Hey all
I was playing FFVI last night, and as I reached a save point, there was a nice blue flash, and I was half expecting the party to be healed completely. I racked my brain, and to my knowledge, FFX is the only main FF game in which the save point heals the party completely. How did you guys feel about it?
Looking back, I think "wow, that must have taken a lot of challenge out of the game", but FFX was actually very challenging first time around (Yunalesca, Seymour Flux), and those battles were nasty irrelevent of whether the save points heal completely.
I guess all it really does is replace tents. So maybe Square adjusted the money system to account for the fact you won't be buying tents. It also made grinding a little easier, because IIRC, you need only talk to the sphere to be healed; you don't have to save.
Perhaps I'm thinking about it too much, but how did you guys feel it changed the game?
