Sorry for the delay, I wanted to put the threads up on Friday, but I didn't have any AOTW entries, and I like to put both threads up at once xD

The theme this week is Freestyle Collaboration. Please remember, that while posting isn't necessary in order to count your vote, it is encouraged.

Also, please remember that you CANNOT vote for your own entry, and you will be disqualified from this SOTW, and the next two SOTWs if you do so.

OMG SUCH GREAT ENTRIES!

I just had an Eyegasm.

But entry 3 had my attention.

Entry 1 was great too, but Entry 3 had a better resolution and I like the colors alot more.

AWESOME WORK EVERYONE!
 
Mine went to four. I like it's simplicity yet the fact that it doesn't look bland. Very good job.
 
I'm voting for number one. I like the overall layout and size and I like the way that Tifa and Aerith are sharply defined rather than blended into the background, I think it works well. I think the random flowers on the right side are a nice touch too. Great sig.
 
As much as I think #1 has going for it, especially in terms of those floral effects, I think that #3 is more refined, in the sense that it effectively uses up the given space on the canvas via using the given background to its utmost, as well as using the given lighting effectively to recreate, with the help of other elements, an effective piece.

Anywhoo, i had to go with #2. The effects were just spectacular. The C4ds used gave it that extra "WOW" factor, and i just fell in love with it at first glance <3
 
Waah...these entries are so amazing! I took a long time choosing! In the end, I went with #1. I can't take my eyes off of it because it's so adorable. I like the flower texture that was used the background and the colors give off a warm feeling. I also like the picture of Tifa and Aerith together. :3
 
This week was a hard week, I appreciate the time and effort you folks put into all your work. Everyone's was good.

#1 Great lighting, and well defined text. Excellent Job

#2 Maybe tone it down a little circular effects, but even so great job!

#3 + #4 These were the two game breakers for me, both were so well done. The thing that got me though was #4 and how simple the lighting was and how dark the piece was overall. It called out to me a bit more.

So overall #4, great job folks, look forward to the next time.
 
OKAY. I finally voted after contemplating for minutes....
It was down to 1 and 4 for me.

#1 has such brilliant and cute lively colors. It's just such a refreshing sig, and the text is very true ^_^ I love Tifa and Aerith, and seeing that makes me smile. It's so sweet.

#4 is just great. It's simple and clean (and I like simple & clean), and I feel like I could stare at it for hours. The color and lighting is nice and builds a cool-mysterious mood, I don't know why but it makes me feel sci-fi-ish.

I voted for #1, cheery sigs are always so nice, I really just love it.
 
One of the best group of entries in a while IMO.

1) Very nice to look at although, it looks a bit unbalanced. The main stock is positioned to the left with some subtle lighting, and then very strong lighting, text and floral detail to the right which IMO, throws the composition off.

2) It does the best in actually creating effects which I think look nice. I'm not a huge fan of the text and the lighting is weird because the strongest lighting is beneath her to the left whilst there's light shining down on the stock from the right (on her neck).

3) Has the best composition IMO and still has depth and detail even though the topaz filter has been used. Nice text and bokeh lighting.

4) I'm not too sure about the spacing of the second line of text. The first line looks good. Also there seems to be some discoluration to the right where it turns a bit grey/green. Creative stock positioning. It could just be the stock but the small planet in the BG just looks like a circle and a bit flat.


All quite simple entries I think, but IMO, 3 executed it the best.
