Multiple Platforms Official Call of Duty: Black Ops Thread

Apparantly the normal version has zombie mode as well.
I have no idea what those 4 extra co op maps are for the Hardened and Prestige edition.
This means I ordered the Hardened edition for 80 bucks for nothing. :ffs:
 
Hmmm Maybe they are just special zombie maps that are only available through those editions? If it isnt then that is a huge waste of money... It has got to be different. I dodnt need to worry though I am buying regular xD
 
You get the 4 CoD: World at War zombie maps when you get the Hardened edition. You should get a code for them to enter into the redeem code thing in the PSN Store.

Anyway, I think I'll crack on with some more MP. People say it takes more bullets to kill but I seem to be getting sprayed down as soon as I turn a corner today. :sad3:
 
Ah that explains it then xD. More bullets to kill in Mp or the zombies take more bullets to kill? In Mp I imagine it takes an additional second to kill somebody :hmmm: Idk the kills are just so fast I always think they are one shot :lew:
 
Yeah, I meant in the multi player. It can be a bit frustrating sometimes because I can see someone first and still lose the gun fight by a mile. I'll get used to it eventually. -__-

I amprobably much worse than you Charlotte. I suck so bad at Cod it isnt even funny. But like I said above Ill get better. MW2 was a disaster for me :wacky: Ill still party up with you in december even though we will suck xD
 
Treyarch details upcoming updates for Black Ops PS3

Treyarch’s detailed updates that are in the pipeline for Call of Duty: Black Ops on PS3.

Community boss Josh Olin dropped the info in a post on the developer’s forums.
Upcoming updates include:
  • Improved matchmaking
  • Improved match and host selection
  • Additional improvements to party system
  • Weekly and Monthly leaderboards stats reporting incorrectly for kills, deaths and assists
Earlier, Treyarch released a patch for the PC version of Black Ops, which is for “performance improvement” reasons. There were reports there was massive lag in the game earlier this week.
After its release on Tuesday, Activision announced yesterday Black Ops was the largest entertainment launch in history, with the game taking roughly $360 million in the UK and North America in its first day on sale.
UK day one sales were at 1.4 million for day one, according to Chart-Track earlier this morning.
 
I can't wait for the party fix. It's fucking horrendous as it is now... join a party, enter a lobby and everyone disappears. Sometimes I won't let me join when I get invited either.

I'm glad Treyarch are a lot more involved with the community and fixing annoyances like that. I'm sure the sniper rifles are going to get patched as well because they're rubbish as they are now.
 
wtf is up with the nuketown spawns 8(

i was playing ffa and fucking hell i was spawning over people every single time
 
Shitty spawns is the reason I always get spawn killed every single time. Mostly in every shooter te spawns are in random shitty places. Oh well I guess in Black ops I am going to go negative in terms of kills and deaths again :hmph:
 
The kills death and assist leaderboard being broken really annoys me tbh. I admit i do like to keep track of my kills and deaths etc by checking the leaderboard so its annoying that i cant do that because its broken :hmph:
And nuketown is a ridiculous map.....on tdm its just mental. The other team will spawn right behind you and wipe you out then youl spawn rite behind them and do the same.
As much as i like the game these 2 things have put me right off it for now.

BO managed to make a match 5-6 versus 1....the one dude held his ground and stayed to finish the match on his own!! Gotta have respect for that xD

I killed him 11 times..ofcourse the highest score...but man what a humiliation...BO screwed up big time...

It was a damn fun match though hahahahaa...He was from Spain :giggle:
So sad :tehe:

Oh yeah I had mortars + napalm strike, but whaddya know I wasted them ofcourse..it wouldnt be fair to use it on one player...would miss anyway + I forgot i had them..time was up..

I cant tell you how many times I forgot about the time or the max score leaving me with my killstreaks unused...:hmph:

The chopper gunner is a beast. Everytime i get it its like a garunteed amazing game unless its in a map like summit where its just impossible to get to people.
Loving the black bird aswell <3
The party problem is still a pain though. Its weird but whenever i try to play with jimalingaling it never ever works. Everyone else its fine but with jimmer it just doesnt happen.
They really need to fix it soon -.-
 
The party problems are annoying as hell, especially since I could connect fine with Tush beforehand and then after the patch was introduced I can't get a look in. It's more annoying as well since she tends to be the host which makes it impossible to join anyone else either. They really should test patches before the decide to release them because the problems at the moment with connections are just ridiculous.
 
I second that, Ryan. It really sucks that I can't connect to you or Ewan any more :sad3:
Hopefully they'll sort it out with their next patch, and that had better be soon.

They also patched the SAM turret and sentry gun glitch, which was irritating but it had to done :sad3:
 
I'm not going to play it that much until another patch comes out. Even when I play on my own I have huge connection problems and CoD is just one of those games where you need 3-4 bars to play properly.

Well well well it seems the party problems and issues have been dealt with to a highly degree..we can make parties more swiftly now and Im loving it.

About the hosts..thats their problems they have sucky connection..lol
Still wish we could get dedicated servers...that would be heavenly..

About the Zombie Nation part ! Sometimes my mic doesnt work while it is always on..
And zombie matchmaking still is troublesome at times...

Its like they patched MP but not Zmode..

I love the Chopper Gunner :griin:

A lack of dedicated servers have always been a problem with console versions of Call of Duty. Hopefully they'll get a clue and start incorporating this for future installments, seeing as how its so popular these days.

I just got this recently, and it's not too bad overall. I royally suck at Call of Duty games, so you folks probably wouldn't want me in your party. :lew: But my lack of success has kept me from liking this game more. I have good rounds here and there, but my overall result isn't that great.

Back in the Call of Duty 4 days, the M16 was the best weapon. You could kill someone with 1 burst, and with little recoil and a red dot sight, you could basically guarantee a great game. I'm surprised how much it lacks power in this game. But then again, I never did good with the M16 in CoD4 either. :hmph:
