Oppression: Sign-up and Discussion

Hmmm...ill have her rooftop running, protecting a parcel. See's you two fighting and begins legging it as it comes closer.

and she's done. As I said, I'll include her history as it gets revealed in the roleplay.

So there we have her. :3

Cool. The fight's over now but just timeline it approriately. It should be OK.

And villain the third is approved.

I suppose Life and Death would settle laregely around healing and some variation of dark magic. A kind of balance between Light and Darkness

Knowledge and Wisdom would probably be more practical than combat oriented, though you could still have the basic augments and flight.

And the Void would probably centre around teleportation and dimensional stuff? Could you give me a small example of this? Thanks for your patience.

I'll take Void. I'll explain more once I post the bio in which I am working now.

Edit, here's the bio. Took me around an hour or two to had it ready...late at night when I had peace and solitude.

Character Name: Nathan Scot Kilmer

Alignment: Unknown

Gender: Male

Age: 26 in earth years of 365 days and 24 hours.

Race: Homo Sapiens-Sapiens (Human in earthling terms)/Elemental Being
Elemental Beings are a race of powerful beings thought only to exist in legends. Averagely, an elemental beings behaviour depends from one elemental attribute to another. The elemental attribute of the Void makes a host lack any kind of emotions, depending on how consumed a host is by such power. Nathan is capable of feeling, yet he is always in constant struggle with his innate powers.

Political Views: Republican

Birthplace: Washington, District of Columbia (or D.C. for short).

Birthday: December 12 (Year unknown)

Profession: Business Man (Undercover Hitman)

(Human) Appearance:
Nathan is man in his mid twenties, around 6’ 11 in height and weighing 175 lbs approximately. He has short dark brunette hair with blonde highlights worn in a trendy tuxedo with spikes hairstyle. He has average Caucasian hazel eyes with (slightly arced) horizontal dark brown eyebrows.

Nathan’s jaw is oval shaped, his nose is straight and small, his lips are small as well and he has small round ears. His lips are thin and small, and he has a nearly invisible scruffy beard which he has to shave every now and then.
His build is slightly athletic, averagely toned, with white skin and a smooth complexion. Nathan always has this serious, dominating look on his face which is well complemented by his facial features. His shoe size is around 10 and a half (US), which he is quite pleased to have (Nathan was never a fan of the Big Foot kind of people…). Nathan also has thin fingers with neatly and well kept fingernails (he is a business man after all).

Attire:
Nathan has a notable preference for formal wear at almost all times. His formal wear preference is a black lounge suit (the fabric of his suit is classified as S or choice wool). First we have the black single breasted jacket which he keeps buttoned at all times (this coat has a peaked lapel, button holes on the lapels for decorative emblems, and two inner and two outer pockets and one ticket pocket above left pocket in which he keeps a simple silver pen inside. With this he wears a black half-Windsor knot (a necktie with the only difference that produces a triangular knot that the original Windsor knot necktie lacks). Next he has a simple white collar shirt and a black waistcoat which has two pockets, three silver buttons (which have the image of a lion engraved on their surface), and a silver pocket watch which he keeps on his left pocket (the pocket watch is simple in design, with only the engraving of a hawk and a snake fighting on the surface of one of the sides, inside the watch we have the picture of his family on one side and a clock with roman numbers on the other). The waist coat is single breasted, and it has silver vertical lines going from top to bottom.

Below his waist we have a matching black trouser which is made of the same fabric of the jacket and the waistcoat. This trouser has several belt loops, two pockets, a pleat and a fly, and is made to fit Nathan giving him a neat and elegant slim appearance. He also wears a black leather belt (the buckle of the belt is rectangular in shape, with a small lion engraved on middle. Nathan’s socks also match the trouser colour and are quite comfortable with his black Gibson shoes. Finally, since Nathan’s suit was made by a tailor to fit his size without restricting movement, he will have little problem with movement in most situations (but sure will be pissed if you ruin his suit).

Strength/Speed:
Nathan can lift around three times his size and weight (mostly thank to the power of "The Void") above his shoulders and also capable of tossing someone around his weight meters away with relative ease (depends on his opponent’s build, size, weight and strength). He has quite an amount of brute strength, able to break through hard wooden structures (walls, tables, and most wood based furniture) with his fists and legs however; he is quite slow when not recurring to any of his teleportation methods. Nathan can only run around 24 mph for a set time of 1 hour without rest (because his human size does gets exhausted).

