How many times did you have to repurchase a FF game just because one of the disc got scratched up or if something else happened to it? I had to repurchase FF7 twice.
I don't know if it already have a thread for this but............ I looked honestly I did.

I had to buy FFVIII three times. 4 disk games really fail. Luckily they were cheap, being like 8 dollars at this thrift store where I got them. I also had to buy FFIX again after I bought the game without disk three. I was robbed and did not realize untill the end of disk 2 :sad3:

Purchased 7 once. 6 years ago. Just now one disc was screwed up.

A few weeks ago, we went to Hastings and add them redp the disc and clean it up. All the discs looked new...but disc two got worse. Still haven't purchased a new copy, and wouldn't for 100 dollars.

I bought 8 two times because the disc image scratched off and the playstation couldn't read it :(

I've only ever repurchased one FF title and that's FFVII, not because the disk was scratched or I desperately wanted to play it. Simply for the fact I thought it might be nice to play it so I purchased in on the PSN store since I don't own the physical copy of the disk anymore :monster:

I've never had to repurchase an FF game.

That said, I don't often go back to them. It's not so much that I don't want to play them, as I honestly would love to play them all again right now. Instead it's because I've had other games to occupy myself with, and have only gone back on FF's and replayed the begining portions of a game for a bit, but then get busy with other games and never end up going all the way through again.

Therefore I don't know if the end discs work or anything like that, as I haven't got to them for ages. They should be in relatively good condition though, but the first discs are sometimes a bit scratchy.

I might in the future end up having to buy them again to replace damaged discs (I think a few of my FF7 discs might need replacing), but only if they stop working altogether.

And since I never trade in games (yes, this does mean I have a HECK of a lot of games now which is the main reason I've avoided posting pictures of them in the game collection thread), I never get rid of an FF I own, so there is no reason to buy them back if I have the urge to play then as I'll already have them.

So no, I haven't had to repurchase any FF game at any time.

I've had to re-purchase most of them a fair few times. Not so much anymore but when i was younger i was a bit careless with the disks or my brother got hold of them (grrr!) and then decided that ages later i wanted to play them and i couldnt because one of us had managed to scratch it. and 12..i managed to lose somewhere i still havent come across that one..woops!

I had to buy a new copy of FFVIII because there was a huge scratch on disc 1. Apperently my friends PS2 had a disliking for PS1 games :(

That happens a lot. My PS2 totaled my copy of FFVI Anthology. :(
Game works, but now it has a small, visible scratch. :gasp:

IX i've had to repurchase because it was so badly scratched that the sences wouldn't play >.< I also remember buying VIII for the second time because I think I lost it... X I think I bought a total of three/ four times?? first time I lost it second time I let a friend borrow it and never got it back and the third time when I was doing Tidus' version of his dads blitzball thing and I..... (I know i'm dumb) I thought it was messed up because I couldn't do it like I was doing the moves but it still wouldn't work and apparently I scratched the damn thing -__-

^ That sucks. I never could do the Blitz ball part on the ship. I could do it half way, but failed at the end every time.

So far, I've only VIII the most out of all the copies :(

I've never actually repurchased a FF game, but two of them are going a bit bad, IV and VI. I have the SNES cartridges still, but last time I tried playing IV, the overworld screen for the underground was streaked with extra magma images, and something similar happened in the overworld for VI. I'm playing them both on emulators now anyway, but it'd still be nice to have the cartridges working. IX was giving me trouble recently too--even though none of the discs are scratched, my PS2 wouldn't read them every time I turned it on so I had to mash the reset button, which became a kind of game in itself.

i never had to rebuy any final fantasy game. i actually played 7,8,9 a lot and never had any problem with the discs at all. my discs sort of look scratch up but it never freeze or not play on me before. but then i haven't gone back to them in like years now so maybe if i did now maybe it won't work

I've had to replace a few of my Final Fantasy disks. I had most of the series when i was younger but when i traded in my ps1 for a ps2 i ended up trading in every ps1 game that i owned. BIG MISTAKE for Final Fantasy VII since it ended up being worth 80 dollars canadian. So i slowly bought each one back. I still need to replace FFIX because the disk doesn't play anymore...

I had to purchase FFX twice. It just got jammed in the scenes and wouldn't do some attacks.
Right now I'm playing FFXII and it just got jammed -_-' so I have to buy another one...

I'm on my 3rd copy of FFIX, but not because I destroy the discs.
Basically, the first version was my mum's, and she sold it once she'd completed it because she's not really one for re-doing games.
Then I got my own copy, but it was second-hand, and it had a glitch on disc 3 which really annoyed me.
So then I had to get another copy of my own... finally, I have one that works!

Similar thing happened with VIII... I bought a copy second hand but it glitched somewhere on the first disc so I had to buy another one.

Technically I've never bought the same exact FF game more than once.

I've bought a few remakes, but the same exact game and version? Nope, never had to.

I guess I was lucky or just took great care of my games :awesome:

I've never had to repurchase any FF games, as I keep all of mine in good condition. Though I did download a copy of FFVIII that had been edited to allow it to be played on the PSP, as at the moment I haven't got any Sony consoles apart from a PSP.
