"Oh, come to my room, Robert has a request for us, a mission from King Puck of Burmecia. Come on!"
"I wonder what our friendly neighbourhood 'hero' wants of us now"
Following after Annelise, having no idea where her room was he had to do so, entering her room he stood himself against the wall by the door, removing his katana from the belt as he leant against the wall and rested the hilt on his shoulder.
Listening to Robert's battle plan, he began to question to himself why Alexandrian Knights were now being told what to do be a foreign power, ultimately they weren't Alexandria's problem and alliance or not, were the Burmecian's even authorised to give out orders to a Foreign army? Unable to restrain himself, he felt it was in the interests of himself and Annelise to know where they stood, both being Alexandrian Knights.
"I have one question, who died and made you leader? Or more specifically, who gave Burmecia authority to command another country's soldiers? Do you even have consent from Queen Garnet to use her troops? Rescue mission or no, we're not Mercenaries, we're soldiers and we only answer to our Country, nobody else's"
While Ricard had no interest in putting his country's honour or pride or whatever on the line, he did make it his interest in not sticking his neck out needlessly, especially when he didn't have to.
"And on a somewhat related note, is Burmecia truly so lacking in a military that it needs a small force of Knights who just crash landed here to rescue one of it's most important power figures? It was my understanding that Burmecia was a well established military powerhouse, or is my understanding mistaken?"
While the mocking was unintentional, he still found it remarkably out of character of what he would expect of a country, freshly built or not to so quickly rely on randomers, they even included civilians in their number. Such a decision did not sound particularly wise, even if their King was young, there was a limit to how much ill choice a King could make.
