Some new Final Fantasy XIII footage has surfaced from a Japanese TV show aired today showing Vanille and Sazh take on Brunhilde, Sazh's summon.

The video shows Brunhilde emerge from Sazh for the first time before engaging in a fight with the pair.

A second, short clip has been added as well.

Gosh darn commentary mucking up what should have been an epic scene! Dx

But really, looks kewl. I definitely say that was spoiler-ish, but at the same time, still not too clear on what exactly happened...

But for the umpteenth time I say, "I want this game, NAO! :gasp:"

The first one was just amazing, perhaps the most beautiful CGI and the most emotional piece shown yet, it really felt like something out of a movie and will probabaly be one of the most memorable scenes yet. If anything, I mean they could just have advertised this to win many customers over with its beautiful friendship (though slightly suicidal) feeling and the movie like CGI. Plus, I'm a fan of supporting protagonists, and this just makes me love them even more in a Final Fantasy game.

Even as such a short clip that's one of the best I've seen, I'm going to presume that that's going to happy to all six l'cie members then. No one believed me when I said they're probably going to have to battle the Eidolon's rather than have them simply given to them :sad3:

The second one needs translating mind, it doesn't seem to give much simply through the video :hmmm:

Interesting footage. I'm really looking forward to the translations when they may come :gasp: The first footage really got my attention, though. I wanna find out what exactly goes down, and if it is before or after that scene where Sazh holds his gun to Vanille :hmmm:

Cheers for the footage!

Aww, you know I believed you, Ryan! ^_^

So the video confirms that we'll have to fight the Eidolons first before acquiring them- which is an aspect I don't mind having at all. I wonder if there might be hidden Eidolons :hmmm:

I just hope the Eidolons don't turn out like FFXII's Espers- where they seem powerful when you fight them, and then underpowered and hard to use when you gain them.

Get in! :gasp:
I don't mind it either to be honest, I liked having to fight the Espers in FFXII in order to use them so it's another plus point to the game imo, hopefully they'll be quite challenging.

Has "Trophy" written all over it mind. :wacky:

Ha ha. :D You're obviously excited about this footage. It's showing in your posts! :brooding:

Anyway I'm glad I saw that. It's probably after the scenes we have seen before with Vanille and Sazh having a bit of an argument.

Good that it'll form part of a boss battle. I just hope the summons themselves are good when summoned as well as they are when you fight them.

Absolutely. The suddenly-underpowered Espers in FFXII was what made me forget about their existence completely. It was just disappointing to see even Ultima- a rather challenging optional boss become an ally that is so difficult to use the finishing attack- or to stay alive in battle.

I have hope in the Gestalt form of the Eidolons and the crazy numbers flying into the air during the battles of trailers and advertisements.

Wow the first clip with Sazh and Brunhildyr was so fucking awesome! So does this mean we will have to fight our own summons? I love that so that means we will have to fight Odin at some point in the begining right? Anyway this is so awesome. The second clip was ummm Yaag revealing his weapon.

Yeah that certainly looks as if it's going to be like that, especially towards the end of the video where Sazh and Vanille take it on. They must be separated from Lightning somewhere along the way as well then considering there's only two of them :hmmm:
