Okay the title is pretty self explanatory I think.

I'm curious to know what peoples routines are for keeping their skin in check.

E.g. What kinds kinds of facial cleansers or moisturisers do you use?

Well for me I do a morning and night routine of cleansers, toners and moisturisers every day in order to retain near flawless skin. >_<

Considering I work in a Pharmacy I get nearly all my skin care and oral care etc needs at half price, which really comes in handy because the good stuff is unbelievably expensive and I wouldn't buy it otherwise.

Day and Night Routine is as follows:

1. Dr Lewinn's Puressence Foaming Cleanser.
2. Dr Lewinn's Puressence Facial Toner.
3. Dr Lewinn's Puressence Day and Night Fluid. (moisturiser)
4. Dr Lewinn's Puressence Eye Gel. (moisturiser)

EDIT: I also use Clearasil for the random pimple here and there. >_<

These products in particular are meant to delay the signs of premature aging by 5 years within 6 months of continuous use.

We'll see though. =P

Post your routines and/or products you use please!

I don't use anything. Well, I lied. I just use whatever acne facial wash my mom buys for my brother. I just like the feeling of having a clean face in the morning.

I don't bother with moisturizers. My skin is fine the way it is and I rarely break out. Using moisturizers make your skin dependent on them, so I rather not waste money on something that I don't need. My skin is smooth and healthy enough as it is.

Just clearasil for me, I cant use moisturiser, my face hates it, makes me feel greasy. As long as Ive vigorously exfoliated morning and night Im happy

I really ought to get back into moisturisng the rest of me though, I aint getting any younger D:

I've been getting a bit of acne for the past couple years but it's not too bad really anymore. Still more then "just a break out" though. I basically just use Pro Activ every night. It really helps over time and sometimes i can see a difference in the day after i use it. Though it never gets rid of all my acne, i feel that my skin is clearer when i use it. I also use Clearsil in my shower from time to time when i got time.

My skin has always been a bit of a problem since I hit my teens. D: It's always blotchy or spotty or oily or just generally a mess, I envy people with nice skin. :( I usually use a facial cleanser in the mornings and nights, but I rarely use it in the morning because I always sleep in and don't have time, and at nights I sometimes forget or cba. >_> I normally use moisturiser after cleansing so that my skin doesn't dry out, but it always makes my skin all blotchy and greasy afterwards, and it makes me look really old. :( I try to drink 2 litres of water a day too but it's just impossible. Water's the only thing I drink and I still can't manage it. D: I hate my skin so much. ><

I have never worn any skin products in my life, except some cream for dry skin. But that's about it. I got really nice and smooth skin, no products needed.

Just soap and water for me and I've probably had a total of 2 spots on my face during my whole life, including chicken pocks. :wacky:

I suppose you could count after-shave moisturiser because I break out in a rash if I don't use it - I'm an electric razor user.

I hate you, yuo're so lucky :grumpy:

If I only used soap and water my skin would hate me, I can get away with using Dove, but everything else I seem to react to, and I have to exfoliate D:

Im really obsessive over it really, I only use the face wash, but Il never sleep out anywhere on a whim if I know I wont have any face wash, Id rather pay 20 quid to get home and wash my face than use some horrid soap......god forbid if its imperial leather my face HATES that D:<

I can totally sympathise with you Jane, my skin hates me D:

exfoliate D:
That reminds me, actually. I went to the Doctor's with rough skin on my face and arms, thinking it was more serious than it was - he said that I simply needed to exfoliate more because the roughness was caused by layers of dead skin, which sounds awful, but I've used a lofa twice a day since then (about 10 years ago) and the roughness has never disappeared. I get away with it now because of my facial and arm hair but it's still there nonetheless.

Maybe you just need some moisturiser for dry skin? I swear by exfoliating though, I do it from head to toe every day....probably why I still look liek a 12 year old xD

since my hands become extremely dry during the winter.

Aye same thing with me. Only difference is i rarely use hand lotion only because i cba :wacky:
I hate dry skin.. Makes your hands look so scaly and gross D: and sometimes it gives me cuts and such. Very painful D:

I hate electric razors, you can't get a close shave, eugh they're just horrible imo.
I use moisturiser if I'm going out you need to look fresh you wake up in the morning. Besides that, just water and a cloth and plenty of sunlight.

The only things I put on my skin are soap, aftershave and shaving foam and that's only to prevent cuts, smell nice and stay clean 8D

I don't like rubbing things into my skin, it makes me feel weird and sorta "unnatural" to a certain degree :wacky: nevertheless, I've never had a problem with my skin to need products, I rarely get spots which is a good thing because I think I may be allergic to that stuff you put on your face to sort them out since last time I did it went red and dry >.>

I occasionally use a cleanser from time to time if my face feels dirty, then I usually follow that with a toner. I also like to use moisturiser sometimes before I go out because it makes my skin feel fresh. I don't really have a daily routine though.

I got the gene where well, my skin ain't so pruddy if I don't wash it every morning >_<. I got pretty oliy skin so I HAVE to wash it every morning and night. It's gotten better now that I've gotten older but, I do it just for the heck of it better to have a clean face anyways. [:
I use Apricot Scrub where I rub it in and all that crap to make it prettyful :awesome: (day and night)
I also use acne treatment for those few select pimples. >_>.
I wish I had perfect skin -_-

I just wash my face every morning with a pad. I don't like putting soap on my face, since it gets in my eyes, and I always seem to miss some of it when washing it off >_>

Soapy pads smell nicer though, and they reach more places and are easier to wash off.

I'm a guy, so out of fear of growing a vagina, I don't use too many facial care products. I do however, get frequent acne problems so I've instituted a regiment that helps me take care of that. I was my face several times of day with scrubs and sanitizers, and then I have various skin ointments and face masks to prevent breakout. Other than that though, my skin can be dry and chaffed for all I care.

My skin is totally weird when it comes to breaking out and such. I never have had bad acne, so thankfully I've never had to have shots like a few of my friends had as well as bought out a lot of costly face products to medicate.

When going through the normal teenage phase of course I broke out more with zits and stuff, but I also picked up on a few things.

1) My skin does not like any face products .. and I do mean any. The dryer my face is due to products the more I break out. So I only run hot water over my face.

2) Watch what I eat.. down here we have a lot of "fried" food. So I have to watch how I eat and make sure I don't smear the shiznit all over my face.

3) Cold weather of course I break out less

4) Warm weather I break out more

5) The less I have my hands on my face, the less likely I'll have anything at all on my face.

These days though I barely see anything on my face aside from an occasional ingrown hair thanks to shaving. I use an electric razer for trimming and then if I need to get rid of the rest I'll use a normal razer which is very rare. The only thing I have trouble with every now and again is razer burn.. but that's only if I forget aftershave.

The reason I use all the products I listed in my first post is because I'm addicted to my make-up and therefore need to use those products daily in order for my skin not to turn dry and rough. XD

I could take the easy road and just not wear any make-up ever again. I've never had problems with my skin before besides the odd pimple here and there, and also that my skin isn't an even skin colour all over. That's about it though.

However, I like to look professional and in the business I'm in, make-up makes up about half of what my job is about. In order to promote the business, make-up is necessary. Therefore, in order for my skin to be awesome when the make-up comes off, I buy products that do the job no matter what the cost. >_<
