[RP] Final Fantasy IX: Scars of Terra

Stephen Hownam
Gizamaluke's Grotto

Stephen stood panting heavily, in front of him stood a Lamia, Dagger in hand and a glare on it's face, behind Stephen was a buremacian knight, clutching his chest, the man was bleeding, because of the Lamia, it had caught him off guard and taken to killing him, something that Stephen had prevented and so had become the Target of the Lamia.

Stephen smirked as his foe charged and he unleashed a Fira spell directly into the Lamia, causing it to screech in pain and unleash a heavy Arcing slash at Stephen that he ducked under and moved closer to the Beast, unleashing a combo of three punches, finishing with an uppercut the Lamia fell to the floor, withered and died.

Stephen then turned and bolted over to the Knight "Can you Stand?" he asked "not on my own" the knight replied then i shall help you" Stephen announced as he helped the knight to his feet and Carried the man towards the Exit of the Grotto, "thank you kind monk, i was unaware your kind were allowed to use magic" the Knight asked Stephen "Well im no a monk, Im a mage" Stephen informed him "i was just taught to throw punches by the monks, they didn't like my abilities" Stephen explained as the reached the Exit "the journey over the plain shall be a long one kind sir" the knight announced to which Stephen smiled "I have time" Stephen explained before kicking the door open and heading out.

Stephen carried the man across the plain for an hour, that seemed longer, before the knight required to rest. Sitting the knight on a rock Stephen crouched next to the man "I shall take you to your people, there you can get medical treatment, if you have a family, think about them to keep yourself strong, and Drink this potion, it will help with your wounds." Stephen informed the knight handing him a potion that the knight then gulped down rapidly.

"thank you sir, you are a good man, many would have left me to the Lamia" the knight said "well, I'm searching for Redemption" Stephen informed the man

Lan Ester: Black Mage Village Outskirts/ edge of forest

"Well firstly, you may not call me Ri." "and my reasons aren't anything special... I've been couped up in that tiny Village, being told the tales of great adventurers only to be denied adventuring myself... "

Lan nodded as he heard the reason and ignored the don't message. The reason was valid enough and he could only sympathize with the man himself.

"How far is Oeilvert from here? On the map, how far does it show the place from here?"

Lan's reply was a simple one.

"It's far from where we are and unless we have access to an airship, impossible to access by foot or ship." Lan muttered thinking about the rumors that surrounded the Kingdom of Oeilvert.

"I'm going to make a name for myself, Lan. We're going to help stop the upcoming war!"

Lan gritted his teeth as he heard what Ri said. Help stop the war? Lan was surprised at how naive that statement was.

"Stopping the war eh? Not the best idea. Let me ask you one thing. Have you killed another living and speaking being
? Stopping the war won't done unless we can stop it with either talking or killing the enemies' ranks. It is not something that is taken lightly. Besides, the armies on both side are thinking the same thing for themselves." Lan muttered as the sea came into view. Taking a deep sniff, Lan opened the map and laid it on the ground plotting the next destination, Fossil Roo.

Rior Laistan
Black Mage Village - Outskirts

The little boy before him had no right to deny him of his new goal. This was going to be his journey and he would continue it, with or without Lan and his map.

Obviously Oeilvert was out of the question for now, they didn't have an airship... they didn't really have anything but their two feet, the poor feet would have to take them miles before they reached anywhere of any importance.

Rior remained silent for a while, mulling over what to do, when the two genomes finally reached the sea. He lifted his head which was previously tilted towards the ground and took in the sight. It was amazing, the water was sparkling, it smelt salty, the sand was soft. He smiled, he'd never felt so good in his entire life. He then turned to Lan, an expression of confidence on his face.

"You don't have to agree with my reasons, you don't have to like it and you don't have to come with me, but I am going to do something with my life...I've spent far too long...eighteen years exactly, doing nothing, absolutely nothing. I've heard the Tales of Zidane Tribal, he started as nothing...well...he was born for something, but he didn't know that.."
Rior paused before taking a few steps towards the ocean.

"I could be born for something too...and just not know it. But what I do know is I am going to prove myself by helping out in this war. People pledge themselves to the guard all the time, I'll just cut the line and meet with them in the battle field. Now, since Oeilvert is out of the question, how's about Clerya? Can we get there?"

