Playstation ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection

That would be shitty Jewtube quality messing it up for you. :sad3: I'll see if I can find some better vidyas of it to put out.
Okay, cool :ryan:

cuz I've always wanted to play this game so it'd be cool to know which one I should buy. :hmmm:

Personal preference and biased as fuck opinion: Shadow of the Colossus.

There are times I wish I could forget ever playing that game, just so I can go back and play it again for the first time. :sad3: The game is wonderful, and the enemies you fight are on a colossal scale (hence the name). It's touching, and every boss is highly unique in their own way.

Not to mention that the soundtrack blows me away. It goes along so well with the game perfectly. It seriously has some of the best music I've ever heard in a video game. :gasp:

Ico is fun too... but if I had to pick one to play on a desert island for the rest of my life, I would pick Shadow of the Colossus in a heartbeat. :mokken:

Shadow of the Colossus is the only game in the world that got me in tears, and that's one hell of a feat for a game that has barely any dialogue. Such a beautiful game, it's practically a work of art. It didn't force anything down the player's throat, it just immersed you into the world and let your own emotions drive you.

ICO & Shadow of Colossus Collection

ICO and Shadow of Colossus Collection Screenshots

Sony released 21 screenshots of the ICO and Shadow of Colossus Collection. As we have suspected, these remastered version are basically almost the same with the ones of PS2. The main difference is that they support 3D stereoscopic and they run at 1080p. However, we’d expect to see new and more detailed textures. Sadly though, it seems that the team didn’t bother at all to replace the original textures. The simply passed the original textures through some sharpen filters. Take a look for yourself after the jump.

I always meant to pick these two bad boys up at one stage for the PS2 but never got around to it sadly, or couldn't find them in shops. Definitely not going to miss them this time around, though I do need to finally get down to buying a PS3 soon

Didn't Ringo already posted a thread regarding this collection.

This is true. Ohri had also posted a thread about it a while earlier. I've merged all three threads to make it easier to find everything regarding this collection.

Ico And The Shadow Of The Colossus In A Deluxe Package Just For Japan

image41.png

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for PlayStation 3 will be sold as separate PlayStation 3 games in Japan for 3,980 yen ($50) each. That’s a bit more than SCEA’s Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection double pack, which goes for $39.99.
Japan has one item to envy, a neat Ueda collectable the Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Limited Box. This bundle packs both PlayStation 3 games (in separate cases) plus a 100 page booklet into a slip cover. Sony is also packing a product code for downloadable content with the 6,980 yen ($86) collection.

Ico and the Shadow of Colossus Collection is slated for release on September 27 in North America.

ICO/Shadow of the Colossus Collection gets big video blowout

IGN’s gone up with at least more than 15 minutes worth of footage from the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection. There’s the first five minutes of ICO, more than ten minutes worth from the opening of Colossus and more. They look utterly stunning, so go watch them after the break. The pack’s out at the end of September for PS3.

Bonus Content Revealed for Shadow of the Colossus and Ico HD

Loads of people are getting excited for the impending HD remasters of Shadow of the Colossus and Ico slated to release late next month, and these bonus features aren’t going to do much to kill the fervor.

The discs will include:

-Early concept and prototype video montage of ICO
-Early concept and prototype video montage of Shadow of the Colossus
-Initial concept video for NICO, a game that was never made but turned into Shadow of the Colossus, including an on-camera introduction from creator Fumito Ueda
-Candid 20+ minute round-table discussion between Fumito Ueda (creator), Kenji Kaido (producer) and Junichi Hosono (designer)

The news came from the official PlayStation Blog today (which also featured a full list of the trophies from both games,) and should be great news for fans of the games. Video games these days are kept so highly secret that it’s wonderful to get even a small glimpse behind the curtain.
It’s unknown how long or substantial each of those features are (besides the last one, of course.)

ICO/Shadow of the Colossus Collection videos still impress

We missed these in the avalanche of Tokyo Game Show videos that came our way yesterday. Sony released two brand new trailers of the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, each highlighting both games.

In all honesty, is there anyone who isn’tinterested in this pack? It should be mandatory you all get it. Get the videos below the break.

The Team ICO-made collection releases on September 27 in the US and September 28 in the UK.

Pre-ordered it last night. Not much to say except they look incredible and I cannot wait to play them.

Shadow of the Colossus is amazing they did a wonderful job with the HD aspect. Loved the ending, but the game is too short. Took me 10 hours to complete..

ICO has terrible camera fixes..the camera is fixed on the char non stop..huge bummer but just accept it and it's like an amazing journey.

Love the music at the save point its epic..also the guy and girl fall in sleep at the save point/couch after a while.. such a beautiful detail..

These games are unique and I cant believe I missed them on ps2..Im so ashamed.. :mokken:

Also no dub is epic...

I've not played Ico all the way though but I loved Shadow of the Colossus just as much as I did when I originally played it. It is a really short game though, after I completed it the first time I went straight into a second playthrough and finished it in just under 4 hours. But I suppose the replay value comes from having to finish the time attack and then hard mode and time attack hard as well as collecting all the fruits and lizards which are a pain in the arse -.-
