Multiple Platforms Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

I never played and bought Red Dead Redemption but I have just bought Undead Nightmare. I was never a fan of Westerns (Cowboys etc.) so I didnt buy the game, but I did buy this expansion because I freeking love zombies.

Now what me really made me buy this game was the fact its standalone so I dont need the original to play it and it was only 25 bucks.

I was going to make a thread about this yesterday, but I forgot.

I bought the original a while back, because I thought it was going to be a little different then it was. It was fun though, and I enjoyed it for a time.

When I saw that Undead Nightmare was coming to stores I was all "OMFG! I have to get that! ZOMBIES!~" An so forth.

So yeah, main reason I got it was for the Zombies.
Easy game, at most parts. I hate the zombie wild animals tough, like the wolves and Mountain Lions. Dx

Anyway. Yeah. Love it. Oh, and I have War(I believe.) the Fire Horse of the Apocalypse. that thing kicks ass. XD

I don't have PSN though... so I can't co-op with you. Dx

I thought you had to have RDR to play Undead Nightmare. I was gonna buy it, but I already traded in RDR for something else, so I thought I would have to have RDR to play it.

I thought you had to have RDR to play Undead Nightmare. I was gonna buy it, but I already traded in RDR for something else, so I thought I would have to have RDR to play it.

My colleague told me you dont need the original to play it I was like WHAT? Oh yeah I went and bought it asap.

I also have this game (as DLC pack for me), and I enjoyed / enjoy it a lot.

All four Horses of the Apocalypse are available to be lassoed, broke and become your loyal steed. I think they are gone forever if you kill them though. War got clawed off a cliff by an undead bear on my playthrough. I tumbled with it but oddly didn't die because I landed on it (I'm guessing).


Chupacabra, sasquatches, and even unicorns also make an appearance as easter eggs / mounts / monsters to hut and admire.

If ever you want to play it online (and if I am online on my PSN) then don't hesitate to ask. It's really fun online.

I cant even get close enough to mount it

Taming horses is a hard task even in the original game, but it is even trickier with the mythical horses (especially with zombies chasing after you at the same time). You can find a creature again if it escapes you, but you may have to wait a while.

I'm not sure if you can find one again if you kill it after mounting it though. I haven't seen War, Pestilence, Famine or Death after each of these horses died for me, but I haven't been wandering around searching for them either.


Also... Good games the other night. We did quite well together. The trick (which we were doing anyway) is to defend each other while someone grabs the ammo from the coffin, and this also stops the timer / adds time to the timer so that we can avoid Sudden Death for a while.

If we find ourselves surrounded by loads of them, a good thing to do would be to climb onto a roof, throw bait to attract them all to a single spot, and then blast them to hell with a barrage of dynamite and holy water.

Yeah Argor that was fun as hell man, sorry btw my mother unplugged my wireless router, thats why I disappeared suddenly xD had to work anyways the next day haha..

Now let me say what Ive been through with RDR Undead Nightmare:

I decided to let the last Sasquatch live....later when I was riding on me horse HEEYA!
I saw it again .....I was chasing it it said Please dont hurt me, we are peacefull creatures...I got my lasso and reeled that baby in !
but i did not hurt it...then it stood still.....then it followed me
So epic !!....I got back on me horse and then it ran away.....

Only it ran right into 3-4 zombies.....it got attacked...I wanted to save him but he died.... LMAO

I was prancing with my WAR horse fell off a cliff and it died
Used a earlier save and later I whistled it to me, but I was near water ....but it did not die or anything when I saw it last...
I whistled when I was 20 meters away...a plain horse returned to me
I think it drowned

I finally got Pestilence but I decided I wanted to keep WAR...WAR is so beautiful...amazing..I got back on WAr (which was still in the neighbourhood when I captured Pestilence) and let Pestilence follow me... I wanted to tie them both @ John Marston's stable... I saved but it disappeared
...bummer I cant keep both..

Only when i finish the story I hopefully get all 4 of them

I saw this in Gamestop recently and I wasn't sure if it was an add-on or stand alone. I have the original RDR anyway so I'm wondering if it's cheaper to get the DLC on PSN.

I'll probably get it soon though. I like killing zombies.

I have it for the PS3. I got it before there was ever the disc form? I just downloaded it from the PSS and there ya have it (for me, it was only $10) I really enjoyed RDR itself so, why not get undead? I found time to finish it and i must say, it was good.

Though $25? I mean it's not really all that long imo

It is.

I think it is actually impossible to beat, though I'm not sure on that. I think the rounds just keep going and going, until you run out of time / die. It's very fun though and well worth a try. It's better with a full team of players though. With two people you'll die much easier and find it harder to defend one another.