He began to walk again, now in the direction of Fossil Roo. Lan had pointed out the location earlier. His spirits were lifted. His tail was raised and wagged happily and he had an incredible air of self confidence about him. He'd deluded himself into thinking that going to join the army was the best thing to do and nothing was going to stop him.

"Well hurry along then." He called to the boy "If you're coming with me you'd better pick up your pace... and hurry up and tell me the location of Clerya, we don't have all day!" His voice was light hearted.

Lan Ester: Enroute to Fossil Roo.

Lan shrugged as he picked the map up and started to follow Rior. Then a thought hit him.

"Why Clerya?" Lan asked while quickly plotting out the quickest path to Clerya. After a quick look on the map and a refresher on how Zidane and his group got to the area they were now gave Lan his plan. Walking up beside Rior, Lan showed the map to him and gave him the general direction while pointing out key locations.

"Ok. We go into Fossil Roo. From what the tales of Zidane states, it should lead us into the middle of the Mist Contientant. Inside a marsh called Qu's Marsh. After that, we should head north from Qu's Marsh until we hit
Gizamaluke's Grotto. We go through there and Clerya should be walking distance from there. But before we get to Clerya, we should restock at Burmieca and also in Fossil Roo. Better safe then sorry in any case." Lan said folding up the map.

As Annelise went ahead to look on the starboard side of the ship. She heard Alleria say something.

"Annelise! Daughter of THE Steiner and Beatrix?!"

The Knight turned around, looking at the Purple-Haired Ipsen Knight. She seemed to be in a happy mood, and what she said next was the reason.

"You can't refuse me! I must challenge you... After this mission though."

For Annelise, who was the child of two of some of the greatest knights in the history of Alexandria, being challenged to a duel was something of a frequent occurrence to her. Although she is confident in her own abilities, she was often determined to do her best, to try to win. However, they were professional, and the mission must come first.

"Oh, you so gotta take her on, Anne. Show her the power that made your parents great!"

Ignoring Jeanne, Anne said, "I accept your challenge, but once we are finished with our mission."

"
You better stay alive!"

Anne took that last sentence into consideration. She couldn't afford to die, not with a challenge to be upheld. "And the same to you, Alleria..." Anne turned around and walked over to the starboard side.

After the Queen left the Airship to head back to the castle, The Steam-Powered Engine roared to life, as the Enterprise slowly moved sailed off from Alexandria Harbor. The propellers began to spin, and as it rotated faster and faster, the Ship slowly lifted itself off the water, and took off into the sky. The Enterprise made a complete 180, headed in the direction of Alexandria, and after 5 minutes would've passed through Alexandria City itself. It was now on course to Cleyra.

Annelise took position next to the Enterprise's starboard cannon as they flew over the Alexandrian Plains, looking down over the Evil Forest.

As she was looking down, she heard another individual speak.

"Good to see you again Annelise. How have you been?"

Annelise turned around and saw her old friend Robert standing by her, his father's spear leaning on his shoulder. Moving her hair aside, Anne smiled "Sir Robert! I've been alright since we've last met." The last time the two met, both of them were apprentice knights, the children of powerful and heroic figures. "I've improved since last we met, how about you?"

Anne looked over at General Gisale, who was on deck, her arms folded, she stood still, as if she was meditating on the situation. Although Beatrix taught Anne everything she knew, it was Gisale, her teacher at the Academy, who taught her other matters important to the knights, as well as a little swordsmanship of her own. Even though Anne still had much to learn, she knew that Gisale was probably one of the best. An idol to many, even to herself, alongside Anne's mother and father at least.

Alleria Stormseeker

And as far as Alleria was concerned, the ride became relatively low key after the challenge issued to Annelise. Both of them were far too professional to openly duel on the deck, much to Alleria's dismay. She had a reputation to upkeep, while Annelise's motivations were unknown - but a disappointment to the girl.

Even though she never would have expected the child of legends to be that cocky, she was expecting her to be hot-headed enough to take her on. After all, wasn't that how the typical high fantasy story went? Or so Alleria thought anyway, grimly realizing that reality is stranger than fiction.

With her bold claim from earlier, many of the Knights were already shunning her, and giving her looks - some curious, some disgusted, and some amused. They didn't bother Alleria much, but it didn't help to be avoided by all of them.

Then she realized that she still had to report to General Gisale.

Annelise was now speaking to a Burmercian Knight, who in turn, looked strangely familiar. Dismissing her recognition as common - being unable to differentiate between one Burmercian and another - she continued on towards the General.