Reflexes:
Nathan’s human reflexes are higher than the average. He is able to dodge most projectiles (the bigger, the easier) with relative ease though not the ones coming from guns at point blank range (if they are around 6 feet away from him, he could dodge them). He is also capable of reacting to attacks in split of seconds so long as his hearing and sight are not affected (exhaustion also affects reaction time).

Stamina:
Nathan’s stamina is also greatly enhanced due to his innate elemental power. Unfortunately for Nathan, the limitations of his constant struggle with his powers still weight on him. Even though he can last longer than the average human at top strength in battle, Nathan needs to take a rest after fighting for 2 consecutive hours or take short rests if allowed in the middle of the fight. Naturally, taking hits reduce the amount of time he can be in battle, so the more hits he takes, the more his max battle time will be reduced. Also if the strength of the attack is powerful enough, Nathan can be knocked out or forced to withdraw.

Vitality/Endurance:
Nathan has a high resistance against physical and magical attacks. However, this does not make him impervious to any kind of assault. Constant beating should wear a considerate toll on his body depending on the strength of his adversary. He can be cut, get bruised, and knocked out by either physical or magical means, though these wouldn’t normally kill him (again, this depends on the strength of the attack). A well aimed punch to the stomach would slightly make him lose some air and cough while a punch to his face would piss him off if you don’t knock him out.

Abilities:
Nathan has a vast array of abilities thanks to his innate elemental power. He can concentrate a dense amount of energy in the form of either flaming, electrical, light and dark spheres like projectiles which he can quickly hurled at his opponents with a deadly accuracy. The projectiles would violently explode upon contact and can be created in a variety of shapes and sizes (the bigger and more complex, the higher amount of energy required to be created). Nathan can create a maximum of 10 of these magical projectiles per battle if they are around the size of his fist, 5 if they are as big as his torso and 1 giant energy sphere if it is bigger than 65% of his body. Even though he can mimic most of the both fire and electrical energies, his specialty focuses on his high resistance against dark and light attributes. With his dark magic he can teleport in a way of fading out into invisibility off the scene or disappear in a burst of flames (to make more presence). His light magic allows him to track down and sense other beings, absorb powers from other demons, and some kind of immortality (associated with longevity, not invulnerability unless he absorbs the invulnerability from another slain being). Nathan can also conjure weapons out of nowhere with his dark magic which disappear at will. The array of weapons he can summon goes from both long and small melee weapons, though he prefers daggers since they are easier to hide when he is about to assassinate a target. Nathan also has vast knowledge when it comes to demons and other mythical beings which he uses to his advantage in battle. Finally, his crystallized form (the form his body structure takes when either vanquished, sealed, or unleashed) is that of mixture of light, dark and crimson (if unleashed, he will appear like a humanoid stone golem with dark fire emanating from his eyes).

In general, when it comes to energy consumption, the more spells he casts the less time he will be able to stay in battle. For every five spells he casts, the maximum amount of time he can be in battle is reduced by 30 minutes as well as for every 40 punches he launches at his opponent, the amount of time is reduced by 15 minutes (but increased by 10 minutes for every 5 minutes he rests so the key here is not giving him a chance to rest). If Nathan notices the battle is not going in his favor, he will either try desperately attempt to place the odds to his favor or flee.

Behavior/First Impression:
Nathan has a very firm and unyielding behavior yet very polite and adequate to the ambient he is used to be. He is arrogant, slightly narcissist, can be very vengeful at times, eccentric at others, and quite aggressive (especially in battles and in his demon form). The sight of his own blood shocks him more than hurting, and he has a terrible impulse for buying expensive clothing, more suits than anything else in general. When first met, he can be considered quite a quiet and serious person who is usually found around exclusive bars and clubs scattered through the city he is residing at the moment. He also has a fondness for manipulating things to his benefit using both legal and illegal terms, had recurred to blackmailing a few times and assassinating on others. In summary, Nathan’s behavior can be summarized in one sentence; he always gets what he wants and gets the job done, one way or another.

