she is my favorite female character
i loved her character because of her personality
i thought she was funny,strong,caring,gentle,and very kind
but with a hint of a bad attitude and a hint of jealousy towards zidane when he flirts lmao.She also has a beautiful voice =] she was naive in the first part and she did depend on others but tried to hide it with thinking she had to do things on her own even throughout every bad thing that has happened to her she still stayed strong and thought postive she lost both mothers and father, both of her homes were destroyed her summons was a curse and most of her life was a lie but she still stayed strong, and all of that didnt make her into a selfish cold character.She tried to fit in with everyone else which i thought was cute and it made me laugh. plus unlike any other princess or queen she didnt mind being around bandits theifs or peasents and really didnt judge..until it came to her love of zidane. she was a very unselfish character and i thought she was a beautiful character (no homo) i wish she would get more attention. i dont see anything wrong with her a lot of people i know hate her with a passion lmao

Well she not my fav but she does have a great personality and doesnt judge people of how they appear so i bet she is a great princess to rule.
 
One of my favorite characters. I've used her as healer on all my playthroughs. She's a great person and fitting to be a queen. Of course I was a little annoyed when she put that damn sleeping weed and broke my favorite party up but meh, had to happen I guess.

I liked Princess Garnet. A lot of other female leads in the FF series typically seem to be stereotypically ditzy or weak, Garnet isn't. She's a very strong willed and intelligent character. She isn't hardass but she doesn't put up with bullshit either. I think she was actually more of the team's leader than Zidane was, to be honest. If Square really wants to promote women's rights in games, they'd do better to make more characters like her than the three meatheads from YRP.
 
I adore Garnet. Not only was she a sweetheart, but she had attitude as well. She had such strong ambition and determination. Sure, she had some low points, but she easily got out of them. Since Zidane was there for her. ;D (Lucky girl.)

haha i like yuna and rikku..but the YRP reminded me of the really preppy whores..who are airheads that we have in this world
i mean they should've kept the way they were from FFX

also yeah i always thought Garnet was bascially the main character
i mean come on!! almost EVERY FMV has her in it
and BASICALLY NONE for zidane..thats why theres barely any amvs with him cause he didnt get any screen time
the story was revolved all around Garnet until the very end
so why not make her the main?!?
 
Garnet was indeed a beautiful and strong-willed character in my eyes. I really love that type of trait - not whiny or bubbly, which can be annoying sometimes. She's kinda calm and mature for her age, yet possess that stubborn streak at the same time. Whenever I look at her character, I see a wise female and intelligence in her eyes - just like the way she seems to stare at a distance and you wonder what goes on in her mind. Truly a lovely character. I kinda didn't like how she lost her voice though, and for awhile there was total silence from her. I missed her talking to everyone, but then again if one looks at it in a positive way, her silence actually set her apart from the rest, I think. She couldn't talk, and that made her all the more intriguing to me despite that I really wanted to see more from her.
 
Holy cow. I've never seen anyone post like that before in my life...

Garnet's awesome. I think she is one of the strongest female characters in the FF series. She starts out with everything in life being giving to her as she is raised through royalty, but we later learn of her birth and early childhood and her orphanization (not a word, I know), and how she was forced into an identity that is not her own.

Garnet, being curious as she is, flees to set out on her own and discover her true self in the midst of corruption in her family and across the world and even in another world (Terra).
 
Garnet was and still is my favorite FF heroine. I can't add anything to what's already been said, really.

she didnt actually lose her voice..she faked it cause she really didnt want anyone to bother her..or pity her for all she had lost at the time

I think I'll happily regard her as one of the strongest character, being able to summon Ark, the strongest eidolon....

Furthermore, I've always included her in my party whenever possible, so i suppose I'll like her better.
 
I liked her, shes probadly one of my favourite female characters in FF.
She was a strong character, never whiney. She escapes from her castle, has bounty hunters after her, witnesses the destruction of her uncles kingdom at the hands of her own mother AND then holds her mother in her arms as the fat cow dies. Yet she pulls through and becomes the queen of her country.
Zidane was the perfect love interest for her too watcing him get shot down was so funny.
 
i actually kinda liked eiko better cuz of her story, the loneliness part i can relate. But as a character she wasnt as good as Dagger, Dagger is a good summoner
 
I really like her character. All the FFIX characters are simple on one hand but because they tend to represent something quite fundamental in human nature, have more depth to them if you look for it. I agree with the people commenting on her maturity. A running joke in FFIX was Steiner's over-protectiveness of her - he always comes across as very well-meaning but actually more immature than her; a girl half his age. I also found her position to be sad and moving without being emo or angsty; Squall could take some tips from her.
 
I really likd Garnets character, I hadn't really thought about it much til reading this thread really, but she is actually really well developed and isn't your typical damsel in distress which makes a nice change. She is probably one of my favourite female FF characters of all time really :gasp:

haha yaay yeah that made me like her alot
though she was queen she was different
 
I happen to like Garnet as a character, not only is she amazingly powerful (once you get her Eidolon's back) but she is a really good healer, granted
she looses her voice close to the start of Disk 3 and looses her concentration in battle alot
But she is still an amazingly good character, and is one of my best FF characters ever.
 
I liked her although i was more of a Zidane fan, but yeah Garnet was a stong character and with her summons that made her more so, but all in all i wouldn't rank her up there with the strongest FF characters although she is probs my fave summoner out of FF.
 
I really like Princess Garnet I find her really cute. Garnet was a strong summoner and one of my fav ff summoners but The most thing I like about her is her cuteness lol.
 
Did anybody know that before Garnet ended up in Alexandria her birth name was Sarah..

Thats a pretty cool fact.

The reason she became princess was because Brahne had a daughter named Garnet who died and when the Garnet we know turned up in Alexandria she looked remarkably like the original Garnet but had a horn, so Brahne insisted her horn be removed and that she adopts the Garnet we know..