The General herself was just as famous - and also another challenge that Alleria intends to overcome. Though, with her lack of reputation, and the lack of confirmation of her skills, Alleria didn't want to risk sparring with her. As much as she refused to admit, General Gisale's reputation scared her.

"Greetings, General Gisale. This one greets you with utmost respect."

Placing her right hand on her chest, over where her heart would be, she bowed slightly.

[OOC: 'This one' refers to Alleria. She's referring to herself in third person. I'm attempting to create a different culture for the Genomes of Ipsen.]

Amarant Coral
Oeilvert

The sly eagle doesn't kill at whim.

Of course thoughts of him would come flooding back to him right now, of all times. Seventeen long years away from the guy, and his damned words of wisdom still haunted Amarant from time to time. He had more effect on Red's life than anyone, even Red himself, could ever imagine. Or admit. He tried to ignore most of it, but occasionally he would grudgingly allow one of Zidane's pearls to seep into his consciousness and guide his actions.

This, surprisingly, would be one of those times.

He turned to the Cleyran assassin who lay prone, bound and gagged. None too gently grabbing the assassin's hair, Amarant jerked his head up as he crouched down beside the figure. Taking his other hand, Amarant reached into the Cleyran's pouch and withdrew a vial. Placing it carefully in his own mouth, Amarant undid the gag from the Cleyran's mouth, broke the vial open, and poured the contents into the assassin's mouth. As the Cleyran struggled, Amarant held his mouth closed and pinched his nose, forcing him to swallow the liquid.

"Run back to whomever sent you and tell them that they'll have to do better than a clumsy assassin if they want to usurp the seat of Oeilvert. Your slow-acting poison will kill you in 11 hours. Luckily, Cleyra is only a 12-hour trip, if you catch the last ferry out. I suggest you hurry." Untying the bonds holding the Cleyran, Amarant hauled him bodily to his feet. He noted the strange combination of emotions on the Cleyran's face; confusion, admiration, disappointment, and respect were all present, though all were driven by an undercurrent of abject fear at his possibly imminent demise. The would-be assassin bolted in the direction of the Forgotten Docks, built shortly after the establishment of Oeilvert as a city. It would be a race against time for the Cleyran. Amarant wasn't sure whether he wanted the Cleyran to make it home, or he wanted him to die en route. Either way would be beneficial to Oeilvert, and thus, to him.

Turning around and walking slowly back down the hallway toward his living quarters, Amarant reset the trip line that would ring a small bell near his bed were anyone to step across a certain point in the hallway. It had been what alerted him to the presence of the assassin. After resecuring the line, he continued to make his way to his room, waiting for the day ahead. Or the next event to interrupt him.

Robert Crescent

Robert smiled to hear how Anne had improved in her skills as a fighter. "Likewise. In fact, I recently graduated my training in the top of my my graduating military class and received my knighthood. I wouldn't mind seeing how much you've improved, but a spar will certainly have to wait until after Cleyra is safe." Robert repliedbefore placing his free hand upon her shoulder and giving it a friendly rub. He then looked off to the distant horizon.

"I'd hate to see the Cleyrans suffer a second tragedy. Right now, Burmecia is preparing for defensive measures while sending scouts in to guage the enemy forces with my mother spearheading the recon forces. Cleyra has so little in the way of a defense now that they no longer have the sandstorm, I can only hope we aren't too late." Robert replied to her, his tone going from friendly to serious and sombre.

Even though he wasn't even in the womb when it happened, Robert felt a strong kinship to his race, regardless of whether they called themselves Burmecians or Cleyrans. Both groups had recovered from what was almost complete annihilation due to Kuja, Brahne and Beatrix. Despite his friendship with Anne and Rusty, he was still a bit distant and indifferent in regards towards his attitude towards Beatrix. There was so much back and forth between the good things she did, the kind woman he knew her to be, and the terrible horrors she brought about upon his people.

"there it is, the gates of Buremacia" Stephen announced to the man who was Draped on his side "Teigann Vermount, my name is Teigann Vermont" the knight said "I shall get you home Teigann" Stephen replied a the pair grew ever closer to the City of Buremacia. It was around an hour after leaving The Grotto, Teigann was growing Ever weaker as Stephen's makeshift bandages weren't that great, but they were good enough to keep him alive until they reached a Doctor or white mage.

