Square Enix’s released a new batch of screenshots for the upcoming PlayStation 3 version of Star Ocean: The Last Hope International. The images are nothing special, things we’ve already seen before really. However, one noticeable small new feature is the ability to choose between the anime and CG character images.

As it’s previously been said, the PS3 version will also feature multilingual support for both voice-overs and subtitles.

PS3 version looks well better than the 360 version :ryan: Not only do the characters look less like plastic, we get the option of anime images on the bottom or CGI plus the option of Japanese voice overs. It's what M$oft deserve for trying to buy titles :ryan:

Wow these look great so far!

I've got these games on my list of things I want for Christmas so I'm rather looking forward to it. XD

The switch between the CG and Anime character images is a nice little touch to it all. =D

Thanks for posting these up!

I've had my eye on this game for a while ever since Tri-Ace announced it for the Xbox 360. I'm glad I didn't pick it up for the Xbox 360 because I've heard how you have to change disks even if you're backtracking to an earlier location to undergo sidequests. Being on one single Blu-Ray disk will be an easier prospect.

From what I heard of the English voice-acting, I wasn't too impress with it. Reimi's voice is fine, but I didn't like the others for some reason. A chance to use the Japanese voices will be interesting. It will certainly surprise members of my family when they hear it. :awesome:

Really, I thought it looked a little bit more plasticy. Maybe it's just me. (Being color blind and all.) I'm rather glad to see the PS3 owners get this game, they were missing out on such a great game.

Also, why discriminate on Xbox or PS3, they're both good systems with their high and low points. In my opinion games should be released on both systems. /mini rant

All in all, this game was awesome, and it should have been on both consoles since day one.

Sweet. I didn't know that in SO4, you could have 4 characters playing at a time, as opposed to SO3's three characters.

I've been uber excited about SO4 ever since the game was announced for the PS3. I just need to decide when to buy a PS3 xD

*is buying a PS3 almost exclusively for this game*
I'm just really looking forward to playing it again. It doesn't look much different, but the anime portraits are a nice touch.

I'm not. I own both consoles and SO:TLH on the 360, I was merely stating M$oft should think about their fanbase more and less about throwing money at titles to make them timed exclusives, which at the end of the day has backfired because the PS3 version gets added content and looks less plasticy. At the end of the day, if M$oft didn't base everything on money both versions would have had exactly the same version. :monster:
