I didn't vote for 6 because of the light options. There's not much going on in it but all seems so squashed in.

Defenetly didn't vote for 5, reason is that I hate Mario. He has mustash and I don't like mustash. It's o 90s :wacky:
 
Number 3 for me. Love Yoshi, love the colours, and I like the "dirt" effect that seems to be there - looks like he's really revving up! :p
 
This one was a little difficult for me, but it was between 2 and 6.

I really liked 2, but there is just too much empty space which has nothing to look at, but I really like how I'm kind of drawn to look at the stock used.

#6 I didn't like the lighting effect used at all because it draws my focus away from the stock, but the stock blends very nicely with the background and overall used up the best amount of space so I'm going to vote for #6
 
#4 gets my vote, good placement of c4d and nice use of the gradient tool, the curvy edges just add to it's sweetness :D
 
I'm voting for #4 as well, although they are all great sigs!
I just like the simplicity of #4, it doesn't look overdone and the perfect C4D and colour were chosen to go with the Wii images and the rounded border just topped it off.

Don't worry about it, votes are counted up individually at the end of SOTW to separate votes that follow the new rules and ones that don't at the end of the week anyway.

We'll be sure to note that you meant to vote for number four. :)
 
Holy poo, all of these are really well done. I'm going to go with #4 on this one. I was going to go for #5, but Yoshi's face was cut off, and that doesn't fly with me. :P

As far as #4 goes, as everyone else has said, it looks really refined and elegant. I think the brightness adds to the ethereal feel, too. The flowing shapes and contours just makes the siggy feel really chill, and the shape of the image is unique as well. The text layer(s) was/were done well with the differing opacity in different parts of the text. Way cool.
