Miley Cyrus Teaching young girls to... Lap Dance everywhere

I believe its the morales of the parents thet should teach their children better. If a parent dosent spend the adequate time to teach and talk to their child in regards to this they wont learn better.
But even now days does anyone even see what parrents dress thier kids in? last summer I seen more 4 year olds wearing micro mini skirts than I did adults at bars I cant believe they make clothing ,or the lack there of, of it so small for kids........parents should be beat imo but this is a different rant
Most teenagers myself included act/dress older than they are sometimes with bad results and in the process of mimicing as teenagers will do it becomes popular and accepted....

I don't think that's a decay, really. It's been going on since ... well ... since forever, really. Teenagers are caught in between childhood and adulthood, thus they mimic what they see as how an adult should act. So as the collective mindset of the adults changes, the actions that the teenagers are mimicing change. But the act of mimicry itself never actually changes.
 
This whole topic reminds me of when I was 16...
I had the audacity to wear fishnets with a knee length skirt and some 60 year old guy walked up to me out of the blue in broad daylight and happily told me " Its because of girls like you thet other girls get raped" ....

Im all for self exprssion and dressing/acting as one pleases its a means of learning itself, making mistakes and all that good stuff.

But at some point it is much to much and it does decay the system because as it does get accepted younger and younger girls start to act this way and dress in said fashion and then you have sheer assholes who take a form of dress or imitation(finaly remembered the word!) as acceptance of wanting to be violated.

Its not the mentality of the kids so much as the mentality of adults who dont take in to consideration of thats how younguns' mental frame works thet rob the world of an innocent thing.
 
I'm sure most kids that idolize Miley Cyrus have already seen or have participated in grinding. This was probably nothing new to them.

And Miley is still, as far as what I know, a virgin. I think that's pretty impressive considering her age and her fame. She has even publicaly talked about how she is going to wait for her husband. Time will tell if she does. And her family claims to be religious. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't she the one who started the trend in Disney stars to wear a purity ring? How is that not enough for parents that want their children to have a good role model considering other alternatives?

What I saw in the video was not at all bad and looked like a common thing you would see at a high school or junior high dance. I'm surprised that people are making a big deal out of that.

lol the thread title is also misleading. She wasn't giving a lap dance at all. I would have turned my head at that. Maybe a better title would have been Miley Cyrus teaching younger to grind everywhere?
 
Nine pages on this girl? I mean really? Sheesh. Sorry if it's a bit hard to read all of this, since I don't find much value in this debate.

Though I will lay down a couple of things in which might be beneficial, if not already been said.

1) I never thought much of anyone who came out of Disney
2) She's a celebrity because of us
3) I've seen a lot worse with celebs, call me jaded if you will
4) Lap dancing.. that's not the worst thing she's probably done to get where she is, sad to say.
5) Don't put disney stars as your role models nor any entertainer.

^ This. This is probably really true...sad but true.

I guess she could have done worse than this. But she was 16 at the time, it's kinda stomach twisting to think she was doing this at that age let alone on a 44 year old's lap.
 
At her age, she probably shouldn't be doing such promiscuous stuff like that anyway; however, it is her life and she can do with it what she pleases. As for her being a 'teacher' to young girls...well, that is an unfortunate truth as well. I will say, though, that I don't believe she has any obligation to be a role model to anyone. It is just a fact when you become famous. People look up to you. People want to be you. I don't think she has any responsibility, but rather, the parents and the guardians of kids who do idolize her. We can't rely on actors and actresses and singers to be raising our kids. Miley is doing what she wants to do regardless of her age and regardless of what kind of fans she attracts.
 
Oh who the hell are we kidding. I personally lost my virginity when I was 11, as do a LOT of other kids out there.
By 9 kids nowadays know the meaning of having sex and the "birds and bees" talk isn't even necessary. They'll learn. Of course, there's always those really out of place children who do need things explained, but that's a complete separate case.
Miley Cyrus isn't teaching them anything they haven't heard of before, and trying to shield children from everything wrong with this world results in having your own personal Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie.
 
While I don't necessarily agree that the kids who do like Miley will have already been exposed to such behavior, it could definitely be a good time to talk to the child. The issue here is that kids grow up without the proper guidance. They think, "oh, Miley is doing this and doing that, grinding up against a 44-year old gay man and dressing provocatively at such a young age; it must be okay for me to do that, too!" The idea here isn't necessarily to regulate, but rather educate. It's a shame so many parents wonder why their teenage daughters grow up assuming this is acceptable behavior. There's a disconnect between both parent and child; the latter most likely instilled with the mindset that Miley seems to be allowed to do whatever she wants (so why can't they?) If only they would take the time to pay attention to what they're being fed from the media; especially since we're in such a technologically driven age.
 
