Would it be possible to remove restrictions on rep? Having to rep x members before you can rep someone again seems to be unnecessary and can lead to repping other people just so that you can rep someone else again.
Surely we can be trusted to be responsible?

I agree with this. And the whole too much rep in 24 hours thing can be a bit of a pain too. If you don't trust us enough to remove the limit, it would be nice if there was at least an increase in the amount of rep we could give out.

I agree that this is very annoying. It should be removed as long as people dont rep the same person for no reason too much in the last 24 hours is the most annoying

I wouldn't mind getting this changed either I mean, I guess I understand the reasoning but, What happens if you just happen to like more then one post of their's? It would be nice if you could at least bump up the limit that you can give instead of waiting you know?

Even though it's a seemingly pointless feature now with the ridiculous amounts of rep everyone has, it is still cool to have the comments people make on which posts of yours they like.

There still has to be come sort of control over the system so there will be limits, just looser ones for a test run to see how it goes. It doesn't have to do with really trust factor, it's more of the potential of certain people ruining a decent feature.

Currently I'll chance the amount of rep you can give out in a day to 10 instead of only 5 per day. As for "how many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again", instead of repping 10 people before repping the same person again, it is now set to 2.

We won't go to extremes and give infinite amount of rep abilities, but we'll be pretty loose on it, because overall, it is all for fun.

I am someone who rarely reps to be honest, so although it has already been done, I do agree with this. I rep rarely, usually on GFX requests for me, that I rarely do, and if not in the RP section for spectacular posts and bios. Rep from me is special, unless it is my random rep I give once every 6 months

The rep sytem seems to be pretty pointless nowadays in terms of actual meaning....not that it ever had any but you all know what i mean.

I'd have to agree. I wanted to give someone rep but was told I could not because I had to give more people rep. So I just gave random old members rep so I could do so. Then I had to wait 24 hours. But I think moving it down to 2 is better.

I agree with the mass majority of posters in this thread, I went a long time of wanting to rep someone for something, but always get stopped because of not having repped enough other people.

It's not like I went around repping multiple people a day, though I've been being extra nice lately, because I am in a very good mood, got Final Fantasy XIII, lovin' it, and things are just going really well for me.

But yeah, I think the changes made will be good, maybe now I can do what I mentioned earlier in the post, don't think I ever was able to rep that one person I wanted to. X_x
