Glad I bloody did. I'm a little disappointed at the 'general' perspective of the episode, as opposed to the regular character-themed episodes, but I suppose it was necessary considering what happened.
Glad to see Maxxie's getting a more prominent role though. He seemed too shunned - more of a support character in the last series.
Needs more Chris. His episode in series 1 was probably one of the best.
I didn't think the new one was anything great, but good enough to get started on. I want that song Maxxie was dancing to at the start though...
Okay so I just got into Skins because they started showing it on BBC America, and I'm TOTALLY hooked. I've only seen Episodes 5 and 6 of series one though.
They only just started showing the first season a few weeks ago over here. I found it unbelievably good, so I went and bought the first two seasons on DVD. I found season one to be better than the second season, but my favourite episode is probably Chris' episode from season two. But yeah.. Skins is one of my favourite TV shows nowadays, epic series is epic.
Suprised they started with a thomas centered episode i thought they would have gone with Effy or Freddie, I thought it was alright though wasn't expecting thomas to sleep with that girl so soon
Hope that Cook and Effy end up together but it's obvious it will be her and freddie
The first two series were good, but I really wish they'd left it there. The entire thing was based around that cast of characters, so once their storyline was done with the show was effectively over for good. I've boycotted the entire thing ever since they wrote a third series.
I saw the first few episodes and fell in love with it. I thought it was quite a dark series but that was just me. Their lifestyle always struck a chord in me for some reason.
I thought series 1 was much better than 2. 2 become too intense for me and started looking like a stereotypical drama towards the end. I liked the originality of series 1.
I haven't seen any of the new ones. Lack of interest really. I enjoyed the characters of the first one and I'm not too interested in meeting any new ones. Tony's sister (Effy was it?) didn't really draw me in.
My sister is a big fan though so I'll ask her opinions on it. She'll probably have the DVD's anyway so I might consider watching it.