As they Strode into Buremacia, they were rushed by people wishing to help, Teigann was taken and Stephen Explained what happened. He Buremacian's understood why Stephen chose to Help, and Stephen offered his assistance to anyone who was heading to Cleyra hoping he could help defend them on the journey, he wasn't even going to wait thanks from Teigann's Family, if he had any, as Stephen didn't do it for the Gratitude, he did it to try and atone for his sins.

he looked around, wondering if anyone was to travel in the direction, if not he would head to Cleyra on his own, Journeying alone had it's perks, it would make him stronger in himself, and he wouldn't have to speak to anyone, Stephen often enjoyed the silence of the night, but just as often longed for a companion on his journey's a Group of Friends he could Speak with, and force away the loneliness.

(ooc) I'm going to move us along to Fossil Roo, so we can start heading to Cleyra, we've got a long way to go haha.

Rior Laistan

Black Mage Village - Outskirts

"Why Clerya?" The boy asked as he studied the map

"Why not?"
Rior replied with a smirk. "If we can't get to Oeilvert to stop the enemy in their own town then we'll go to Cleyra and help defend them!" He thought that was a good enough reason.

"Ok. We go into Fossil Roo. From what the tales of Zidane states, it should lead us into the middle of the Mist Contientant. Inside a marsh called Qu's Marsh. After that, we should head north from Qu's Marsh until we hit Gizamaluke's Grotto. We go through there and Clerya should be walking distance from there. But before we get to Clerya, we should restock at Burmieca and also in Fossil Roo. Better safe then sorry in any case."

Well it seemed like they had a very long journey ahead of them, it was almost daunting how long they'd have to travel for, Rior hoped they'd make it to Cleyra in time. The war would probably be over by the time they got there. He rolled his sleeves up as it was getting a little warm and sighed.

"Lets hurry then, Lan." and with that he picked up the pace.

It took approximately 20 minutes to reach Fossil Roo. The entrance was a huge hole in a cliff. Looking up, Rior noticed a vine that looked like some kind of track. A monster called a Gargant was used in these areas to transport person from one side of Fossil Roo to the other. Perhaps it was still up and running? But how does one use a Gargant?

"So... Gargants... do you think it's still working here? It would be so much easier if we could just catch a ride on it..."
He asked Lan as he peered into the cave. He really didn't want to go by foot, after fossil roo they still had a journey ahead of them before they'd reach their destination, this would just cut down on time.

Lan Ester: Fossil Roo.

Looking around the Vines, Lan saw that it would cut their travel time down if they could use the Gargant. The only main question was how to get one. Lan entered the area and almost instantly, Lan saw some plants with a yellowish tip.

"How about these plants? Could it be the Gargant's food?" Lan wondered as he walked over and picked one up. As soon as Lan picked up the plant, some odd squeaks was heard as a gargant started to walk down the vine. It kept walking until it stopped above Lan and raised/lowered itself as if it was asking for the food.

"I guess this is how you get a Gargant. You wanna hop on it before it decides to lurch off?" Lan asked as he raised the plant up and into the Gargant's mouth for it to eat.

OOC: Bathoin: Fossil Roo had been renovated to a similar standard as Gargan Roo, although you still have to feed the Gargant yourself, there should be a basket in which it will take you directly to the Fossil Roo Settlement, less of a puzzle for you to solve that way.

Annelise Steiner

"Likewise. In fact, I recently graduated my training in the top of my my graduating military class and received my knighthood. I wouldn't mind seeing how much you've improved, but a spar will certainly have to wait until after Cleyra is safe."

Annelise smiled for a moment before looking out into the skies above, Robert doing the same.

"I'd hate to see the Cleyrans suffer a second tragedy. Right now, Burmecia is preparing for defensive measures while sending scouts in to guage the enemy forces with my mother spearheading the recon forces. Cleyra has so little in the way of a defense now that they no longer have the sandstorm, I can only hope we aren't too late."

"I hope so too..."
Anne said as she looked out. Robert was right, without the Sandstorm, Cleyra had little defense. They did not have many airships in service, if at all, and only a limited defense force. For such a large city, it was fatal to be outmanned in a battle.

The feel of precipitation slowly began to come down on the Enterprise. "We must be near Burmecia." Anne thought as the rain slowly started to become heavier.

----
General Gisale

"Greetings, General Gisale. This one greets you with utmost respect."

Gisale opened her eyes, the silver eyes of a warrior maiden during the calm before the storm "I thank you for being here...Alleria." She put her hands down and turned towards the lavender-haired girl.

