Any Dynasty Warriors fans out there? I just picked up 6 just to check it out and I gotta say I'm lovin it. Pretty fun to single handedly slaughter hundreds of enemies by yourself.

Yes, you will be quite surprise of the amount of Dynasty Warriors fans that are around including myself. I am such a huge fan of the series. I consider myself a Wuist for the simple fact that I like majority of the characters especially Sun Quan from that kingdom but excluding Huang Gai who I just find very annoying.

I have about 18 KOEI games in my collection plus I am excited for the release of Strikeforce and DW6: Empires now since
they added Meng Huo to the game
.

I'm a big Dynasty Warriors fan too.It was disappointing not to find a thread about it before this was created.I had rented DW6 sometime ago,it was good but my favorite character wasn't in.Da Qiao and I don't understand why they didn't put her.I find the letters pretty small and I couldn't read them,is there a way to fix that except of changing your television?
Can't wait to see more DW games but I hope they are for consoles I already own cause many spin-offs are for like PSP which I don't own and I can't play it.

Your better off getting the DW6: Special for PS2 if you are in the USA because you will be able to view the dialouge text better for the cutscene plus 6 of the characters get new weapons, movesets, and their own musou mode.

As far as the spinoffs go, Strikeforce is for PSP (March 24, 2009) and DW6: Empires is for PS3 and XBox 360 which will all be released sometime this fall probably.

I am an active member of the koeiwarriors forum again so you will most likely see me on there mpore than here.

Another big fan here, not just Dynasty Warriors but Samurai Warriors and above all Warriors Orochi.

Well my favorite characters from the series is Lu Bu. :P
I also like Ma Chao, Cao Pi, Zhang Liao and some more.

I agree I was wondering if anyone had made a thread about this game, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Well if she entered the game she would had a clone moveset to her sister. And there were plenty of cloned movesets already... I'm very disappointed with DW6, it fails in comparison to DW5 or WO/WO2.

... and a lot of laggage, not even the 2-disc game was able to fix that. Tbh that game was better off on PS3 alongside DW6E.

Gan Ning is my boy I borrowed a few other DW (3-5) from a firend and he's gotta be my favorite. I'd go with Lu Bu but he is always so beasty in everyone so I'll go with the pirate. Each one changes everytime though I saw. Like either availble characters in Musou mode and weapons. I haven't gotten too far in Musou mode in 6 unlocked Gan Ning and Diao Chan and complete Zhou Yu and Guan Yu not very far do I get to play as Lu Meng anytime in this one? I really like that character. Well especially since he's kinda Gan Ning mentor or whatever

Oh yeahhhh, I had plenty of that when playing and it even froze up my game once when I was doing challenge mode with Taishi Ci but I still find it enjoyable with the new weapons and movesets.

Besides, I did pretty much everything in DW6 as far completing all musou modes, leveling everyone at 50 except for 5 of them, and got about half of the 90+ attack level weapons for my characters. The only thing I gave up one besides leveling the 5 characters (Cao Ren, Zhang Jiao, Guan Ping, Xiahou Yuan, and Huang Gai) at 50 was finding Red Hare. The requirements to finding the rare horses is ridiculous.

Since this game spans across multiple platforms, I'll go ahead and shift this over to 'Multiple Platforms.' :)

Ah, I loved these series until I forgot to buy them one day. The thing that caught me was how many familiar names such as Nobunaga Oda were present. The games were good, although the difficulty was always somewhat lacking =/

Well . . . Dynasty Warriors is a good game, I have 4 and 5 but since I also have "Samurai Warriors 2" I didn't it like it as much as SW2 from the gameplay and the mosou Gauge, Warriors Orochi was kinda good too I liked it much, Orochi was kinda hard when I played with Nobunaga and my level was 90, although I heard that there's a Gundam Dynasty Warriors. o_O

Ya I've seen the Gundam DW as a demo looks like the same thing just gundam style

The games can be pretty easy to play even on Chaos mode once your level up pretty high.

I wish they at least made one new Warriors game that was based off the very first Dynasty Warriors game which was a fighting game with more updated graphics and characters because sometimes I get tired of hack and slashing of the same moves even though I enjoy the characters themselves especially Zhang He. I just love his sense of style and cheeky personality he brings to the battlefield. He always has something to say that will just make me laugh which is why I like him the most in Wei.

Who were the three characters you used in Warriors Orochi?Basically what was your team? You can say for both games if you want.

When it comes to Warriors Orochi 2 since I like this game more then the first one. My teams basically go like this:

Speed Team
Xiahou Dun - R1 spam.
Nu Wa - S string almighty spam.
Zhang He - C1 spam almighty.

Power Team
Sun Quan - Almighty tiger.
Sun Ce - C4 spam.
Tachibana - R1 spam.

Tech Team
Liu Bei - Almighty S-string attack spam.
Magoichi - Combo almighty spam.
Okuni - Combo almighty spam.

Overall Team
Sun Quan - Easy to juggle, useful R1, and a good Almighty character.
Motochika - Fun to juggle around with his R1+S-strings and musou attacks.
Zhou Tai - Fun to spam his C1 and R1 attacks with Almighty.

I used Nobunaga Oda, Mitsuhide Akechi and Hanzo Hattori my favorite characters is SW2. xD (I liked playing with Yukimura Sanada in SW2, too) anyway Mitsuhide was 87 I believe and Hanzo was 80 and even though I had a hard time playing with Orochi. Aha . . hahaha ^^;

by the way Warriors Orochi brings one hell of a time to take all the characters, and play all the side-missions, and the Musou gauge goes in a short time.

Edit: There's Warriors Orochi 2? :gasp:

I'm sorry to say so Kei,but yes.It was released around October-November 2008 if I'm not wrong.I have the japanese version because I couldn't wait for its release.

Yes there has been a Warriors Orochi 2 game out since September of 2008. You'll be more surprised to know they are releasing Warriors Orochi Z for PS3 which is just more of an added on feature of WO1 and WO2 combined.

You can find information on the game here and through the forum. Same goes for DW: Strikeforce, DW6: Empires, and Samurai Warriors 3.