History:
Nathan was born on a dark night of December 12, though he isn't sure about what exact year any more (he is rumoured to have been around a hundred years by now). He is the son of Brian Nathan Kilmer and Lucretia Alfieri, his father being the source of his elemental heritage and his mother the human. His was raised by his father in the human world as a renown business man owner, member of a wealthy group of investors (other dark elemental beings too) who have helped move the economy around the country since 1789. In fact, it was Nathan’s father as well as his associates who gave economical support to the rebels in their war against the British. Brian did love is human spouse, yet he couldn’t bear the knowledge of losing her, a fear made reality when, in 1823, Lucretia was murdered in her state house during an attack lead by a hired gun. From then on Nathan’s father had to raise him alone. Over time, Nathan learnt the skills of his father and became a renowned business man himself as well, even taking his place when his father was vanquished by a group of elemental hunters during an ambush. Nathan learnt most of his abilities from his father, naturally, as well as from the other elemental beings which were members of the group that controlled the economy of what would be known as the United States of America, after the rebels managed to defeat and force the British to withdraw. Over the years, Nathan has taken several identities, posing as his own son, grandson, and great-grandson and so on since he hasn’t married yet. To this day, Nathan is has assets in five different companies (going from pharmaceuticals to construction companies), owner of at least one of them and has amassed quite a fortune yet no luck in love.

OK. Demons aren't really a part of this RP. Those with powers attain them naturally. In other words, they were dormant in the body since birth.

Aside from that, it seems like a great character, and I'm fine with his abilities. If you can just alter your bio a little to take out the demonic sides, I'd be happy. Again, sorry for the pickiness.

It's really a fantastic bio, and if you edit out those demon bits, I'll be delighted to accept him. But the story revolves around humanity and their free will and choices, as opposed to outside influence.

i just realised that everyone's intro post is ridiculously detailed and long. Seems like a high standards of posting has been set...

I replaced demons for elemental beings and cut/adjusted a few areas. I infer that elemental beings are just like humans except that elementals are more in contact with the Elements (Periodic Table much?) of nature.

The Power of Void is what makes him a ruthless bastard sometimes yet he is still in constant struggle of not letting his abilities to control them (following the line "Power can corrupt, absolute power corrupts even more...").

As for Typsi....I don't plan on making a post THAT long. If I do, I suggest we keep a slow pace since it takes time to read carefully post by post.

You don't have to worry, Tipsy. I'm not gonna force anyone to post more than they feel is necessary. So long as you stick to the five line minimum, there won't be an issue.

And approved Cole. Welcome to the RP. ^_^ I'm fine with elementalism giving extended life.

It would be after midnight. Around 2am or so. Though it'll more than likely be dawn soon.

Made my post already! I tried to keep it short but all these intros are so great that I just wouldn't feel good with a short intro. My character is in a penthouse in an place called "Pierre Hotel" by the Fifth Avenue. It is past 3:30 am in my post and I already went to sleep. If anyone enters by force in my apartment, they will find me wearing my nice pyjamas. There's some vodka on the table in the living room near to the chimney if anyone's interested. ;)

I am also adding a link to my character in every post. Just in case someone wants to make some reference to his actual appearance.

That's actually a leaf I could take out of your book. :lew: Out of curiosity, are you keeping your posts in the first person throughout? Not that it's an issue, just curious XD.

Also, approved Shaun.

I won't be making all my posts too long, but I do like to add detail whenever and wherever I can. How long will we be in the early hours of the morning for by the way?

I think it's safe to move on with time as you see fit, seeing as the plot no longer relies on it being night.

Aye, I find easier to think through my character if I make it seem I am the one narrating the story. I might shift to third person at some point when interacting with other characters while including notes of Nathan's reactions.

Well I am supposed to have a meeting by 7:00 am....*RP wise...* I am still debating whether to go or to stay in bed. Hard decision...

Should we assume it is already breakfast? Dudes, remember New York's traffic is a bitch during...well all day -__-

XDD May as well go to morning then, in that case. Six or seven in the morning.

Yeah, that's the final post I intend to do in the very early hours of the morning. Then I'm going to switch right to the times you've just mentioned.
