That old piece of shit?
Everyone I talk to says it's brilliant... All it really is is a money sucking game, making you buy more and more figures in order to complete it... Anyone with half a brain can/should realize that the entire concept of the game was to leech money off of people...

i don't get why it has Spyro in it... or is it just a dragon that looks exactly like spyro?

It's basically Pokemon, only using action figures from what I have been able to tell.

only the first one was spyro. it's a different franchise that only little kids play.

I have no idea what anyone in this thread is talking about.

Perhaps I'm even more out of touch. :O

I've never even heard of this franchise.

I do know Spyro though. He's awesome, but I'm confused about how even Spyro is in the loop about this thing.

ive no idea either, but ive been out of touch for quite some time now

They've abused Spyro's legacy entirely! :sad3: Insomniac should never have given permission to anyone else to use him.

Spyro is not just some generic character you slap in a bundle of platform rejects. Spyro had a trilogy of hits on the PS1!

That one was my favorite Spyro..something about the third one turned me off a little, it wasn't a bad game or anything, I just felt like the second one was so much better.

I also miss the old crash games :sad3:
My favorite enemy in each one was Tiny

Anthropomorphic platformer characters using animals are not as popular now as they had been up to 10 years ago.

Most franchises such as Spyro and Crash have since had reboots, but then fallen into a form of obscurity, or have largely been abandoned by their old fanbase.

Personally I loved these types of games...
Crash, Croc, Spyro, T'ai Fu (though that is really platformer with kung-fu thrown in)...

Many more too, but these are the ones that are springing to my mind.

They are mostly PSX era. Beyond that I do not think they remained popular.

Ratchet and Clank is the main one that I think is still going, and is still popular.

I've never played one though, so I can't criticise it.

But I agree on the whole, we do need these sorts of animal-based characters to return. I personally loved them. Perhaps not the same franchises, but new platformers...

Then again, I guess a lot of gamers got bored of them... But, on the other hand, I'm very bored with CoD-type games, and racing games, and football games and all of that stuff, so there are bound to be other people who would rather play animal platformers.
