You know what this place needs? A section dedicated to all things paranormal. :mokken:

We could place it in Midgar. I often want to make a paranormal kind of thread in the general section, but it just feels out of place, so I don't. Paranormal could be seen as a form of entertainment, so I figured that would be a good place for a paranormal section.

Just an idea, I doubt it gets passed though. :wacky:

What do you guys think? Ready to break out the tinfoil hats?
 
I wouldn't mind a thread dedicated for all things paranormal. In fact, to think that we are alone by now is an act of arrogance coming from humanity. On a side note, I don't think a section would do. We've had discussions concerning ghosts and other kinds of sightings before in the General Discussion section.
 
Really? Didn't know that. I hadn't seen one. Meh, I'll probably just start making more Paranormal threads in there. Thanks for the heads up, and the interest, Dean. :grin:
 
I agree to having this Section installed on the forums I agree with what Dean Said We are not alone in the world there are Various Supernatural things living with us (Mostly Ghosts xD)

I would love to see a section like this in the forums somewhere so Im for it!
 
While I like the idea, I don't really think that there will be enough to warrant a sub-section of its own. There may be one or two paranormal-related discussion threads already here somewhere and in general the topic of the paranormal in itself is rarely discussed at the moment. Perhaps a new sub-section may inspire more people to discuss and report on the topic or maybe not, but we're usually not exactly too keen on adding in new sections unless it's really necessary. Paranormal threads can still be made in Midgar - perhaps stickied if popular enough - but at the moment I don't see a strong enough case for its own section unfortunately.
 
Honestly, of all the topics I love to talk about, the paranormal/supernatural always remains a big item. I've been in many situations trying to "play with fire"....my cousins even used a Quija Board once (I wasn't present...sadly).

Maybe we could have a club, or a thread, and have discussions pertaining to ghosts, maybe extraterrestrial life sightings, and whatnot.

I've been looking for "supposedly" haunted house, haven't been lucky yet. Actually, the more scared I get, the more fun I have.

Among the possible topics:
-Demonology
-Paranormal Activities (Not the films)
-Films about paranormal sightings, and whatnot
-The Key of Solomon (The Lesser Key of Solomon in particular)
-Aliens
-Links between Ancient and Modern Mythology (Because modern religions will eventually become a myth as well)
-Dream Interpretations

A sticky thread will do for now. :awesome:
 
I will lean more towards Dean's suggestion of just having a sticky thread, and decline the option of creating a whole section dedicated to just paranormal topics. If a news section can't even be created, what chance does a whole board on paranomal activity have? In the end, it's not really a big deal and it can always be argued that it will help organization in Midgar, but personally I haven't seen tons and tons of threads tagged 'paranormal' to warrant the creation of a sub-section, to be quite honest.
 
I'd definitely be interested in some discussion regarding such things, but preferably across a number of different threads. I can foresee it being a tad awkward to have one huge thread touching on a variety of semi-related topics.
