I'm new to this forum and would like to know what everyone thinks about a potential remake of FF7?! Not sure if that thread has been done before so sorry if i've repeated! and what do u all think of final fantasy 13? speak to u soon!

I have not heard anything about an FFVII remake, and I have yet to play FFXIII, so I can't really answer those questions.

The only thing I've heard about the PS3 VII is the tech demo that Square-Enix released at E3 in 2006. Haven't heard a word about it since then. :hmmm: and as for XIII, I've yet to play it. -__-

nah i havent heard anything about it either dont know why i said potential release lol it'd be class if they released it though, i think itd surpass the orginal providing the only thing they changed was the graphics, not the storyline, characters, names of summons etc etc, it does have so much potential!

A remake of VII would be sweet. A remake of VI would suck, just way too many characters. But I'd probably still play it. Haven't played XIII yet.

Welcome to the forums, and to answer your questions:
I personally think that VII being remade before V or VI would be a horrible injustice, because, if you think about it all the full remakes (not counting ports and such) thus far have been in order of original release. First was FFI+II on Wonderswan, then III on DS, then IV on DS. Just skipping the next two would be a dick move (not that many would notice). Then again, I have a thing against VII in general, so I guess I don't count.
...holy crap, I should have saved that for an actual VII remake topic.
As for XIII, I think it's alright, It's by no means my favorite game in the series but its battle system is cool so I can't really hate it.
 
how come you have a thing against ff7 its argubly the greatest game of all time and definetely the best ff there has been, how good would a remake be with the ff13 battle system itd be epic!
 
I'm gonna be cautious here, cuz I don't wanna start a shitstorm and this is prime shitstorm bait. All I'll say is that it's because I don't agree with the idea that "[Final Fantasy VII] is definitely the best FF" and see it far too often.

That would be your opinion... Of which I don't agree with... At all. :mokken:

I do think it'd be interesting if they remade VII, just like any other FF with pre-X graphics, so long as it doesn't detract from their ability to make lots of great new games in the series :D

everyone has their own opinion at the end of the day, but everythings better than that rubbish X-2 they released...quit possibly the worst and most cheesiest game of all time! lol