"As Ipsen's representative to Alexandria, I believe you will see the Alexandrian Knights, from both detachments of the Blue Winged Knights and the Pluto Knights in action. But I believe that that is not what you're here for, am I correct?"

Gisale turned back away, before closing her eyes once again. The rain starting to pour a little more intensely.

----
Lord Cyril

Theme-Scars of Terra

Lord Cyril looked calmly in the intense rains. Looking up from atop a mountain near the Burmecian-Cleyran border, he saw an airship heading towards Cleyra.

"So Alexandria has accepted the request for aid towards Cleyra..." His piercing red eyes and white hair being a direct contrast to the black and dark blue colors of his Armor, complete with black cape with the "Oeilvert Eye" on it.

"Master Cyril..." A female voice was heard from behind, and the Genome King turned around, looking at a female, wearing a black robe, the Robe of Lords, as well as a Bishop's hat. Her white hair, and green eyes make her seem innocent, yet underneath she was far from it. "So...you've come Bishop...I am glad."

The Bishop kneeled before Lord Cyril, having the King move towards her, and extending her hand, and his Ring, which she kissed. "Lord Cyril, what is it do you wish?"

Cyril twirled his cape as he walked down the mountain. "I want to be assured that no reinforcements come to Cleyra's aid. Do what you wish of the ship, but ensure that there are no survivors. I know you will not fail me." With that, Oeilvert's King left her view.

The Bishop got to her feet, and looked at her staff which she raised in the sky. "I will do as you wish, Your Majesty." Her staff struck the ground, causing bolts of electricity to jump across the ground.

Rior Laistan
Fossil Roo Entrance.

"How about these plants? Could it be the Gargant's food?"

Rior watched the boy pull a bunch of yellow flowers from the ground. His eyebrows were raised, he was a bit unsure as to whether or not that was the correct way to call a Gargant but within seconds there it was, the Gargant, just happily munching on the plants Lan was holding up to it.

It looked like a huge bug and it had a little basket dangling from beneath it.

"I guess this is how you get a Gargant. You wanna hop on it before it decides to lurch off?"

Nodding, the taller and older Genome scrabbled his way into the basket, it wobbled a bit feeling quite unsafe. Rior had decided he didn't quite like traveling by Gargant and it hadn't even started to move yet.

"Hmm, it doesn't feel very safe..."
He muttered as he hung onto the edge. "Hurry up before it decides to move and leave you behind." though would Rior really care if Lan wasn't on the journey with him? Probably not, but he did need that map.

~*~

(OOC) ok you can have the thing take us to where ever it's meant to take us haha

OCC: I'll just have the Gargant take us to the opposite side. Don't wanna waste alot of post about the trip through fossil roo.

Lan Ester: Fossil Roo

"Hurry up before it decides to move and leave you behind."

Lan sighed as the Gargant finished eating the plant. The green boy smiled as he jumped into the basket just seconds before the Gargant started moving. As the Gargant moved through Fossil Roo, Lan took the time to look at everything he can see. That included said Gargant itself. But after a few minutes of caves and only the Gargant to look at, Lan lost his interest in looking around and sat down. A few minutes more and the Gargant started to slow down and voices started grow louder. Looking over the side, Lan sees a few inhabitants.

"Hey. Where in Fossil Roo are we?" Lan asked below to the inhabitants.

"You are at the entrance of Fossil Roo of the Mist. The Fossil Roo Residential area is here also. Just go up those stairs
to get out of Fossil Roo." A person said.

Soon enough, the Gargant stopped at a food trough as Lan got out of the basket.

"Let's hurry on to that Grotto Ri." Lan called out to Rior.

Alleria Stormseeker

The truth is, Alleria didn't really know what she was here for. If there was a need to promote relationship between Alexandria and Ipsen, a larger detachment would have been much more appropriate. Either that, or a diplomat to do some talking. To simply send Alleria alone was an idea that she could not fathom, and didn't intend to.

Nevertheless, her instructions were to create a good impression of the Ipsen Knights. Including her personal wishes, it would be to also challenge the strongest warriors she can find.

The rain was getting heavier as Alleria continued keeping her head low. It rarely rained in Ipsen, and when it did, it was well hated. For one, the ground can get really muddy, and two, their armor were not completely waterproof.

"Yes, General Gisale."

