Plan to get a Genesis. Any recommendations?

There was a Sega Genesis at my local GameCrazy for $14. I plan to get it, but I'm rusty on what good games there were and what to avoid like the plague. As for my tastes, I'm a fan of platformers, fighting games, RPGS, adventure-action. I'm not a huge fan of racing games, sports games and RTS games. Please and thank you.

These are probadly the greatest RPG games ever made, so if u can seriously buy these.

A coupla classics that I liked were Sonic Spinball and Altered Beast. I never really was a huge fan of Sega so I didn't really play many games for it. However the Sega Saturn was far better and had way better games. Try to get one of those.

Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat 2. Also Sonic 2. Saturday night slam masters is also good.

Street Fighter games (always a classic), as well as Sonic and Knuckles. Virtura Fighter was okay, but it got old after so many plays.

Gee, I forgot those games that I played years ago...but those titles are the ones that I can remember for now.

Oh, man! Altered Beast was the SHIT! That's some classic stuff. Go for Golden Axe if you can find it, too. Jesus Christ, what I wouldn't do to find a good working Genesis console and even just those two games alone to go along with it.

When i by no means to be real a tremendous enthusiast involving Sega so i decided not to truly play several game titles correctly. Even so the Sega Saturn has been far better and had method much better game titles. Make an effort to receive one of those.

Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, Sonic and Knuckles and Spinball. The classic and best period of the franchise. Comix Zone, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Altered Beast are also pretty good games.