I lolled... Miley Cyrus is one of my favourite Disney stars out there, because compared to a lot of others who have started out "pure" she is doing considerably well.

In her Party in the USA video, she's considerably more sexy than she has been in other videos before, but I say Kudos to her for going with the floor, and growing up tastefully. She doesn't have a sex tape, she hasn't flashed her vag to the world (I'm looking at yoooooou Hudgens), granted, she's only 17 so she has a long way to go to keep growing up... but I think she's done well so far.

Also I hardly think grinding on a gay guy can be classified as a proper lap dance. :monster:
 
I think we missed a small detail somewhere here. I mean it says he's a gay person who is 44 years old. The dance could've been a joke, something for fun since it also says he produced her movie so they must be familiar with each other, and the more obvious that...he's openly gay. D: In which case for people who were in on it, it would've been pretty easy to read--funny too.

The title of the video is biased, I think. I was expecting a Lap Dancing instruction video or something. :wacky: Up to a point, I can say that I feel bad for her. I read somewhere here about her having to put on her very best behavior 24/7. The whole world may be watching, but that's really too big a burden to put on anyone, let alone a 16 year old (at the time). I think because of that, I'm just not in any position to judge her.

It's hard when you have others decide who you have to be for you. When it comes down to it, she's still just a teenage girl who's having fun.

EDIT: i don't support her actions. but i won't judge her based on this. my cynical and jaded views of public figures aside, i hope she overcomes the'15 minutes of fame' hurdle and stands on her own two feet in her future endeavors. it's a slim hope, but it's there.
 
How do you guys even know thats miley cyrus? I mean, it doesnt show her face and that could be anyone.
 
Oh, honestly, such prudes. I mean, sure it's not preferable for a seventeen year to be behaving that way, but trust me you see worst, much worse. That doesn't mean I support Miley or anything, it just means I'm not going to call her a skank or ho.

I mean, honestly, you can't expect her to remain young and innocent forever. Is she a bad example? Probably. Is she the worst? No. You've got a three year old idolizing and mimicking Lady Gaga, I really think that Miley Cyrus doing a lapdance is really going to have a major effect.

And for god's sake, control yourself in front of cameras, Miley. Or you're going to be a bigger blow up than Lilo!
 
I think its stupid for people to be worried about that, honestly. For one, kids wouldn't be affected by that anyways. It's just a bunch of hype. Second, kids are exposed to so many things these days that it doesn't matter. In this modern age, its not what kids are exposed to, its how they are raised to handle it. If a Miley fan grows up and becomes a stripper, it doesnt have anything to do with Ms. Cyrus, it has to do with their parents being ignorant to what she does 18 hours out of the day.
This is the typical bullsh*t that actually caves in on itself. I mean, parents end up focusing so hard on these kind of things while the real problem sneaks right in and sweeps the carpet from under them.
And then they still blame Miley
 
Who cares, she was dancing and enjoying herself. It's not really that big of a deal. Is the guy just a tad bit old? Yes, but other than that there is nothing wrong with her dancing. And for the record, thats far from a lap dance. As others have said, she's growing up. You can't expect her to not have a good time. She can't stay on a 10 year old mind set her whole life, and only expect her to do or say things that younger kids would say or wanna do.

People dance, people grind to songs, big deal.
 
I used to think it was hilarious how people would blame any Miley fan's actions on Miley Cyrus herself, but now, it's gotten so old that it's nothing less than pathetic and it looks ignorant as shit.

Miley Cyrus works for Disney, so her job is also to be a good role model. Granted, she's not the best person to look up to, but it isn't her job to parent the world. I grew up watching some slutty bitches on TV and I've never taken one skank picture of myself and whatever else Miley or whoever was doing. Why? My parents were smart enough to actually take their sweet time to enlighten me on the importance of self-respect. They didn't let the television babysit me all day. So who's fault would it be if some 4 year old danced around a stripper pole for fun? That would be mommy and daddy's for not doing their job right.

I personally think Miley is a dumb skank-acting moron, but as a human being, she's free to do what she wants. And what makes anyone think Disney gives a shit about little kids and what they see? Miley's been getting away with shit for years, and that's only because she rakes in the money like nobody's business. They're allowing her to make them look a little like crap, but hey, whatever brings in the $$$.

So that alone just tells you how big of a piece of shit Disney is on its own. Miley is just further exposing that. It's only too bad that the deluded morons still believe that Disney is a magical, happy, beautiful wonder to society. I'll pray for those people. Except not.
