Is Seifer Edea's Lover

I know this is a weird question but some of the stuff in this game leads to the point that Seifer was in fact Edea's lover.

I mean like when she said to him..."Aren't you tired of being a boy?" and "Come with me I if you want to leave your childhood behind"

And after a while he was kinda acting obsessed with her and like he got a piece of that. I believe she was his first....wait I hope I don't get banned. I'm just speaking the true and I wanna know if anyone else believe he was Edea's lover.
 
nah. Edea didn't seem the horny type, even though she dressed the way she did. notice she had no kids of her own, and raised seifer as a child. it would be kinda sick for her to sleep with him.
And in the past, becoming a man wasn't having sex for the first time, it was taking responsibilities that at one point you could not handle. remember she put him at the head of the army. He was the leader. and about the whole obsession thing. Seifer just idolized the character Laguna had played in the movie. Seifer wanted to be Laguna.

It was more or less a son/mommy relationship between Seifer, and Edea. I couldn't even imagine otherwise, what with her raising him as a child in the orphanage, and whatnot.
 
So? One time my mom told me some kid married and got his thing on with his grandma. Daaaaaammmn.... That had to have been one HOT granny.

But on topic here.... Possibly. He was always saying something about being her "knight" and we know the idea that comes with that word in this sense. Squall even ripped it off Seifer and copied him. *insert witty insult here*

So I say it could be possible, but strange. xD
 
ewww. no edea was married to cid and THEY were lovers no matter how gross that may be. eww she raised him in an orphanage that'd be so messed up.
 
Edea raised him like her son. She was using him anyways. =/. Plus, look at her...she's OLD! Like anyone would want to get with that anytime soon. xD.
 
Could be a possibility, but I honestly don't think so. FFVIII wasn't about sex. Sure it has a lot of romance in it, but no sexual innuendos or anything.

As a knight, one has to bear many responsibilities. That was Seifer's dream. To be a knight and become someone of great importance. Kinda like a "right-hand" if you will.

About the obsession part...I don't think he was actually obsessed with Edea herself, but rather the idea that he is now her knight. A sorceress' knight. Notice that when it came to Adel, Seifer was willing to give Rinoa to her. It's all about ambition to him, no matter who the sorceress is.
 
Edea and Cid are the lovers/ex-lovers.

Seifer is just out for his own benefits and he's been corrupted by Sorceresses that have been corrupted ultimately by Ultemacia. I can't imagine anyone having a love relationship with Seifer though. Maybe him and Laguna would ahve made a good couple in the long-run. But that jsut sounds like the start of a sick-minded FanFic, so I'll leave it at that.

Edea + Cid.
 
nah they werent cid was edeas lover. Seifer was just her knight although theyre relationship was kinda weird throughout the game

... ahem? Old? I'm not THAT Old XD... And why wouldn't anyone want to get with this? hmmm...?

lol anyway. no Edea and Seifer were DEFINITELY NOT lovers... Edea was married to Cid, and Seifer was nothing more than a pawn in Ultimecia's grand scheme... he was just being used to do her dirty work and nothing more
 
No Seifer and Edea could not be lovers in that sort of way. Edea raised Seifer as a kid so a mother/son type of love is possible. As was stated before Seifer was obssesed with his romantic dream which was to be the Sorceress's knight. Now that he has his dream in his grasp he will do anything to keep it, that is why he does everything and goes to any lenght and means to please the Sorceress.
 
I don't believe that those two were really lovers. They just didn't seem to like each other in that sort of way. I don't think Edea was even interested in him, same as Seifer. I think he was just interested in becoming the Sorceress' Knight more than anything. Besides, Edea was married to Cid and I think she loves him a lot!:P I think she was a bit too old for him, that relationship would have look very, very strange.
 
I see it as a parent relationship. Edea was after all Seifers carer, so in a way it came through when she was the sorceror. She wanted to give him his dream of becoming a Knight. There was no romance as far as Im concerned.

I’d have to say it was more of a manipulation than anything else in my opinion. Edea, knowing Seifer’s life long dream, used that to her advantage by manipulating him all throughout the game.

Edea didn't manipulate anyone. Ultimecia was inside her body, she manipulated him(and Galbadia). The line about not being a boy, was said by Ultimecia. Actually, everything coming from Edea's mouth in the first two discs, was said by Ultimecia. She was inside Edea, controlling/possesing her body.

You are right though, I was Ultimecia... Sorry, I clearly had Edea on the brain only while writing this tread. ;)
 
no seifer wasn't edea's lover.
She treated him as a child of her own after Cid didn't give her any children.

I belive that Seifer is a wierd example of the Odeupus Example choosing Edea as a Mother. as in D- District Prision Seifer says he has fullfilled his Romantic Dream
 
no seifer wasn't edea's lover she acted more like a mother towards him and he saw her as a mother so he wouldnt want to be her lover, and he is a henchman with no itelligance, infact the only thing he is good for is getting beaten by Squall.
