"UGH? Say what?!"

I feel that everyone on the forum has one of these moments and for me it is in FFIX. I am sitting there at the end of the game going to fight Kuja once more and you defeat him. I was like "Well that is that for FFIX....ugh?" and
it cuts to all your party laying on a rock and it tilts up to show Necron. That was my moment when I was utterly confused on his existence in the game and just spontaneously popping up at the end all like "Hey guys what is up? I am totally going to kick your ass now...." I put my controller down and tried to re-imagine the entire story and didn't see any connection or mention of this godly being.
Well that's my moment....what is yours?

Oh yes,

The FF9 ending with

All the random Vivis appearing out of nowhere. Supposedly fans believe that he went to Dali and spawned more creatures with the mist but idk.

:thehell:

Kujas outfit would be for me, i tough it was sexy because i tought he was a she then i heard that she is a he i said to myself "WTF i have to get it rid from my mind".

I agree with @.Mosh - it was pretty darn random to see Necron at the end! I was like... "Did I miss something? o_O;"

One of my earliest confused FF moments was at the end of FFVII...

...when Red XIII/Nanaki was running with a bunch of lion babies. Who the heck did he mate with?! 'cause I could've sworn he was the last of his species. Otherwise, they should've been lying around Cosmo Canyon wagging their tails. xD

Y'think hundreds of years later they cloned him? :gasp:

Mmmm.

I would have to agree with the FFX comment, although a more fitting confused "lolwut" moment for me was in FFX-2 when Leblanc gets that creepy massage from Yuna (fan service at its worst)

To me, that was more of a scrub my eyes out and then cry in a corner type moment.

Uh...all of XIII and XIII-2? Especially the latter. Neither of those games make ANY sense whatsoever.

The Lunar Cry in FFVIII, as well. That was just...very random. Once monsters have achieved complete global saturation of the Moon, they randomly decide to fall to the earth? There are so many things wrong with that. But then, FFVIII went from a reasonably understandable and interesting story to complete batshit insane after the first disc...if Squall dies, that would explain an awful lot.

The final battle against Seymour in FFX, as well, although that was more an "UGH, say what?!" of disappointment than it was of confusion. They totally wrecked him in that fight; gone is the calm and composed aristocrat I adored. In his place was just another dull psychopath.

Oh, your post reminded me of FFVIII:

We all actually grew up together.......we just don't remember it. Why don't we remember it? I don't know......the Guardian Forces, I guess? Yeah, that explains it

:ffs:

Story telling at it's worst.

The laughing scene in FFX. It made me go UGH WTF and also made me want to cry with embarrassment.

The end of FFXIII-2. :hmph: Fuck you, Square Enix.

I would also have to agree about FFIX. The whole Necron shit made me lolwut.

Also, FFXII. Not so much the story, just people's motivation to even be a part of it in general. Especially Vaan. "LOL I WANT TO BE A SKY PIRATE" doesn't cut it as a reason for the entire game.
