SOTW 123 Voting Thread

The theme this week is 2009. Please remember, that while posting isn't necessary in order to count your vote, it is encouraged.

Also, please remember that you CANNOT vote for your own entry, and you will be disqualified from this SOTW, and the next two SOTWs if you do so.

[Sexy Beast]

At first glance, this one caught my attention. I really think it went well with the theme..a "2009" based tag in a "2009" theme, go figure . The effects really caught my eye, and the stars were a real nice choice. Great job to the one who made it

Also, a nice job to the other contestants

I think 4 and 5 were the best made tags of the lot.

I think the effects in 4 are fantastic. The use of C4D is done expertly and they work very well. The dots of colour and bubble C4D are very attractive as well.

5 has great smudging and the blending of the flags look fantastic.

I think the text in both could use some work but in the end, I voted for 5. Obama becoming president was a more iconic moment of 2009 IMO, and as such I think it fitted the theme much better.

Well done to those who entered.

I had a tough time choosing between No4 and No1.
In the end I went with No4.

Fantastic job done in this one I'd say.
The effects, the colors, the image it self I'd say was done very, very well. =)
The focal point of the signature I say is very well positioned and as always, I'm a sucker for earthly colors which is why I think I was drifted away from No1. The background of the image I'm simply adoring it, like there's more to see there if one looks closely, the attention to detail was very well done and placed. ♥

Number 4's Lady GaGa sig has to be my favourite out of the five.

Unfortunately I am not a GFX expert at all, so I can't necessarily comment on how well done it is exactly.

As Ryuuki said, the colours are very well done and there is a cleverly done heat effect in the background. I love the fact that warm colours are used- it matches GaGa and her hellraiser-like tendencies. I love the bubbly text as well

Also, that is a rather awesome image of GaGa- that scene from Poker Face is definitely my favourite.

I voted for #1.

It appealed to me the moment I opened up the thread. =D

It's so pretty and girly. <3

I love the colours used and how the background is blurred to bring more focus to the text.

I also really like how it's focal is the text! The fonts are so gorgeous and I love how the second line of text runs through the fist line. <3

Very creative!

The stars and flowers look so pretty amongst the background and the pattern over on the right fits in beautifully. <3

Gorgeous lighting around the text and the half border works brillliantly!
