Scariest movie you've ever seen!

I do not like clowns and I never have; so seeing IT when I was younger scared the crap out of me. That's about it.

I'm a big fan of scary movies ^_^ My favorite would have to be "Grudge" the scariest... Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was quite scary I think

The scary movies are great. I love watching horrors. Some scare me, some do not..some are plain slashers and those ones I do not enjoy as much, as I do not like senless blood and gore just for the purpose of showing blood and guts. Horror tales are the oldest tales of the world :)

Jaws: I was 12, did not go into the water for a whole month, it still is scary, and the thing is it is the reality factor that makes it scary, cos it is possible...in a sence that shark attack is very real and possible

Alien: when you a kid and even if your are not, if you have no idea what this film is about, Alien is one trully scary film....unfortunatelly this movie is a classic now, and pretty much everyone knows all main the bits from it...but if you do know that chest burster is coming....damn....

Candyman : dare you to go in front of the mirror and say it five times after watching it

Descend: Dog Soldiers is good, but this was a proper scare...creepy as hell to me cos as an anthropologist, I tell you backward evolution is possible....

Event Horizon: now that scared me ....the whole film has this creepy atmosphere

Company of Wolves: very disturbing, but a great representation of Little Red Riding Hood

American Werewolf in London: scared the hell out of me as a kid

Cannot think of anymore for now

The scareiest movie to me is actually a comedy.
Vampire in Brooklyn, Starring Eddie Murphy.
Stupid , I know but when I was younger this movie scared me and I still won't watch today.

I saw Dead Silence while my reality was a bit distorted, so the movie itself was beautiful and frightening to me. The transitions seemed well thought out, and the only thing that needed to be worked on was the acting. (common flaw.)

Not too many scary movies really do the trick for me. There's only one movie that I've ever watched that caused me to stay awake for days on end.

Don't laugh. =x

I should also mention the grudge. I don't think it was necessarily a scary story...just some of the scenes in the movie creeped me out to high heaven. Like that chick walking upside down.

I think that a lot of recent scary movie releases really SUCK.

Haha i totally agree!

I'm a big fan of scary movies, i dont get that scared but they can be jumpy. What scared me most out of my entire life was Nightmare On Elm Street when i was younger, about 9 or 10 i guess.

In the past 4-5 years, Jeepers Creepers shook me up a bit, The Ring although thought the second one was a load of shite, The Amityville Horror, Silent Hill.

Signs. Yes. Signs.
I don't really do horror.
That being said, I should make this post a little longer so it's not spam.
I'm really paranoid about the supernatural. Signs kept me afraid for a full 6 months, and most people tell me it's not even a scary film. I've been like that ever since I saw a moment in Johnathan (sp?) Creek at the age of 9 or so.

I've never really seen a scary film..

Although Sleeping With the Enemy was rather scary (the film, that is XP). Mainly because of the creepy husband with the moustache. eek! *shudders*

And things like Jurassic Park which freaked me out but weren't exactly what you'd class as 'horror'.

Im a wuss :P

I like horror movies but I'm really not scared of them, only sometimes. I'm not scared of the kind that could actually happen like Saw and Silence of the Lambs. I am scared of stuff like Silent Hill... It never has happened and probably never will but... You never know, there's a first for everything ;)

Also aliens. Aliens freak the shit out of me I can't stand the thought of them and we don't know what they look like, can do, have done, we think they make crop circles, as well as abduct us... I'm scared of Aliens.

Scariest Movie you've ever seen?

Whats the scariest movie you peeps have ever seen? I'm not gonna put a poll up because theres so many :O, and what might be scary to one person probably isnt scary to the next.

The scariest movie I saw was called Trece Fantasmas( I saw it when I was a little kid), I'm not sure what the english version is called. But I remember there was a ghost in there named Jackal, he scared the craps outta me =(.

umm . . . it's kinda hard to choose one since I can hardly find one, I don't find the scary movies scary they are most likely disgusting >.> so I would probably say Saw but it's not scary anyway. -_-

Mine it must be Satan's Doll or something like that.I watched it when I was four and for one month before I go to bed I'd look at the door because I thought it'd come.I made sure I kept my legs far from beds.In the movie that doll would drag people under the bed.

What I really wanna watch is the Exorcist,I've heard is very disgusting. My sister had watched just a scene from it and couldn't sleep for the rest of the night.

Agreed, I saw Boogeyman 2 the other day, was nothing but disgust, what the hell has happened to scary movies! =( Before they were actually quite scary, now its all gore, and torture, thats not scary....its disgusting. Saw had a nice mix of the two though

Try to put more effort into your posts, sir. ;D

...thooooough, I'm gonna go ahead and copy your answer. Hah! Movies like Saw are only scary because of the blood and guts. The Exorcist is a good, old-fashioned horror film that'll freak you out.

The Coneheads scared me when I was younger. Those dudes still give me nightmares. Too bad that isn't technically a "scary movie."