Alleria didn't have a clear answer, but she figured this answer would do for now.

Robert Crescent

Robert began to chuckle a bit as the rain came in. "Home again, home again, jiggity-jig." he jested lightly. He certainly didn't expect to come home so soon, but until he reached Alexandria, he didn't know when Queen Garnet would send aid. Having spent most of his life in Burmecia, Robert didn't mind the rain. if anything, he enjoyed it.

"Thanks to Reagent Cid's steam technology and aid in the rebuilding of Burmecia, our country has grown to become a greater military powerhouse to ensure what happened during the reign of Queen Brahne never happens again from any other country. And yet now we have another war on our hands with this new upstart nation. You would think the nations of the world would be happy with the years of peace that the world has enjoyed, but I suppose there will always be power-hungry bastards, willing to take thousands of lives for the sake of power and glory. It's disgusting, really. But at least now the entire mist continent is unified as allies, so even if they manage to take Cleyra, we should be able to push them out and hopefully put an end to this war before it gets any worse." Robert spoke, not minding the rain as it poured over him.

"If we are going to make a stop in Burmecia, my brothers run a blacksmithy and synth shop in town. It wouldn't be a bad idea to make sure everyone is primed up, and coordinate our offense with King Puck so we have an entry and exit strategy." Robert suggested.

Rior Laistan
Fossil Roo Entrance.

So it seemed the Gargant took them straight through the tunnel known as Fossil Roo and had left them at the entrance to the mist continent.

While riding in the little unstable basket Rior leaned over the edge, taking in their surroundings. He'd wondered if he'd ever be able to come back here and explore it later. There were people hurrying about their duties, mining for minerals, giving a small wave as they passed on the gargant. Nothing really incredible down here but Rior still enjoyed himself and now that the ride was over and they were standing at the exit.

"A new continent...."
Rior muttered to himself. In all his life he never thought he'd leave the Mage Village and here he was now, about to enter a whole new world. He couldn't believe it.

He stepped out from the tunnel and found himself in... a marsh? A disgusting sticky, muddy marsh. There were reeds and frogs and all kinds of strange things.

"Ew...this is... disgusting!! Where are we?" he cried as he lifted his left leg out of the mud, studying the gluggy sludge that covered his boot now. He wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible. Rior was not one for mud.

"How long till we reach Cleyra?" He said impatiently.

Lan Ester: Fossil Roo Entrance Mist side

"Ew...this is... disgusting!! Where are we?"

Lan pulled out the map and took a quick look. After looking at the map, Lan smiled and put the map away.

"How long till we reach Cleyra?"

"Qu's Marsh in the Mist. Let's head north until we reach that Grotto. After we go though the Grotto, we are then within walking distance of Clerya. Woah!" Lan muttered before falling face first into the mud. Lifting himself out of the mud, Lan spat out the mud and groaned.

"I'll be happy to get out of this marsh." Lan muttered as he took off the green robe and shoved the robe into his bag. Under the robe, Lan's purple sleeveless shirt and pants stood out as the image of Terra and Gaia stood out as well as his tail now stood in full view. After making sure his bag was sealed tight, Lan pulled out his Cat Claw and started walking north while cutting the tall grass down.

General Gisale

"I see..." Gisale said, as the sound of thunder was heard. The Enterprise is flying into a thunderstorm, a strange occurrence, considering that the weather did not call for such a scenario. She looked back for a bit, and noticed the uncertainty in Alleria. A knight must not be uncertain in what her objective is. While she is certain in what her goals are, there is more to being a better swordsman than by simply challenging and besting others in battle.

Then there was Annelise, she was considered, even by her colleagues in the Academy to be a skilled warrior, a child prodigy along the veins of Lady Beatrix herself. But she was an uncertain soul, always unsure of herself, and pushing herself far too much to get the approval of her comrades. That child needs to know that she must not try to please others, but please herself. It probably was her fault for instilling this in her, but perhaps this was fate.

After Gisale as done reminiscing she turned to face Alleria, walking towards her as she began to head inside, she said, "You may not realize this, but your destiny will be shared by a common bond of friendship. To take part in battles that will even come into question your purpose of life, of why you exist. How you make of it is up to you." Gisale entered the ship's interior to prepare to meditate in private, what she said was true. Even she herself had continuously asked herself that question, what was her place in this world, especially a world like this, a place far away from home...

----
Annelise Steiner

"Home again, home again, jiggity-jig."

"You seem to be in a good mood..." Anne said as she moved to the wall, where there was a roof big enough to protect her from the rain. While she enjoyed the rain, it was only a matter of time before she too would get her clothes soaked in the rain, and that made her feel a bit uncomfortable. "I wouldn't mind a Burmecian Rain Coat right about now." Annelise jested a bit.

But at least now the entire mist continent is unified as allies, so even if they manage to take Cleyra, we should be able to push them out and hopefully put an end to this war before it gets any worse."

War...what was the point of it? Even though Robert was probably right, a lot of people, even the King and Queen was worried. Her parents always said that war was a terrible thing to witness, much less to take an active part in. For someone to take another's life was a part of being a soldier. But why attack the Mist Continent, especially from a land like Oeilvert, across a vast Ocean... That she did not fully understand.

"If we are going to make a stop in Burmecia, my brothers run a blacksmithy and synth shop in town. It wouldn't be a bad idea to make sure everyone is primed up, and coordinate our offense with King Puck so we have an entry and exit strategy."

"Thanks, but I think the General has everything planned out." Anne trusted General Gisale. She was her instructor after all. "Besides, if everything works out, we can do our mission and be back home by tomorrow, right?"

The Bishop

Lightning started to crackle across the ground, surging towards the staff that was firmly planted into the ground. Opening her green eyes, she slowly lifted the staff into the sky and began chanting "Lord of Lightning, Pierce the darkness with your brilliant Light, I summon you Ixion!!!" At the top of the staff, a bolt of lightning shot upwards into the sky, creating several sparks of lightning throughout the darkening clouds.

Annelise Steiner

"Ugh, Anne..." Jeanne said as she looked up in the skies. "Is it me, or is this rain getting worse?"

Anne looked out into the sky and saw the increasing frequency in lightning strikes. A bad omen perhaps?

"I'm not liking this one..."

Theme-Thunderstrike

Jeanne's sentence was cut short when they heard a loud explosion from close by. "FIIIRREEE!!!!!" One of the soldiers screamed as a bolt of Lightning Struck the deck of the Enterprise.

"What the...?" Anne and Jeanne rushed over to the bow to see a large hole in the side of the Enterprise. She saw a bolt of lightning dancing around the ship. But how? The Rolling Thunder shot out blades of air that twirled around and struck at a random Pluto Knight. He didn't react quickly enough and was quickly cut down, causing screams across the deck.

General Gisale came back on deck as she saw the carnage going on. The ship was being torn apart by...some sort of spell perhaps? Drawing her large broadsword, she said, "Stand your ground!!!" But that ended quickly when Gisale was struck by a blast of lightning directly at her chest. The female Master Swordsman fell to her knees, panting heavily as Ixion now took form on the stern of the ship, charging a burst of energy in its horn. After the energy took the form of an orb, Ixion shot the orb directly at the back of the ship, destroying the entire rear of the ship, damaging the engine and disabling 3 of the 4 propellers.

As the Enterprise descended towards the surface, Anne quickly grabbed hold of something. Gisale was sent flying back to the inside, hanging on to a wooden railing. As Anne looked ahead, she saw a series of mountains coming into view. The warrior braced for impact as the Enterprise landed into the rocks, her body jerked back as the ship was torn apart by the sharp rock, to the point where the wooden railing broke off, and Anne was thrown overboard, fortunately landing on a patch of snow, but the impact knocking her out.

The Enterprise stopped not too far off, the remains overlooking the plains that separated Burmecia and Cleyra.

Theme-The Remains of the Enterprise

Annelise started to stir, slowly picking herself up from off the ground. As she got up, her arm and leg started to hurt.

Concentrating her magic on her left arm, she began to use her white magic to cure the injuries first on her left arm. The lacerations began closing up but it was not enough to fully heal as of yet. Anne began to do the same on her right leg, stopping to focus the spell on her leg. Like the arm, there were a few cuts and bruises, one of them a deep cut, serious but not life threatening. Using her healing magic, Anne's wounds starting to close up, but it did not close all the wounds, and her leg still hurt. Paying no mind to that, she muttered to herself. "Oh god, I hope everyone is okay..."

With that, Anne began limping over to the wreckage of the Enterprise, looking to see if there are any survivors.

(OOC: For all player characters onboard the Enterprise, simply RP telling how you've managed to survive the attack and the crash near the Burmecian Mountains.)
